After 6 months, we have this location another try. Sorry to say, it has gotten even worse. We paid for our order then waited over 45 minutes for take out. I checked 30 minutes in and they were«working on the order, now». 15 minutes later, I told them I wanted my food or my money back and ! Miracles of miracles! My food was now ready and on the way to the counter. It should bot take a hissy fit to get fed when you’ve already paid.

Cracker Barrel is always okay when travelling and offers an extensive menu but nothing really worth going out of the way for. Recently we tried the country dinners. I had the lemon pepper trout which was really tasty but a little small. The grits are good, but the fried okra was unfortunately served cold. My companion tried the chicken and dumplings which was pretty much just dumplings in gravy with just a few bits of chicken. The biscuits were disappointing at this visit also, which is usually something this country store does well.

The one star is for the waitress, she was the only plus to this Cracker Barrel experience! We waited a long time to get our food. Understandable if they were busy but they were not. I got pork chops. Normally they are very good at Cracker Barrel Restaurants but not this time. Very dry! My husband got a baked sweet potato. After two bites he quit eating it. It was so cold that the whipped butter on it never melted the entire meal.

Again good food, good service. The waitress can be a hit or a miss. I had several great ones and a few not so good. Just over all a good spot for breakfast food. I have yet to order anything but breakfast

This place only has one word to describe it: disastrous. We had a party of 9 and had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated(which was understandable at first) then when we were seated and ready to order. After we ordered we had to wait nearly 2 hours to get portions of the food we ordered. The eggs were portioned small, cold and the bacon was burnt. Some members of my party did not get what they ordered but instead received random sides of food that no one in the table had even mentioned. The worst part of all was that we had to wait another hour because two of the nine plates never got to our table. We were always missing pieces of food and the waitresses were rude and acting annoyed because we were claiming that the order was wrong. OHAND I ALMOSTFORGOT! We were seated by the kitchen door and we could actually hear the waitresses screaming at each other and blaming each other for messing up the order. It was a complete catastrophe and the individuals seated around us began to complain as well. The service here left me astonished. When we asked to speak to the manager at the end he completely brushed us off and cut us off mid sentence to say«okay have a nice day. Goodbye.» SUPERDISRESPECTFUL. Never coming back to this Cracker Barrel again. Ever.

Absolutely terrible service. Not only is it understaffed but the staff they do have SUCKS. I was literally still chewing my food & the server just took my plate away… with food still on it! I gave her a weird look &THEN she asked«were you finished?» Seriously? No I was not done eating but I wasn’t going to ask for MY food back that I paid for after she put the plate on the tray… absolutely ridiculous. & to top it off, there was a lady puking in the bathroom. Never coming back.

I ate at this Cracker Barrel today and I had a positive experience. We were shown to our table quickly, the friendly server was quick to take our orders, and the food didn’t take long to get there. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich because I remember having them from my childhood, along with onion rings, vegetable soup and hush puppies. All of the food tasted delicious and was cooked to the proper temperature. The server was attentive and friendly. Everything seemed on point here.

I’ve been to hundreds, yes hundreds, of Cracker Barrel restaurants all over the country on my many roads trips throughout my life. This one was the by far the WORST I’ve ever experienced. We waited 25 minutes for a table and once we were taken back, we saw how dead it was yet we were taken to a dirty table that we had to wait on to be cleaned. It made no sense to us since all of the other tables were clean, ready to go. I can’t even call the food poor quality… it was worse than that. Our waiter was very awkward, handing one member of our family all of the drinks and later all of the food to pass around to people so he didn’t have to. While waiting on refills for a long time, a member of my family headed to the bathroom, where he found our waiter cleaning the toilets in his apron. I was already disgusted by the mashed potatoes, burnt to a crisp ham and greasy meatloaf, but that just made it worse. Never again, Georgia. Never again. Save yourself the disappointment and find another Cracker Barrel — I’m sure there’s one not much further on your drive.

First experience at a Cracker Barrel, having seen them everywhere & having one right out front of our hotel & being too tired from travelling all day to hunt down anything else, we thought we’d give it a go. Can I just say this, I don’t mean to insult anyone who likes this kind of thing as judging by the amount of people inside the Restuarant, there’s no shortage of these kind of people… but for us, it was an extremely below average experience. The food served up here is, stodgy, overlooked, tasteless mush! It looked as bad as it tasted, chicken & dumplings, grits & cheese, brutally overlooked vegetables, uncooked biscuits, tasteless gravy… and they forgot to put the ham on my husbands sampler platter! We only realised this when we were walking back to the hotel. Really it wasn’t a good experience & it’s safe to safe we will never do it again! Staff were sweet though :-)

This is one of the best breakfasts in Macon. I asked for two eggs over medium with very crispy bacon. This is a super simple request, yet Waffle House and IHOP, two restaurants that specialize in breakfast, can’t ever get this right. The eggs and bacon were hot and fresh and not swimming in grease. Best of all, the bacon was very crispy but not burned. And the pieces of bacon were nice big pieces like you’d expect, not stringy pieces of fat. I hadn’t been to a Cracker Barrell in years, and I was very happy and delightfully surprised.

My wife loves Cracker Barrel but it’s just ok to me. I always get the catfish. The food here was typical of cracker barrels and was ok. It was the service that loses the stars on this review. The staff was friendly enough but this was the longest wait at the table post food order that I have ever had. On top of that the waitress forgot to put my kids order in til after the adults food showed up.

The food was normal as always but the waiter made two mistakes with my order. Also the coffee wasn’t good at all. Not the best crackle barrel I have been to.

Another great visit to cracker barrel while on the road. This one amazed us with their great service, delicious food, and the speed that our order came up.

Great food, great atmosphere, great service. We went in for a late lunch and were seated immediately. Our server had a trainee with her and both were excellent. They attended to our needs well and always made sure that everything was great. I ordered the chicken livers. I love liver in all forms and I had never had it breaded before. I was delighted to try something new! While a little oily, I have to say that the livers were delicious. The fired okra was, surprisingly, not oily at all. I would definitely come back here again if I drive from Atlanta, GA to Sarasota, FL again.

Vegetarians have substantial choices now that the Veggie Skillet is available.(Okay, this applies to lacto-ovo vegetarians, but that’s me, but you know what, folks? I’m happy.) The parking lot was packed, but there was only a 10-minute wait, and our service was downright speedy considering that every table was either full or being wiped down — and this is on a coming-home-from-Christmas evening!
