I’ve been coming here for almost 3 years now and I’m still pleased with the friendly staff, quick service and affordability. After getting to know me and my likes/​dislikes, they really go out of their way to make sure I have a great experience every time. Rose pays close attention to detail and is excellent.

This place keeps pissing me off. It’s so up n down with them and THIS was my go to place even when I now live in Boston.
The «manager». Why is SHE the ONLY ONE that can do acrylic and eyebrows and yet she’s NEVER always there!!!
Everyone else can either do basic mani n pedi and they suck at doing shellac n manis. But if you want anything more than the basics, the top dog is the one you go to. Wouldn’t you think she’d be there EVERYDAY and put a sign for the days that NOONE can get the extra services?
Walked in and saw ONE girl. And she only does pedi and basic manicure. I’m like are you kidding me!
Tired of that. So done. Moving unto the next…
Should’ve left the day the «manager» cut my finger while doin my acrylic weeks ago and she told me to «shush» when I Unilocaled out loud instead of saying sorry like she’s SUPPOSE to.
Done done done.
My TIP is to either FIND SOMEPLACE ELSE or learn the managers name and call and ask specifically for HER and make sure she’s in and schedule a time to come in and take no nonsense when you walk in on time and she’s telling you to wait. None.
Pro: no one is rude or disrespectful.
Cons: bubbles in nails almost EVERYTIME. no one to do eyebrows, no one to do acrylic, no one to do the paw shaped nails… no one except that ONE MANAGER!

The service was excellent and the technicians were very pleasant and thorough (i think her name is Lee). I’m very satisfied. I work in Back Bay so i used to go to a salon on Newbury St but the price was too high for the service so-​so. At Malden Nails i paid $ 30 for a 5 stars mani/​pedi! I went there today because is close to my house so i decided to give a try.. I’m so pleased with the service that i decided to open an account here on Unilocal so i can share how wonderful and affordable they are!

I’ve been to this place twice– the first time just for an eyebrow waxing. I would have gotten my nails done as well, but there were just too many people waiting. When I walked in, I was greeted very nicely– even offered water and candy, wow! There are not very many stations, but in my opinion, it gives the place a more cozy feeling. That and the bright color scheme. I knew I’d make it back eventually. On my second visit, which was on a Sunday morning as soon as they opened, I decided to get a mani-​pedi, along with an eyebrow wax. The service was excellent and the technicians were very pleasant and thorough. I was very satisfied. The only thing that kept me from giving this place 5 stars was the yucky nail bubbles that were mentioned in a previous review. Albeit, I’ll still be returning– even if only to take advantage of the program where you get a free service after 10 service. I’m not big into all this girlie stuff, but I’ll admit Malden Nails has got me…

I do have to knock this place down a notch after a few more visits. I raved about Cee Cee (still don’t know how to spell it) the first time around, and it’s true that she does a really good pedicure. Unfortunately, her technique on manicures is flawed — the shaping is good but I always get those ugly air bubbles all over the place with her. It’s cheap, so it’s worth it if you really need a fix, but I wouldn’t get manicures here regularly.
It really all depends on the technician too. I had a pedicure with someone else here and it wasn’t terrible, but somewhat sloppy. I have to say, the airbrush technician is constantly busy and her work looks great to me, not that I know a darn thing about airbrushing!
