Just had a great experience with this place is what I would have said if they actually took my order… instead I got a blank stare and a quick we are closed. It’s 7:53pm Unilocal says they close at 9. It’s cool I order from another spot in H mart 15 mins later I pass by and I see a person putting in an order at this place I thought was(closed) and the young lady that denied me had a nice smile on her face taking an order. So yeah I may want BCD back because this place is horrible and I suggest that no one give business to a place where they don’t treat all customers the same. Thanks for reading!

Meh. Not my favorite tofu soup experience in Lynnwood. I know I know. It’s the food court but other places located here have never disappointed(aka the jjajjangmyun place). It is cold and dark in this corner of the food court and the door was left wide open letting all the cool air from outside in. The girl at the counter wasn’t too friendly, making ordering a little uncomfortable. Also, none of the other patrons cleaned their dishes up– what’s up with that?! It clearly asks you, in Korean and English, to do so. It’s not that hard folks. I asked for a spicy soup and received a bowl of piping hot watered down tofu soup. The sides were ample enough and you could ask for more if needed. I wonder if the fish is supposed to be hot? Because I got a cold cooked fish when I visited. Overall it was a decent meal when I was in a bind but I’ll visit other places when I’m in Lynnwood if I’m craving tofu soup.

Over the past couple of years, the quality of food has gone down quite a bit for this place. Most noticeably, dishes such as the pork /beef bulgogi has lost its yummy flavorful texture, and the freshness of the dishes are quite questionable. For the past recent visit, came here with family to order: pork bulgogi and soondubu(tofu soup). When we received our food, first thing we noticed was how quickly the pork bulgogi turned cold. Usually, this dish stays sizzling hot for quite a bit of time, but for this visit, it seems like the food was heated up and served while the«sizzle» was still happening. As for the soondubu, the soup was quite lacking in flavor and failed to meet the average taste of other BCD places. Finally, the side dishes… normally, the side dishes here are alright and on some particular days, it’s quite tasty. However, the side dishes we got were quite stale and the kimchi looked wilted and sad. In terms of service, the waitstaff was quite unfriendly and very abrupt. Whenever we tried to ask a question(for a utensil or sauce), one of the staff would give us a really long stare before proceeding to go back to the kitchen and asking for things. It seems like the ownership of this place has changed, and unfortunately along with it, the service and the quality of food.

It seems that the owner is changed. The service is terrible. They gave us a little bit Korean kimchi, I asked the guy to get more three time, he just ignored us. The food quality was also very low. This should be our last time to here. We went to here several time before. It was OK and convenient.

BCD is a notable chain that serves pretty good tofu soup along with some Korean BBQ options. This place has about the same menu but the quality and service seems to be not the level I expect considering I’ve been to the one in LA. However if you like Korean then this is not a bad place to try if you’re already at Hmart.

It is located in the H-Mart food court, way in the corner. Food was solid, the seafood soondubu was a little on the salty side but nice and spicy and warming on a cold drizzly day. The rice was purple, so pretty cool. They mix white rice with another kind of rice from H-mart that makes it purple. They cook it in stone bowls that leave yummy crunchy goodness at the bottom to scrape off. Add a little soup or tea to soften it up for easier scraping. Good banchan– the fried yellow croaker was a delicious way to start the meal. They give you a number and bring out your order on a little trolley, which is nicer than waiting for a big Korean meal by the booth. Again. It is in the food court. The food court is really cold. And it was also very difficult to find a table, which was weird because it was ¾ empty. No, what made it hard to find a table was that nearly all the tables with no patrons were also unbussed. There were trays and empty dishes everywhere. My mom and I ended up moving a tray to another table so we could sit down. We saw another woman do the same. There weren’t any centralized stations with napkins or anything either to clean the tables because it was a food court. So, the downside to being served in a food court is that you don’t have clean available tables when you get busy or lazy. Too bad for that.

I have been to the tofu house twice now for dinner when visiting my favorite grocery store H Mart. I enjoyed my combo meal of Kalbi beef one visit and beef bibimbop another time. It is hard to find a seat during peak times because the tables are not bussed promptly but the counter persons are working very hard every time I’m there so I don’t fault them for that. I also think the price is too steep for what is received. The food is delicious and comes with ban-chan that was different each time I went(I love variety so that’s nice) and tea but the amount of meat in the bibimbop wasn’t even a full bite’s worth. Once I mixed it up in my bowl I could not find any beef again. And it was $ 15 for my meal. The short rib combo was $ 17 – 18 and was a lot of food overall but I prefer more meat in a pricey dish like this. I was able to go into H Mart and get a whole package of short rib for $ 6 so I do not think I would buy again unless I was in the mood for the full course meal experience.

