We went to The Crawfish Joint about a month ago and had crawfish, gator bites and étouffée and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! We have been looking forward to going back and did yesterday. The crawfish was gross and tasted like it was cooked days ago and then reheated. Had it been our first time there, we wouldn’t go back. However, because of the awesome food the first time and the great atmosphere and friendly waiters /waitresses, we will give it another try.

The joint has excellent crawfish. Seasoned very good and not too hot. Great family atmosphere.

Went on a Friday evening early around 5 and luckily we went at that time because as we were leaving they were pretty much on a wait with people waiting outside. We had crawfish and there wasn’t much for the kiddos to choose from but corn dogs and chicken tenders. Only recommendation on that would be maybe to offer burgers or pizza as well for kids. The waitress we had was fast and attentive and the crawfish was excellent. The beer selection was also nice which is nice and not very common around here anymore since Texas beer garden closed its doors. We will be coming back to the joint soon.

To start, I must say that they have my favorite crawfish. My husband and I try to go at least once a week! We like to go right when they open because if you catch them on a busy night, the service will most likely be sub par. They have no waiting service and seriously lack a good training system. If you go on a Friday or Saturday night, there will be no parking in the parking lot. I think once they move locations and implement more organization and training, this place will thrive! With all that being said, some of the staff are lovely and do a great job. Also, the crawfish is just so good! It’s hit or miss with the service and crowds, so go at a less busy time and you will be thoroughly pleased. :)

Awesome crawfish!!! Great service also! Really busy but I had to wait only 10 minutes and cookies came out steaming and flavor was great. Nice and spicy just like crawfish is supposed to be! They were huge also have them I can even eat the claws. Will be my favorite place for crawfish now

If this is the best I’d hate to see the worst! They are ok at best. Frozen so you get more claws than anything. It’s my son’s birthday and we’ve been waiting on shrimp for 30 minutes! Our waitress keeps forgetting everything we order. It’s a mess!

We did wait 15 – 20 minutes to be seated but that was expected since it was a holiday weekend and a Saturday night. Our waitress was Savannah she was awesome ! We had the fried pickles, gator bites, crawfish with potatoes and corn everything tasted great! I tried our friends boiled shrimp they were tasty also !!! I love this place have been here twice and will keep coming back !!!

Was looking for crawfish away from notable Woodlands restaurants. Found this place on FM1488 — great atmosphere, family friendly, and although busy didn’t seem jammed or uncomfortable. Menu was ample with choices. Decided to share the couple deal — 3 lbs crawfish, 1 lb of boiled shrimp, crab legs, sausage corn and potatoes. Waitress was very nice and helpful as it was our 1st time there. Food was served hot, not too spicy, and great for 2 folks. Will be going back!

Snail’s pace service every time we go. But the food is very good. I’m guessing these people have never owned a restaurant before. You would have one huge winning combination if you worked on your service levels.

I have currently been here for 30 min without a drink and I have lost my buzz which is a major No No. For God’s sake that is the kiss of death on a Friday night… FYI– I never leave a bad review unless sh*t is just the pits of hell… & this service is!!! The crawfish was so mushy I couldn’t even begin to eat it. Disgusting!!!

I would have given this place 5 stars for just its crawfish(which lets be honest, is why you come here) but I didn’t because the service was below subpar. Our waitress was very sweet but it was obvious she is pretty new at this. Step up the service so I don’t have to wait 10 minutes for a beer and I see a lot of potential in this place!

I am a call it as I see it person. My wife and I have eaten here several times and so far it has all been excellent. We have had the fried & boiled shrimp, crawfish étouffée, fried catfish, and various appetizers. When the fried and boiled craving hits this is where I am going or getting it to go.

Came in for dinner with a fairly large group about 10 and the restaurant was nearly empty. It took 1 hour and 20 minutes for them to bring anything out! We were all starving. No bread, fries or even salads we ordered got brought out ahead of time. Food was mediocre, fries were cold and crab was too salty oh and guess what no crawfish!!! Luckily we were just in the area visiting so we won’t be returning again. Waitress did seem apologetic for the long wait but they need to get their act together. No one should have to wait that long to eat especially when it was an empty restaurant!

Good place for the locals that live in that side of town. Slow service, but the waitress was nice and apologized for the slow service. The crawfish were ok, nothing spectacular, but I will say they were cooked perfectly and not overcooked. The boudain was good, that’s all I had on their menu that evening, can’t vouch for the other items. I wouldn’t return here unless I was in the area.

It is hard to find good Crawfish place around here. I like the meat to be spicy, not all the spices on the shell and this place knows how to do it right! Some of the crawfish was really dirty though and the second batch we ordered was not cooked long enough. The price is great and the fried gator is also really good. The pickles are a bit greasy toward the bottom of the basket, but I have found that to be the case most places– they are fried after all. Service is a little slow, so don’t be in a hurry especially on the weekends.

The service was good. But the crawfish was sub-par. They were dirty. They were bland. I just wouldn’t be back for the crawfish!

Well the free beer deal expired because they got their liquor license but that shouldn’t stop you from crushing some crawfish. They don’t use(or I don’t taste) liquid boil like tailgators so that’s a plus for me. I don’t like the synthetic taste of liquid boil. Crab boil and cayenne is all I use. We ordered 5 pounds of crawfish and that comes with 5 corn and 5 large potatoes. Sausage is 50 cents extra per piece. So for about 32 bucks three of us had a feast. 5 pounds at other places(crabby daddy) wouldn’t measure up. They were mostly large with a sprinkling of medium size crawfish. The corn could have been spicier as could the potatoes. Other than that it was perfect. They have two hand washing stations outside of the restrooms for cleaning up after the carnage. Unique. Me likey. It hasn’t been super busy anytime we have been there but as prices come down and word gets out I’m sure it will get more crowded. We will be back.

Good stuff! Crawfish cooked to perfection — not terribly spicy. The combo for two was a great sample of crawfish, shrimp and crab. Great tasting sweet tea selection(peach, raspberry, reg, unsweet). The fried pickles were way disappointing though… greasy to the point of sogginess and served with a side of freshly squeezed ranch from a bottle(that’s OK — I’m coming again for the crawfish). No frills rustic décor… they managed to squeeze a nice layout in here. There’s a big washtub sink in the back to wash your hands when you’re done — nice touch. Service is OK… seems other servers have it figured out. time will iron out the wrinkles here.

Try this again… Came to try this… cause everyone on Facebook has been talking about it!!! Yummy! We ordered: Jalp crab poppers and a boudin link to start. Both was yummy! Jalp’s was had a bite… but not hot. Boudin was full of flavor! We finished with 4lbs of crawfish. They came out looking oily… was concerned… BUTOMG! They was so good! Very full of flavor! Didn’t even have to put seasoning on them! My only complaint is they wasn’t boiling hot. But considering how flavorful they was… I can totally look past that… and still give the full 5 stars Our waitress(long dark hair) was sweet as can be too! Told us about the all you can eat Crawfish for $ 35 on Monday and Tuesday… and towards the end of the month… will be $ 29! WOOT! Get Ya some!
