Excellent customer service and a very wide variety at the Malibu location of John Varvatos. The store features trendy men’s clothing and their sale rack is always great.
The ambiance is sort of an upscale Neptune’s Net. :-) There’s motorcycle and electric guitar décor combines with awesome original photos of rock artists from Dylan, Clapton to McCartney.
There’s comfortable chairs to wait in while a buddy shops. The merchandise is from upscale casual to suits and everything in between. This is a very worthwhile stop when visiting the Malibu Lumberyard.

As I said to the great folks who work in this store, shopping there is worth the price of a trip to Los Angeles… oh… sorry… Malibu!
Everyone was very helpful and engaging without being overt in the selling. More important, the sales team listened to what was desired, put one and one together, and came through literally and figuratively with a perfect fit… big time.
The transaction was handled expertly and created in a way to make me a very happy customer.
I have a few very beautiful pieces from JV but I will be honest and say the line is not normally in my personal «go to» category. After this store experience, that has changed and depending on what I’m after, JV is now in the short list.
