This venue could have been great, we saw a wonderful concert tonight with vinyl groove and Evelyn champagne king. The venue lacked bartenders waitresses etc the line was ridiculously long they didn’t take credit cards they need to update their way of doing things!

This place sucks lately. because you never know if they are open or not. One night they are open, the next — the lights are off and nobody is home. FOURTIMES my guests and I have arrived to the door locked and no note on the door.

One of the best Karaōke shows on Friday Nights with good singers. Drinks and service is great. I think it starts at 9pm and admission is free.

My father’s Bereavement luncheon was held here recently. We were given a generous buffet of three hot items that included a large mixed salad, an assorted fruit tray, rolls, danish with plenty of condiments, cold beverages and coffee and tea. The room was set on the ground floor to accommodate our handicap access. The table, linens, dishes and utensils were immaculate. And our waitress was very friendly and professional; she handled our every need in our time of sorrow. My future daughter-in-law was very impressed and is considering Anthony’s as a wedding venue.

Honestly although this place isn’t glamorous, I’ve dreamed of having my wedding held here. This is only because, fact is that about 96% of every family function; death, christening, wedding, showers, etc is held. at Anthonys. They have the upstairs function area which is nice but the sound may carry since it’s not exactly closed in but they have a big stage and bar up there. The rooms they have can be gigantic or small depending on what you have and how you book it. I personally like it here a lot, parking lot is big and I’ve seen them do out door shindigs as well although I’ve never personally attended them I’ve seen tents set up and such.

You know you’re from Malden if you can think of at least 1 award you won at a function held at Anthony’s. All of my great athletic awards were awarded at Anthony’s. The fact my athletic abilities peaked at the age of 11 is beside the point. This is a decent option if you’ve got a big crowd. The staff really handles any group pretty well. I’ve been here over 20 times in the last 10 years alone for various celebrations, fundraisers and other we-need-a-big-ass-room functions.

Function rooms only — As we walked up to this building that clearly was at it’s peak circa 1972, passing a nearly life sized Santa who looked something like a blow up doll in reverse drag whose paint was rubbing off, had lost his reins, and was presumably yelling something at the 3 scabrous reindeer in front of his broken down sleigh surrounded by circa 1967 christmas decorations, I thought.. .please let this function have an open bar.. . But on the inside in the room we were shooed into, it wasn’t all that bad. The exterior tack belies a somewhat more updated interior. The room I was in was tastefully decorated and chairs were comfortable. The food in the buffet line(ricotta stuff shells, ziti with chicken and brocolli, beef in red wine sauce, roasted potatoes, rolls salad) was.. . fine. I’ve had much worse from a buffet.. And the coffee was actually quite good — served with pretty decent pastry. The full bar carried middle to low end stuff. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient. Seems like it would be a fine place to have a party for a reasonable rate if you need to accomodate large groups in a comfortable space — and judging from the number of parties that traipsed in and out and lingered about just while I was there? It definitely fills a need in town.

Everyone in the area has been to Anthony’s at one time or another. It’s the place to have that party when you don’t want to clean your house. The decorations are mediocre. The food is bland. I guess it’s a typical function hall, no more, no less.

This is a Restaurant and Function Halls. This can cater to any amount of people from Weddings, Fund Raisers to Family Funeral Luncheons. The Spadafora family are the owners and operators and have been in business for decades. The food is scrumptious and the staff have been with them just as long. Albert or Mary will help you with all your details.:-}
