Wow never had such rude customer service from the older lady who probably is the owner? Which makes it worse. She refused to give me a bag as she didn’t order enough bags for the holidays. I was buying a gift and she said it wasn’t worth it. Unbelievable she just lost a customer for life and the reputation of the Malibu snottiness. Bad bad customer service. Even the other sales lady apologized on the way out for her bosses bad behavior!

Terrible customer service. Returned over $ 500 worth of merchandise and never received a refund from them. Tina Nicholls the co-​owner simply refused to cooperate and hugh Kinsellagh the owner is rarely ever present. Didn’t even bother with them. Won’t ever go back. Only a matter of time before they close down and go away for good. She sells junk at prices necessary to make a living. The manager robyn has an attitude and doesn’t greet you when you enter. Apparently she’s miserable working 6 days a week for $ 15 an hour. They will only like you if you’re a white woman with a facelift, and a Chanel handbag with flip flops and a $ 200 Tshirt from Madison. Typical Malibu. Go to Neiman Marcus, same stuff and more selection and better service!

I wish there was an option for «no stars». While this store may have beautiful things, I have NEVER once been greeted, or said «hello» or «welcome» to. I have popped in about 6 times in the last 2 years– there is zero service. Decided there is no reason to ever go back. U can find everything in there somewhere else

This store has been one of my must visit shops for holiday shopping for decades. They have an excellent assortment of home gifts, candles, soaps, jewelry, bedding, cards, you name. You can definitely find something special here for the person on your list that already has everything… You know who I’m talking about. They want something, they buy it. But do they have a gorgeous letter opener? Or a luxurious set of match boxes? They will after you visit this store!
Oh, and be sure to ask them to gift wrap it for you! They wrap things so beautifully!

I absolutely LOVE this place! Its been a Malibu Country Mart staple for as long as I can remember, and I shop here often for unique gifts, books, jewelry, etc.
A *high* recommend for Christmas shopping — a lot of the things here you just cant seem to find anywhere else!
Tina and the staff here are attentive and professional — and always willing to help out with suggestions for any budget

This is by far my favorite spot to go gift hunting in Malibu. The merchandise is always fresh and fantastic.
It’s the perfect place to get a gift for that friend of yours that has EVERYTHING. I always find that they have that cool new coffee table book or yummy candle that you just can’t live without. While there are many great gift/​home stores in LA, this place takes it to the next level.
