Fabulous ambience inside and out. Came for a nice birthday lunch. Ordered El Pollo En mole de tamarindo homemade corn tortillas and agua de pepino y lima. Delicious! Service is great too. Prices are great for the uniquely gourmet Mexican food they serve. Big and roomy inside for larger parties as well. Ps) Agua fresca is free refill. After lunch e decided to order another, sit at bar and order a shot of vodka.

Not impressed. The drinks were bad, my family and I ordered margaritas and mine was plain nasty. It’s as if they just poured some cheap tequila over water and blended it like crazy. I didn’t drink it. All the ingredients are frozen, yuck! No wonder the restaurant was not full. The food was ok but nothing amazing, I expected better, sooo not worth it!

THEFOOD: The food is delicious, very authentic taste, good presentation, no complaints. THEPLACE: I went with my husband on a Saturday night, and there was Mariachi. Super loud, couldn’t even hear what the server was saying nor couldn’t hear my husband who was just next to me. I love mariachi so much though, but that wasn’t the problem. The problem was they use a microphone that can be heard super far, it was a bit uncomfortable. The place was neat, nice, authentic Mexican«hacienda» looking style. Good location. Plaza Mexico! THESERVICE: The service was AWFUL — just awful. We got there at 9:45 pm, «their peak hour» according to a server that was walking around. The servers just pass by you looking at you in the eye, and completely ignore you. Like? Hello? I’ve been here for 20 mins. If it wasn’t because I’m pregnant and I was craving that place, I would’ve left. After we got our chips and salsa, magically, this server came by and asked us for our drinks, and politely asked if we were ready to order. This server’s name is Elder. He’s the only reason I’m giving this place 2 more stars, cause if it wasn’t for him, I would rate this 1. He was the only person who made my visit pleasant. He came by every 5 minutes asking us if everything was good, or if we needed something. His service was exceptional, very good. He always smiled and that’s always a big plus.

We came to celebrate my sister’s graduation here on a Sunday but we didn’t know they served brunch, and half of our party wasn’t there yet when we got there so we had to wait an hour till 2:30 to order from menu since brunch was close to being done, Service was excellent, food was mostly good, although steak seem to be low quality and had old appeareance. The mariachi was good although we thought they will play longer since it was lunch hours.

First of all this was suppose to be my birthday dinner with family and what a disappointment. We came from Orange County and there seemed to be a lot of parking available which was a thumbs up. The inside of the restaurant is where my 1 star comes from, it’s super nice inside and very authentic Mexican décor. We were seated next to a nice fountain and immediately they delivered chips with good salsa. The disappointment was that our server never came to greet us or get a drink order, we were seated for over 25 minutes and the table next to us that had just been seated was immediately approached by one of the servers. We got up from our chairs and decided to leave because apparently there is no communication with the staff.

Service was great, never had to ask the server for chips and salsa bowls were kept full. My server was Jose he was great he catered to everyone’s needs and no hesitation to do anything. The ambiance in the restaurant is beautiful! Great vibes with live band.

I came here once about 6 years ago for the morning brunch buffet and the prices were ridiculous. It took me 6 years to come back and this time i came for Mothers Day. I knew that every where we went, there was going to be some sort of waiting. When we walked in the hostess was running around like a chicken with a head cut off. They had to entries to the restaurant which was a big mistake because you can not keep track of the guest who are coming in first and placing them on the waiting list. We were told 20 – 30 min wait so we decided to stay. Problem #1 — Someone who was placed on the list after us was seated first. Their party was the same number of people as our party so why were they sat first? Good thing we got sat 5 minutes after they were. Problem #2 — They brought a basket of chip with a small cup of salsa. What am i suppose to do with a small cup of salsa and a basket full of chips. Problem #3 — The staff was so disorganized. They had a large party(10) and they were setting up tables for the party. Instead of picking up the tables they were dragging the tables. These tables are metal table and when you drag them, they scratch the floor and make a loud noise and disrupts your dinner. Problem #4 — I know that it was busy and that our food was going to take longer than expected but when i did get my food it was cold. I didn’t bother saying anything because i know it would be another 30 mins before i got my food again. Problem #5 — They did not bother refilling our drink until we were all done with our food. Problem #6 — When we finally got our check they gave us a check that did not even belong to us. They tried to give a bill that was for $ 98.00 when our actual bill was only $ 48.00. Needless to say, i will not be returning to eat here. There prices are to high and the food is not that great.

