The campground was clean, and the staff was friendly. Camp sites were not too cluttered and separated by a decent amount of trees, which was nice. There is a small store nearby that sells a number of useful items, such as, food and camping equipment. The only complaint I have is the punctuality of the staff. Showers are available at the service center behind the store for $ 3(10min) to kens. Inside the store shower times are 6AM to 9PM, however in the actual shower area the sign reads 6:30AM to 9PM. At 7AM we were still waiting for someone to unlock the showers. Eventually another camper who was waiting decided to phone the mammoth cave hotel to inform them of the problem. It turns out that someone just forgot to do their job. Unacceptable. We were on a very tight schedule and had no time for lollygaggers.

Beautiful wooded camp spots. Bathrooms located in each loop are convenient, heated(but no hot water) and clean, well-lit at night. Camp store is walking distance to most sites. Mammoth Cave visitor center is also ¼ mile so very walkable, bikeable.
