The Australian Stock Saddle

I love my saddle. It fits my horses and me perfectly, much safer seat on the trail and keeps me in close contact. Overall, saddle is an excellent quality from fit, leather and sheepskin. I prefer this saddle over my other western saddles both in comfort and quality. Staff was all helpful and nice. I lost a small leather pad and they sent me another with no problems.

I had a custom made saddle from Colin about 15 years ago that was great for endurance and lasted beautifully. I now have a different horse and will be contacting him today for another custom fit saddle. Great quality and service!

Ordered an over girth for my Australian saddle that didn’t come with one. I placed the order on 5/​7, received an invoice from their online store and then waited. I then sent them a message on the ⁵⁄₁₂ and received no response, so sent another one on ⁵⁄₁₃ to another e-​mail they have and finally was told that my order was being processed still and would be shipped.
I just received my over girth today and it has horse hair stuck in the holes on the billet side and marks like it had been on a saddle. This is supposed to be a NEW item.
The piece cost $ 35 in the store, plus tax, but they charge you a minimum $ 15 shipping for any item. For that price I would have gone to ebay and bought one there and received it last week for $ 10 less.
I’m so not impressed and I’ll be shopping elsewhere for any items I need from now on.
Response to notifying them of the issue:
Christine, if you live «just over the hill» please drop by and I will exchange the offending surcingle.
$ 15 is our minimum charge, as it is everybody’s minimum, as far as I can see. Does not matter where you are.
Labels have to be typed.
Stuff put in box.
And UPS charges.
AT $ 15, we actually lose money. But that is OK.
Come on by and I will GIVE you something to make you feel better.
And I do need to see the USED surcingle.
I have never known one to be shipped NEW that was actually USED.
So you can be sure I will be doing a thorough investigation, myself personally!!!
