A treasure for Malibu and overall for the entire West Coast of Southern California… I come by here for the made to order sandwiches, but they also offer made to order pizzas, salads, and Paninis. Nestled in their deli section is also a wide variety of fresh pastries, tarts, macarons, and canoli’s, along with cupcakes, slices of cake, and then there is a juice and smoothie bar next to their in-house coffee shop! And meanwhile, if youre a local or you need to pick up a few groceries for a picnic, this store will remind you of a Whole Foods or a Trader Joes where it offers corporate brand generic items, but also locally sourced, organic, and healthier alternatives to their produce, beverage, meat, and snacks.

The best grocery store in Malibu. By far the best selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. They even have items that aren’t typically at other supermarkets including Meyer lemons and ginger roots. They have a fantastic prepared foods and buffet section that makes getting a healthy dinner on-the-go both easy and quick. I would recommend their lobster bisque and their salmon fillets. VG also has a wonderful tea selection. I got an amazing pack of loose-leaf mango lavender tea and even bought a matching tea diffuser bottle that was adjacent to it on the shelf. They also have great whole grain pasta, tomato sauce, and breakfast options including locally-sourced, cage-free eggs. The employees are always extremely kind and helpful, especially those that work at the cash registers. My only suggestion would be to make sure you guys check ID. My boyfriend and I bought a bottle of wine and no one asked to see his ID despite the fact that we could pass as 18-year-olds. Because VG offers a Pepperdine discount, they should be more cautious. The girl behind us in line also wasn’t carded and was almost definitely underage. Walked out with a 6-pack of beer. Minus that concern, this place is the best.

Dude, awesome deli. More like awesome service. Cooper specifically. Just a chill dude with a positive disposition. Pretty damn cute too, but I digress. Great sandwiches, y’all. 10⁄10 for Cooper. Just saying.

I go to starbucks every morning thanks to mobile order, but i NEVER go to this grocer because everything is absolutely ridiculously overpriced. I easily drive to ralphs down pch or head to camarillo to do my grocery shopping because i’d prefer to pay normal prices for things. Like… i cant even justify spending a dime in there. I went in once and never again. Ironically it’s the closest grocery store to me but I refuse.

Never again, my boyfriend and I paid $ 60 dollars for two salads, a small soup and two juices. I get it, it’s Malibu but this place just robs people. Ridiculously priced.

I like this place. It’s pretty sexy. However, I have mixed feelings. Pros: –Easy and clean bathroom –Good coffee and even better baristas. They know their flat whites. –Good vegan blueberry donut –Nice people and easy location –Fair prices Cons: –Horrible croissants. I could go on for days about this. Their croissants shouldn’t be called croissants. I guarantee the proper process was not involved in the baking of their croissants. Moreover, they seemed processed and pre-packaged. I promise, if they had real croissants, I would have a mile more of appreciation. –The awkward and ginormous fan at the entrance. So much for a quiet seating arrangement for a relaxing coffee.

This is a convenient grocer for us. It is nice and clean. I come here when I do not want to drive up to Pavilions, because of beach traffic. They have a very limited selection and it is a bit overpriced. They definitely cater to the beach-goers that come down to Malibu on the weekends.

Coffee bar was excellent, food bar had a large variety much better than whole foods. Very similar in products and pricing. Much more gluten-free options which I HIGHLY appreciated. Came here twice in our stay.

Vintage Grocers was our lunch spot during our run through Malibu. We came on a Sunday and it was pretty awesome. It’s like a small Whole Foods, which really works for the area. I got a chicken pesto Panini with potato salad and wedge of pickle. This beats the heck out of a Subway sandwich. I was looking at other options in the hot food section and they have a boxed option where you get to fill you box and pay by the weight. Next time I want to try out that whole roasted turkey they had back there. Maybe I could snag a whole turkey leg? If you need some higher quality groceries in the Malibu area, Vintage Grocers is the place. There’s a ton of parking in the back, so you don’t have to fight for a spot.

Worth a stop to refill. Their in-house bakery has the most incredible stuff to go… and it is not that pricey at all.

I have grown to appreciate Vintage Grocers more and more since they opened. They have spectacular management that cares and listens to customers. They have become a valuable community resource that brings people together. The deli and hot food sections have improved with time. The meat and fish selection is incredible. The homemade chicken Italian sausage is perfect. It’s still expensive, but they even have a few specials now and then. Nice job Vintage!

