The portion size was huge and the taste was authentic. Parking: Find a spot anywhere in the complex or on the street Service: You can grab extra napkins or utensils off of the side counter even lukewarm water. The owner lady is nice. Price: It’s relatively cheaper than other Chinese-Korean fusion restaurants around the area.

The KOREAN –CHINESE connect: Situated along auto parts dealers and a crossfit gym, we finally bit the bullet and was wowed by their food. I’m new to this kind of Asian fusion– and so much more my companion in crime. Through Unilocal’s recommendations, I ordered the«Combo A» which is half black bean sauce on noodles(Jia Jang Myun) and sweet & sour pork(TangSooYook). We also ordered the Spicy Chicken with vegetables. A Banchan of pickled lemons and fresh onions dipped in very dark vinegar and soy sauce(almost like Kecap Manis) plus a small plate of cabbage(not Napa but real cabbage!) kimchi appeared along with a hefty bowl of rice. Needless to say portions are HUGE and their prices are teriyaki cheap. Taste was excellent and we left with over fed tummies –complete with«to go» boxes-vowing to return(they serve Mapo tofu too!)

The combo ½ black bean noodle and ½ sweet and sour pork is one of my favorite meals. It’s the kind of thing I think about more often than I should. Consistent food, monster portions, killer comfort food at a good price.

Big portions and lady is really nice. It’s not your typical Chinese. It’s Korean style Chinese. Not bad for big parties.

The North side is seriously lacking in good Korean/Chinese food. My mom’s friends had been raving about this place, so I decided to check it out. I’ve been here two times and both times my family and I have ordered the Jjajangmyun(black bean noodles), jjambbong(spicy seafood soup) and the tang soo yook(sweet and sour pork) Pros: — HUGE portions, and I mean seriously huge. Actually, I don’t think I’ve ever been to a restaurant with such huge portions! I didn’t listen to the Unilocal reviews… Trust me: you will not be able to finish whatever you order. — Low prices. Seriously low. Only $ 5.95 for the normal Jjajangmyun. — The food. The food is 4⁄5 stars. Ive had better Jjambbong and Jjajangmyun but unfortunately this is the best for the north side… as far as I know. And with the portions being so huge, I would definitely come back here again. Whatever: — Service is nothing special. It’s decent. The cups/utensils are in the back of the restaurant and it’s self serve. They have ice water and hot tea. — I wouldnt get the tang soo yook again. The meat didnt taste fresh. But EVERYONE seemed to be ordering this. Tip: the parking lot here is weird. They share a lot with a bunch of other businesses but again, the parking lot is shaped weirdly so if you go at a peak time, it may be difficult to get in/out. At least it’s free!

Big portions, good taste! I ordered Jjajangmyun and House Fried Rice; all perfect. One portion of Jjajangmyun could be shared with 2 – 3 people.

I am a regular patron for this authentic Korean Chinese restaurant. The price is so affordable and the food is exceptional. there are time you may have to wait in line. Try to avoid peak time(lunch & dinner). For the price that I get I don’t have much expectation for the service. When they got busy, I just self-serve to refill my water/tea. I like how they keep it clean, and bathroom is very clean too. I like jjampong(spicy seafood noodle soup) and jjajangmyun(black bean sauce noodle). Their dumplings are homemade, it is so tasty.

Unfortunately this was a pretty big disappointment considering I received a personal recommendation from a friend along with thinking the reviews also confirmed what she had said. Getting into this narrow parking strip in front of the restaurant was difficult to maneuver since its a dead end especially if another car is exiting. After reviewing the worn down one page menu, I ordered what seemed to be the one of the more popular items. The spicy seafood noodle soup and sweet and sour pork combination. It was a major let down. The only bonus was the price was cheap so it didn’t make me feel so bad that I had wasted my money. It seemed like poor quality and preparation especially with the sweet and sour pork. On top that, the service was pretty slow considering the ratio of server to customer was 1 to 1… So, I do not plan on going back ever.

I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. Long story short, the exterior of this place appears pretty dumpy and their food/service didn’t prove to be any better. I ordered the half jjamPpong(korean seafood noodle soup) and ttangsooyook(sweet and sour pork). I’m a soup person and I specifically requested my jjamPpong to have less noodles, but my request was completely disregarded. Ttangsooyook was bland and I question the quality of the meat used here. There was this unpleasant odor as I was chewing the meat. Perhaps i came on the wrong day, but one bad experience is enough for me. This restaurant provides very large portion for very affordable/cheap price. If you’re a quantity over quality person, then here is your jackpot. However, I will be crossing off this restaurant in my places-to-eat list.

