Joel was an awesome surf instructor. I was in CA on vacation and Joel came highly recommended. My kids ages 14 and 12 and myself (age 43) were all excited to learn to surf. Joel was professional from the beginning. I communicated with him via e-​mail to discuss a possible surfing lesson and he answered all e-​mails in a timely fashion. He was flexible and pleasant to deal with even though we were late for our lesson. He cheered us on and made us feel confident and also made us laugh during our lesson. He was organized in his approach and was careful to choose a safe, appropriate location for us to learn. I really liked that Joel is a seasoned professional who has been surfing for many years. I highly recommend Joel and am grateful he was recommended to me.

My son, his friend and myself had a fantastic time. Joel and his son are a great team. All 3 of us stood up on our first couple attempts and road several waves all the way to the shore. The 2 boys will never forget this experience. Thank you Joel.
