Eff my life I LOVE Helen’s. 1. The number 13 is amazing. Get«the works»! 2. It’s SO cheap! $ 5 for a sandwich/drink/chips! If you split a foot long with someone it turns even cheaper! 3. They’re all the nicest people, and funny too! They have indoor seating or if you’re in a rush call ahead and get your order even faster! They have a small lot in front, with lots of other street parking if that’s full. They have daily specials! Overall awesome place. I never get tired of Helen’s subs like I do other sandwich places.

Favorite sub shop in Seattle. Hidden next to the Fisherman’s Terminal, but worth the trip.

Mmmm sammiches! Helen’s is a nice little convenient sandwich spot close to work. I’m quite sure the only people that ever go there work or maybe MAYBE live in the area. Lots of men that do labor and a fair amount of military folk can be found here. What do I go there for? Their Garden Sub… minus the cheese, mushrooms, guacamole, sometimes olives, and usually all of the sauces(oils, mayo, etc). A half sub usually leaves me satisfied and full. I’ve also apparently ordered that sub in that way that they now know what my order will be. Perfect! The price for a half garden sub is about $ 4.04. Other co-workers have also enjoyed their soup, but that soup is usually meaty and I usually try to keep a mostly vegetarian(and sometimes lean towards vegan) diet, so… no go. fyi: I dislike avocados so I always have them excluded or on the side. A co-worker told me she once tried their guacamole, and was sad to find it was brown and gooey. Threw away her sandwich. So, beware of the guac! Perhaps leave it off just to be safe.

This place never disappoints and it’s been there for a while, serving up super-sandwiches on nice, fresh bread and with fresh veggies and sliced meats. Nothing too fancy, just ample portions, great soups, great price and convenient when you’re in the Magnolia marina area. On our last visit, we had 2 full sized sandwiches which probably equal about 16 inches each! One hot pastrami and one #1 — ham, pepperoni and salami. Pastrami was shaved thin and came with melted provolone on top, perfectly toasty, with all the fixins. YUM! Also got a bag of chips, 2 sides of potato salad and a drink to split, all for $ 15!!! Can’t beat that with a baseball bat! Daily specials, daily soups, chili and some of the nicest service in the Emerald City. You might have to Google it to find it, but it’s a great go-to spot when cruising Discovery Park or Magnolia.

Hand’s down — my favorite sub shop! Their sub sandwiches are on really fresh hoagies and all of their toppings are delicious and fresh. They definitely use much better quality ingredients in their sandwiches than any of the chain sub shops. There is really no comparison between a place like Helen’s and Subway or Quiznos. I wish more people knew about her sub shop, but she’s busy every time I go there. And after only a few visits there, she remembered me, what sub I order and what all I like on it. I love this place! And very affordable for all that you get!

I got the pastrami. It was basic, good, and fresh. The portions are big, and they seem to know what they are doing. It’s a mom and pop place, and the inside isn’t so large. It’s a bit more expensive that Subway, but they use a lot of meat and cheese in their subs. I’ll go back again. It’s the only sandwich shop I know of in the area, so I am sure they do good business. It’s a little out of the way, so you kinda have to know where it is to get to it. I just happened to see it by accident after living in Magnolia for over two years.

Me likes. This used to be a «Sub Shop» franchise but I think it has bettered itself since it moved private. This place always knows my order when I walk in the door, and while they sometimes are a bit delayed with the production of the sandwich they always help me out when they know I am in a hurry. If you’re by Fisherman’s Terminal and would like a 12 inch sandwich under $ 11 stop by Helen’s.