For the location, this place does what it does well. I was craving jjajangmyun and tangsooyook on a recent business trip, and thank goodness this place popped up on Unilocal. The tangsooyook sauce was a little strange but the jjajangmyun was pretty good. The portions were outrageous though! One order was enough for two people… so basically I had enough food for four people. Oh and the dumplings. Yeah I was served enough food for five people. It was pretty ridiculous :) But the prices were totally reasonable! I felt bad wasting the food though. If I could tell the restaurant owners one thing… reduce the portions! Reduce the prices too if that makes sense! That might not be a popular opinion amongst our spendthrifty friends… But definitely too huge a portion size for one order.

Maybe I’m a little biased because I’m originally from k-town, LA or I’ve just had too many Korean-Chinese fares. You see, where I’m from the jja-jjang myun needs to be the crown & glory for a Korean Chinese spot or the place gets dismissed. The jja-jjang myun is not good and the rest of the dishes are slightly better than the black bean noodles. The batter to meat ratio of all their fried specialty plates are off but the portions are generous. The service is pleasant and welcoming but the food leaves you greasy and heavy. I wanted to like this place just for its accessibility(hwy 99) but I’ll keep driving.

Overall, not very good(this is a very forgiving choice of words). To break it down: 1. Noodles with black bean sauce — if you’ve ever gone to a decent place with good jja jang myun, this will shock you. It is very unflavorful and bland here. The sauce is not flavored correctly enough to be authentic unless you live in a zero sodium household. 2. Seafood spicy soup with noodles(jjam ppong) — again where is the flavor? I get the sense that I’m devouring carbs that have no flavor. 3. Fried chicken with spicy sauce — again the breading is not the standard and makes you feel the greasiness. Definitely not the correct sauce, it is just the same sauce they use for sweet and sour pork with a few peppers thrown in(this is just laziness and misrepresentation of an otherwise popular dish). Overall, to best describe this place is to say you are eating a large load of carbs which are generally supposed to be good and flavorful but instead you are just chewing matter inside your mouth with some side liquids and sauces which taste like nothing. The flavor here is absent and really makes me regret downing so many carbs with NOFLAVOR. If you’re going to eat unhealthy, make sure it tastes good! Words to live by little Unilocalers. PS the only good part is servings are large for the price but as I said, I would prefer a smaller portion that tasted better or tasted like anything at all. Always remember, cheap prices and large portions are no excuse for absent flavor. Cheap eats should be good and desirable not a justification for lack of taste.

I discovered this place about 3 weeks ago and it was very memorable. The portions are huge and the prices are really affordable. It is a fusion Chinese and Korean restaurant. The restaurant in itself is pretty clean and organized. There is a station on the far end left of the counter where you can get your own tea, water, and utensils. There is usually one lady who takes your order and another person who buses each station. The lady who takes your order is pretty nice and friendly. I love the noodles — zoo good. The jja gang myung is so good. It is seasoned to perfection. If you get an individual order of this, the portion is gigantic. It could feed about 3 – 4 people. I liked the spicy chicken — really good. It might be on the heavier breading side but it is still very tasty. I tried the sweet and sour pork — it was a little too sour for me. I wouldn’t order this again. Be prepared to be well fed. It is definitely heavier on the carbohydrate side though so be forewarned.

This restaurant is so interesting — it boasts authentic Korean-Chinese food in a teriyaki restaurant environment. It seems very fast food’ish in atmosphere, but the jjampong(spicy seafood noodle soup) and jjajangmyun(noodles in black bean sauce) are pretty good. The noodles are not hand pulled and likely made by a machine, but they are chewy and cooked well. The broth of the jjampong is not as rich and spicy as I usually enjoy, but it is still a decent version for this area. The biggest disappointment is the tangsuyuk(deep fried pork with sweet sauce). They serve Chinese-American style sweet and sour pork pieces — so the breading is very different and not at all tangsuyuk-like. I would not order this again. They serve yang bechu kimchi(American cabbage kimchi) with the noodles, and I have to say that it is excellent. Kimchi is typically made of napa cabbage, so it is nice to find this version here — and it is so tasty, we had 2 refills of it! Others reviewers are not exaggerating about the huge portion sizes. Unfortunately, I would say almost too big. I feel a bit gypped of the jjampong broth, because there was just an overabundance of noodles. If you look at my «after» picture, you’ll see how much noodles are leftover — and that is after splitting the noodles with my son.

