Double P Bakery

My family enjoys Double P so much. My favorite cupcake is the carrot cake, my daughter’s favorite is the turtle and my husband’s favorite is the Oreo. I also ordered a cookie cake for a party and it was so delicious! Doesn’t even compare to the ones from the mall. The girls that work there are very sweet and helpful.
This is the best bakery around!

Place isn’t bad and people were nice

Used a LivingSocial coupon & got 7 cupcakes for the $ 20 value ($ 2.85 ea. w/tax…yikes). Glad i didn’t pay full price or I’d be even more disappointed. I’d understand the high price if they were really good but I was not a fan & neither was my son & a few ppl @ work that I shared with. The cupcakes were dense, not very moist and didn’t have a very good flavor. Maybe others like that dense type of cake but I don’t so I can make a good store bought cake (add ¼ cup of extra oil for supreme moistness) & save a fortune as well… lol!

Great bakery! Love the apple cinnamon and Italian crème cupcakes, and the staff iss great as well! Go check this place out if you’re in Magnolia!

while the taste was okay, the price is WAY OUT OF LINE!!! I was sent to pick up an order for a small party, 2 dozen cookies, 3 dozen EXTRA SMALL cup cakes quarter size with a simple small shot of frosting on top), and 2 dozen cake pops. I told the person I’d pick them, no big deal I will buy it! thinking okay $ 12.00 per dozen would be expensive, but I would be willing to do that to help out with the event… when they handed me one small plate of cookies, a small box with the cake pops and the 2 boxes of cupcakes I was caught off guard by the little amount of stuff, thinking, okay good! maybe it will be less then the $ 84.00 I was thinking! then she took a minute averaging the price of the cookies, and told me, it comes to $ 171.00 for these 4 small boxes… having already committed to picking them up and paying for them I could not turn back, I gasped for air, and asked the cashier if that was actually correct… she assured me it was and handed me a one line receipt, before I left I asked for a detailed receipt… that night I woke up in my sleep at 3 a.m. worrying about the fact that I paid $ 171.00 for what? when Monday rolled around I still kept thinking about it over and over again, so Tuesday I called the manager, and asked her to double check that there was not a miscalculation in the «averaging in the price of the cookies…
Patrice the manager, assured me that the cupcakes were only $ 23.00 each… which by the way, our party was 3 miles down the road, and granted its Houston and its hot, the simple swirl of frosting on top of each of the cupcakes had slid off, making a messy presentation for these quarter sized cupcakes.
the cake pops were $ 1.75 each, okay expensive but okay,
then she told me that they averaged the price of the cookies since there were 3 different sizes of cookies, and that it would have come out to $ 2.50 that I was charged, and she said «the cookies were ONLY $ 60.00» for 2 dozen small sugar cookies… I quickly stopped her and said, please don’t say ONLY, that’s a full days pay for me! and I’ve never paid $ 60.00 for 2 dozen cookies in my life!
over all I warn people only buy from here if you have more money then sense!!!
I realize there are wealthy people that waste money, but I will never agree this small order was worth more then 2 working days of my life! and then for her to emphasize that it was only $ 64.95 for some cookies, I dare you to compare what you have to do to make $ 64.95 after taxes and compare that to 24 cookies… and tell me its worth it… and then compare $ 74.69 earned to 3 dozen quarter size muffins, with a single color shot of icing on them…
you will agree, not worth the price!!!

The bakery is nice and food was ok. I have family that’s diabetic and asked if they have sugar free or no sugar added was told no and doesn’t what customer like that. So went down the road and they treat everyone the same.

Great bakery!!! Went thier for the first time and had a 50 gift certificate. We ordered pretty much 1 of everything. Every single thing was great. The service at this place was great… very friendly and welcoming. If you havent been there you must go! The cheesecake cupcake is sinful!!! My family and I will definetly be frequenting this place!

I live this bakery and everything about it. They make amazing deserts. Their custom cookies are just amazing. Flavor and design all wrapped in outstanding customer service and care. I can’t see myself going anywhere else but Double P when I’m in Houston. I can’t wait to see these ladies on Cupcake Wars or Sweat Genius — They are that good!

Over the last year or so, every time I have driven to Magnolia, I wondered about Double P. There are so many cupcake shops opening up around Montgomery County, that it’s hard to find a standout. The opportunity to see what Double P has to offer finally presented itself recently for my sorority’s founding day celebration. It was a last minute addition to include the special cupcakes with the owls for our sisterhood to enjoy. I am so thrilled that we did and that Double P could make it happen on such short notice!
5 stars — Customer Service–
Double P did a superb job accommodating all of my requests with a very quick turn around time. This says a lot about their work ethic and willingness to put customers first especially, considering there was a very busy upcoming holiday weekend. I also greatly appreciated that your staff offered to assist me in getting the cupcakes safely to the car. That little bit of extra effort and friendly service goes a long way in my book!!!
4 Stars for accommodating custom request and presentation
The cupcakes were beautifully custom designed. I even gave them an additional special cupcake to design for one of our ladies who was celebrating her birthday. It turned out adorable too. Something very important to note is how the product is packaged for transport. Double P’s special boxes allow them to package their cupcakes much better than some of their competitors. Mine didn’t tip and the icing didn’t tumble. We all know how nerve wracking it can be to arrive to your event without any desert disasters!!!
4.75 Stars quality, taste, and execution —
Not only were the red velvet cupcakes moist and delicious, but the custom toppers were adorable too. They were such a hit with all the ladies. Everyone kept asking me where they were made. Your ears must have been burning with the amount of times I said Double P in Magnolia. Believe me, this is quite the honor considering many of these women are very capable in the kitchen themselves.
As we all know by now, with the proliferation of cupcake places across Montgomery County, not all cupcakes and bakeries are created equal. Often times the rush to push out too much product, leaves the quality and taste lacking, and the customers unhappy. You couple this with cupcakes being a somewhat pricey treat with lack of customer service and it’s a losing combination.
Double P however, excels in every way! You are a standout in Montgomery County Texas! I am extremely pleased with the attention to detail on the product, the execution and flavor, the careful presentation, and the swiftly responsive customer service. This is a winning combo and I will definitely be spreading the word.