I love great and fresh product. I love wonderful markets. I search for wonderful steaks and seafood. Organic and local produce make me smile. I have invested in the grocery business and know the industry. In my mind, I have never seen a better compact market than Vintage Grocers in Malibu. You enter and on the right are some wonderful looking organic produce. On the left of a coffee, juice bar along with amazing looking gelato. Moving around the market you will see a great butcher shop with great cuts and prime aged beef. The seafood looks alive and it sings. You will also find fresh pizza being take out of the oven. An amazing looking salad bar. A hot food bar and unlike many Whole Foods Markets, the food looks fresh and delicious. Now, there is also a bakery with the best cup cakes around. Thing along with a good wine and liquor selection. Also, the staff is friendly and helpful and the atmosphere has rustic charm and you can eat off the floor. I mean, this place is around 10,000 sq. ft and I have no idea what is missing at any level including the non-perishables. Yes, the place is a little pricey but what does one expect in Malibu right next to the beach in a truly well done small shopping plaza. No, I have not invested in this place but would love too and take it beyond this little plaza as there is no place in LA or elsewhere like it.

Man what a great place to shop! Hidden just up the PCH near Zuma Beach, this eclectic little grocery store playcates that inner unique foodie who likes to have everything at our fingertips besides looking at a menu we want to go out and find it… but all at one place! There is a great little cheese and meat section and a better than Whole Foods general goods, for less. I mean if we’re talking $ signs, with Whole Foods being $$$$ this place would be $$$, but thats at least 25% less for better goods! Albeit it’s a little… ok kinda a lot, out of the way, it’s worth pulling over for a picnic at the stone and grass area next door or take it literally 100 meters(hey I work with a lot of International artists) to the beach across the street. This has become my happy place to come to; past Pepperdine, past Duke’s, past all of those homes where people rent out for commercials — there’s this place. Please go and support the Vintage Grocers! And I hope they don’t change! ENJOY!

Fantastic store full of incredible products, and people! The energy in Vintage is palpable. Each employee seems equally as interested in the products and the customer’s experience of shopping in a community-based store. Every customer seems just as happy to be shopping there as every employee working around the store … and that alone is rare to find during any shopping experience, let alone at the grocery store. Even calling Vintage a «grocery store» almost limits what this place is. I love all of the locally sourced products available, freshly prepared meals, coffee bar, seafood, massive cheese section … everything. They also support the community through various charitable barbecues, sales and live music events. Keep up the great work, Vintage!

Great market for the size. It’s tiny compared to most supermarkets, but the usage of space is prime. They have everything you need, and some things you didn’t know you needed till you saw them! In the deli/bakery, they make everything in house. It’s stellar, the food is fresh, and good quality. We got a chicken sandwich from the deli, and I think they even make tier own pickles! I’ve eaten pre-made food here a few times and it’s always been awesome, They have a cold press juice bar, hot and cold food bars, great cheese monger, awesome bakery… The only flaws I see are the size of the store, and the prices are a touch higher than normal, but all in all this is one of the better grocery stores to wander around. Good job guys!

All I can say is. Wow I am completely in love with this supermarket in Malibu! This is an upscale market with a fresh juice bar, buffet style food bar, deli, etc WITHOUT the pretentiousness of places like Whole Foods. The staff and shoppers are very down to earth and it’s like shopping at a family operated business. What I particularly have to rave about is the hot food bar. I think I could get my lunch from there everyday. The selections are plentiful(They even have good Chinese food and gluten-free options) and a whole lotta variety of scrumptious and tempting cake/desserts. I got to try the fudge chocolate cake and it was out of this world! And a jumbo vegetarian burrito for only $ 5! I’m longing to try the much talked about Beachy Cream ice cream. Lots of parking space as well.

I love that they’ve made a BEAUTIFUL little shopping Center out of the old old How’s Trancas corner… we popped in to the grocer’s yesterday to check it out. Pretty much the same kind of groceries you’ll find at a nice Brsitol Farms(like the one in Santa Monica) and a Whole Foods combined.(Packaged food wise). They also have a beautiful fresh meat section with helpful butchers, an incredible hot food bar/carved meat/pizza service line, a few very pretty desserts, and even hand dipped Beachy Cream ice creams. There is also a coffeehouse(Groundworks) and tables outside to enjoy it all with. Prices are pretty steep,(some laughably so– like $ 9– lettuce and $ 12– for about 6 oz of almonds) but there are lots of good things that are reasonable– and the selection of finer fare, wines, and cheese make a little side trip to Malibu and a picnic on the beach more, well, fancy and kinda decadent.(Know what I mean?) I loved my $ 5 chocolate bar. ;) TIPS: Plenty of parking! If you want to go back South, go around the back of the building and out the side by the gas station and to the light-you’ll avoid the big U-Turn line out front. They do have awesomely clean restrooms-which are few and far between on that area of the PCH.

Ok, I get it. It’s Malibu, so add a couple dollars to everything why don’t you. Fine. Expensive marshmallows and flour tortillas I can handle. Giving us the stink eye and the stare down. Super uncalled for. Like we don’t belong or something? We came in from camping because we ran out of a few things so we weren’t dressed in our Sunday best. We got major stare downs and stink eyes. Seriously, like WTF?! Get with your customer service and teach your employees that anyone can shop there, not just hoity-toities.