Saw this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try with family. Ample parking on a Sunday because the other local businesses(auto) are closed. Walked in and saw a packed house(64 – 6 person booths and 26-person tables). Nice little hole in the wall, just my type of restaurant. We’ve been looking for a ja jang myun(noodles with black bean sauce) and cham bbong(spicy seafood noodle soup) place for awhile now. Walked in and EVERY table had sweet and sour pork at their table. Hmmm… maybe we should order? We ordered the ja ja myun combo with sweet and sour pork for $ 8.99, ja ja myun combo with fried dumplings for $ 7.99 and cham ja myun(yes, half –half combo with the divided bowl!) for $ 8.99. Service is a little slow but it was Mother’s Day so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Oh yeah, just tasted my first bite! It’s great. Best ja ja myun taste in Seattle so far. Nice and hot with good taste. Cham bbong gives you a lot of seafood, sweet and sour pork tastes like LA Ko-Chi restaurants and the fried dumpling does the trick(ginger taste to it; I think made fresh). Not sure if the noodles are made fresh here but the taste is comparable to what I got in LA. I’d give it 4.5 star if I could.

My friends and I were starving after class and decided to come here to eat on a Monday Night. Fortunately, the food here is AMAZING! The food here is a mix of Korean and Chinese food and they offer a variety of dishes. They also have teriyaki! I ordered a combo which included a half order of jja jang myun(black bean noodle) and a side of sweet and sour pork. Like all the other reviewers said, the portion size here is HUGE! I was barely able to finish it. Even that HALF order size of black bean noodle was huge! Can’t even imagine a full size order. The meal only came out to… LESSTHAN10DOLLARS! SUPER affordable! I only took one star off because i felt the wait for the food was long(maybe because I was hungry). But i also found something in my cup. Overall, DEFINITELY worth a try! SUPERCHEAPANDSUPERDELICIOUS!

Don’t judge the outside of the restaurant because the Jajangmyeon and the sweet and sour pork is so godly here. First of all, this place is super affordable. Most of the dishes here cost $ 10. $ 10 of super size portions!!! The portions here are giant… I had trouble finishing the half and half Jajangmyeon and sweet and sour pork! I would imagine if you ordered just Jajangmyeon, you would spend your sweet time eating a mountain of noodles. However, I found that the cups at this place weren’t that clean(should have gone for the hot tea). Plus the Kimchi here isn’t that great, it looks like it just came out of a jar! They serve weird side dishes here, raw onions and takuan with a side of black bean sauce. I didn’t find myself eat the raw onion at all! Again, super affordable, super size potions and good food. But it could have been better. GETTHEHALFANDHALFCOMBO.

I’m surprised that this place doesn’t have more reviews but that’s fine with me. This place is a legit restaurant for jajangmyun(black bean noodles). I only tried this dish so I can’t review any of the other dishes but wow the portion for the jjm are huge! You can definitely split one bowl between 2 or even 3 people depending on appetites. You can’t beat the price for $ 6.00. Where I’m from I would expect about 1⁄3rd of the portion and definitely more watery sauce. The sauce wasn’t overly great but it wasn’t bad. The sauce had the right consistency and more meat then expected. It did have too many onions in it though. Overall, great service, good food, cheap and huge servings.

Here it goes. 5 stars. I am only reviewing their Korean — Chinese dishes. Not the American Chinese stuff they offer. Portions are HUGE. HUGE. Prices are CHEAP. Food is amazing. We ordered Jja Jang Myun, Jjam Pong, and Tang soo yuk(Korean Chinese style sweet and sour pork) and all three dishes tasted like I remember from my childhood in Korea. Their dishes are a tad bit sweeter than other Korean Chinese restaurants but sooo delicious. Highly recommended. Service was pretty good too. The lady seemed a bit cold at first but she turned out to be really nice actually. They do not take Amex. They accepted my Visa card though.