I came for Mother’s Day with 15 of my family members I was told it would take 45 minutes. One hour passed almost 2 by now we finally sat down. I asked the Mananger why it was taking so long her response was that she couldn’t ask people to leave since those people where done and just watching the mariachi. I’m waiting for my food the service is HORRIBLE and the food wasn’t great for all that time we waited. Wouldn’t recommended this place to anyone.

HORRUBLEHORRIBLEHORRIBLE! I ordered the Carne a la huasteca and it was literally the WORST carne I had ever tried! I was chewing on grease and fat. I was beyond disgusted. The entertainment wasn’t good either! And at the end, the waitress was rushing for us to leave. Don’t waste your time or money.

We came to this restaurant when it first open and it was great at the time. For that reason we came back now, WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!! Service is awful! «Hot chocolate» $ 5.00 half of a cup(that’s the amount they give you) it’s made with instant chocolate powder and with warm water. Food was late and cold, the reason given was because there was a bigger group of clients and they were a priority. VERYSMALLPORTIONS!!! EXTREMELYOVERPRICED!!! WEWILLNEVERCOMEBACKHERE!!!

La Huasteca restaurant is amazing. Every detail resonates the National Pride of Mexican tradition and culture. The food, drinks, décor, staff, artwork, all amazing. What a wonderful place to enjoy a meal with the company of friends and relatives. Their unique menu offers classic dishes with an upscale flair. The presentation of the plates are artful and elegant. This is both a great local and destination restaurant. Highly recommend this place.

Came here for the first time and enjoyed every bit of it. I ordered the enmoladas which are like chicken enchiladas but instead of red sauce it has mole. It was so delicious and the mole was tasty! My mother got the traditional chile relleno and it was very good too. My favorite part was the dessert though! Fresas con crema in almond basket. Our server was knowledgeable, kind and attentive to our needs. I appreciate the great service they gave my mother and I. It is a place I’ll definitely be coming again.

Heard so many great things about this restaurant, never knew where it was until recently. The short story: SERVICE: 5 stars Waiters at very attentive and really happy. They do a great birthday thing with sombreros and it’s quite fun. FOOD: 5 stars Authentic and great quality median food –refills are constant, servings are huge and everything was flavorful. I had he lamb but you can’t really go wrong with any further the items on their menu. PRICE: 3 stars Probably the most expensive Authentic Mexican food I have had, I think this is on the high end non-corporate chain, non– fusioned scale… So I can’t really fault the prices. LOCATION&PARKING:1 star Don’t get lost, don’t ask for directions and don’t leave any valuables in your car.

I was here for the first time about a week ago for a friends birthday. Wow! The food was great! We ordered the garlic shrimp and steak plate. Both were flavorful and Delicious! Considering we were a pretty large group, the staff managed to keep up with all of us. Great service! Of course I will be back! Aside from the food, my hunny and I also loved the michelada and margaritas!. Two thumbs up!

I stopped by with my lunch partner on a Wednesday. It’s in a hidden mall in Lynwood. The guacamole was fresh and layered with multiple southwestern flavor. I had the Nopales salad for $ 6.95. My partner ordered a fish plate which was delicious. The service was prompt. I always had refills on my soft drink. This place is huge with high ceilings. It’s a great place for groups.

I used to work nearby this restaurant so I’ve been here several times. The food, in general, is okay. There are better Mexican restaurants in the area. The service has been average to above average. On my most recent outing there, we had a group of 8, and our waiter was PHENOMENAL! So friendly & personal. He came around just enough to keep our drinks flowing and to check on the food. In terms of the food, I’ve had one of their fish dishes before, although I can’t remember which one, which means it probably wasn’t very memorable. I’ve also been here for Happy Hour, and I must say that the Coconut-Strawberry margarita is AWESOME! Very refreshing and just strong enough. The Happy Hour specials are also a good deal. Our party of 8 got several dishes. One of them was the Queso Fundido, which was my favorite. You’ll need to eat it while it’s hot though! The restaurant is big and it’s perfect for medium-sized groups. They have interesting wall deco. They also have sombrero hats, which you can wear and take pictures with. They are located in the back of Plaza Mexico, and there is plenty of parking available. One word of caution… the restroom is small for the size of the restaurant — I think there are only 2 stalls in the women’s restroom, and they don’t keep them very clean!
