This place has good food and a nice atmosphere. There are not too many dumpy bars that have a fire place. They have four poker machines for amusement only and one pool table. The beer was reasonable priced and the crowd normal for brookfield standards.

This place is a block north of 47th street on Joliet road. For bar food this place can’t be beat. They only serve lunch, but you won’t be hungry for the rest of the day. Some of their daily special are. Steak and potatos, stuffed pork chops, lasagna, chicken breast with roasted potatos and brocoli w/​cheese, sausage and peppers, spagetti and baseball size meatballs, sliced turkey and dressing. I don’t think that I’ve seen anything over 8 bucks. The cheese burgers are the best around and they are part of the regular menu. If you are in the area, this is the place to go. One of my regulars.