I’m very disappointed with this place. Their customer service is absolutely terrible and to be honest, their food is not that great. My mom ordered food from here and the rest of my family ate at various other places. We ate all of our food and hers simply never came out. Her number was clearly on the table and it wasn’t that busy in the food court. When my mom went to see what was going on, she said she went around and called our number. Obviously that was a lie because we were all looking around for her. We then found her food out on the middle of the restaurant just sitting there. She offered to heat it up for us but of course by then we didn’t want it anymore. Now however, the owner refuses to refund her. That was the last straw. I’ve eaten at other BCD restaurants and they were all very good and I’ve never had a bad experience. I do not recommended this BCD restaurant. Go to a different one.

This is my first time having Korean food at a food court and probably my last. The food was bland but you are paying the same price you would as you would pay at a sit down restaurant. The service was horrible and we were unable to find a clean table. I really wanted to enjoy this place and give it more stars because it was recommended by a coworker but it just did not live up to my expectations.

I don’t know what it is about tofu soup, but I love it, gotta have it, and crave it all the time. This particular location is inside the HMart food court. It actually does pretty impressive work, considering it seems to be a bit of a fast food joint.(I mean, it’s in a food court) I normally like to get the soup/Kalbi beef combo. Basically you get a smaller version of both, but still a ton of food. Husband will get an additional soup, and if you’re here Sunday-Thursday, they normally will give you some sort of extra entrée free. The last couple times it was trout or tofu salad. Here, the soup tends to be a little more bland than other Korean tofu soup places. That or my tolerance is at a lifetime maximum. I recommend getting it spicy of you can take it as once it cools down, the flavor does a little too. The sides are a little minimal in comparison to other restaurants, but good. Not the best I’ve ever had, but definitely a good value!

This was my first time eating at the H-Mart food court and for being in a food court, the quality of this food was great! I am a huge fan of Korean tofu soup and I was not disappointed. The sides were very tasty as well. The only downside about this place being part of a food court is that the service isn’t that great. When I placed my order, I had a hard time finding a table that didn’t have any dirty dishes on it. Once I found the last clean table in a corner, they began cleaning all the tables. Other than that, I would definitely return for the delicious food.

Love this place. Just smile and look happy/eager to be there, and you’ll be treated like royalty… such is the korean way. Bring your best attitude, and enjoy this scrumptious SEOUL-food~! Bottomless ban-chan(side dishes). Fresh Barley Tea. Rice-Crisp Tea. Filling! I recommend the small gut SoonTofu if you’re feeling native. Fish Roe SoonTofu if you’re feeling semi-native. FYI They just had a grand re-opening!

This place gives Korean food bad names. Their food tastes OK. However their presentation was terrifying. Their side dishes looks like they served some left over food. The server had no training on serving nor the language. If you are going for the taste, by all means. But if you want a good dining experience, cross this place off the list.

Ordered a take out today as my wife is under the weather: #10 Mushroom Premium Tofu(soup) medium spicey and #21 Tofu with Vegetable Salad. Food is always good and the banchans are well prepared. I like their Tofu dishes and am fond of the fried fish that is included with each order. The staff are nice and the cooks turn out some good Korean dishes. H-Mart’s food court has several other good food outlets: Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese and Indian cuisines; a Bakery; and a Pastry shop. That is why we keep coming back.

BCDBCD. Oh its like being back in Los Angeles Koreatown… BCD is a great place in general for soondobu. The food is generally good, the service is alright, and the side dishes(including a fried fish) are complimentary. All of this is well and great. Unfortunately this BCD is in a food court setting which makes things inherently a little more difficult. Unfortunately my one experience here was… not so great. The service was alright but two people in our group didn’t recieve side dishes until they asked… twice. The food was good but I hesitate to give it more than 3 stars =/

Both times I’ve eaten at the food court in HMART I come here! Here’s how it works: you order a meal, take a number plate, sit somewhere in the food court, and then they come to you in a cart with your food when your meal is ready. Both times I got the Seafood Soup Combo because it’s THAT good! It comes with the seafood soup in a stone pot(large oysters are a plus!), some banchan, the purple multigrain rice(because that’s healthier than white rice apparently), and a little fried fish. All for less than $ 11! You can’t beat that price!

I go here often with the boyfriend, especially if we are hungry and needing to stop by HMART anyway. This is my fave food option in the food court, because 1) I just love Korean food and 2) it’s a good deal. I usually go for the Soon Tofu soup & Entrée Combo. My go-to entrees are usually the bibimbap or the bulgogi. I love the sides too. Can’t go wrong with quick, fairly-priced, and convenient Korean food IMO.

Get your spicy tofu fix here! The 8.99 per bowl is a very reasonable price especially because each person gets a generous serving of banchan! It’s always pleasing seeing the stone bowl of korean purple rice and the soup still boiling as it’s served on your table. There are a TON of different options as well as combinations if you want soup & an entrée like teriyaki, bulgogi or bibimbap. If you’re a fan of spice and Korean flavors, then this is the place. I was also battling a cold and the spicy soup definitely hits the spot!
