I am not sure what changed over the last several months. This used to be my favorite Chinese food takeout. We would regularly get orange chicken and curry beef. The last two times we’ve ordered there’s hardly been any meat in the meals, the sauces are bland(curry wasn’t even spicy!), and the meat that was in there was super chewy and gross. I used to look forward to ordering from here but I don’t think we’ll be eating here anymore. It’s too bad.

Starting off with the positives, the service is fast and all the employees are nice. The Primary Con when it comes to Mings is the food. I ordered many traditional take out Chinese items for pickup. I’ve never had such greasy food, with such a lack of distinct flavor. It’s not inedible, but I suggest exploring other local restaurants before resorting to Mings

This tends to be one of my Chinese go-to places. Fast and good food. Crab Rangoon were good, as was General Tso’s chicken.

I always thought the food is decent for a takeout place. Family members don’t like it. I don’t like the chicken wings or hot & sour soup but the fried rice and most entrees are good. Under new management so new review is TBD.

One star because Unilocal is marketing a 10% off coupon for checking in that this restaurant says it is not honoring. There were 3 restaurants i could have picked from while driving through this area. I stopped here because of the discount that was advertised. Yes, I know I am cheap. Too tired and late in the day to get back in the car and drive to another place. But thus place won’t earn my return business regardless of how good their food is. Don’t advertise a discount if you have no intention of honoring it.

This place sucks. They changed the menu. The rice was over cooked garbage, but they still served it. The employees are children. Haven’t they ever heard of child labor laws? The boneless spearibs were absolute fat strips. This place went way down hill. I have been a customer for 7+ years. And now they just suck. It was decently priced, but $ 40 for three meals is outrageous. I would rather go out to eat then get this crap Chinese food. Save your money and don’t waste it on this place. I would give it 0 stars, but you have to give 1.

All of these people who gave Ming’s in Lynnfield 4 or 5 stars, have to be their friends and family. !!! THEYAREGROSS !!!

Takeout has been spot on every time I’ve ordered from Mings. Delivery driver is friendly, food arrives nice and warm, and the food is so good! Pork fried rice, beef teryiake, and boneless spareribs have all been delicious.

Decided to get Chinese take-out for Christmas Eve and I’ve passed Ming’s many times(it’s close to my house). Service was fast and polite; we were the only ones ordering at that time of day. Food was not so great. Probably the worst Chinese that I’ve had. Only the fried rice was passable. Cashew chicken was gross with lumps of «chicken» that were either hard or red and the celery tasted uncooked. Egg Foo Yun was just a blob of nothing that smelled awful and tasted even worse. My friend couldn’t even eat it. The chicken chow mein was a gooey mess that leaked through the box even before we made it home and also tasted very undercooked. I would have gladly waited 5 to 10 minutes longer if it meant the food items were cooked thoroughly. I won’t be going back there.

I had gone once for takeout early in 2015. The food was just only ok, but they forgot my husband’s hot and sour soup. I live ½ hour away, so I just let it go and haven’t been back since. I decided to give it another try. Calling for delivery to my workplace in Wakefield, and the woman couldn’t understand what I was saying, so I had to text her the address. I then texted our order(since English is obviously not her strong suit) at 11:42 am. I texted again to ask when delivery would be since I had a 12:30 meeting, and she says 12:45. Over an hour??? They only opened at 11:30 and got my order at 11:42. When she texted the amount, it was off by about $ 10. I had made an error in my original text, which I corrected right away, and then called to clarify, but they still got it wrong. They do NOT understand English. The food was fresh and ok, but not nearly as good as other places.

Called to place a pick up order the phone was answered as hold. Was put on hold(just put the phone down I could hear everything), after almost 5 minutes I could hear the other business line ring and orders being taken. I hung up and called on the line I was on hold on and the girl that initially put me on hold never acknowledged putting me on hold and acted like she had no idea what happened no apology told me she didn’t know what I was talking about. Very very unprofessional!!!

Two nights in one week, this place is Fantastic. I am very impressed. I ordered the pupu platter for one. Everything was Delicious and fresh and hot. Both nights I also has the House lomein. The lomein is so good. The shrimp didn’t taste fishy at all. You know how sometimes bad seafood can permeate through the whole lomein? Yeah, that’s gross. Their lomein was cooked to perfection. Al dente. I’m so glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews on here. But to all the awesome people Raving about this place, I’m with you! So so good. This place is Bomb.

Ming’s is Chinese food done right. They always have fresh tasting delicious food. Everything on the menu is a solid choice. Their chicken fingers and crab Rangoon’s are always crispy, hot and golden goodness :) The staff is always friendly. They have seating available but it’s more of a takeout place. It located in a plaza where there is plenty of parking…

This restaurant is located just down the street from my office. I’ve been going to the sub shop next door for over a year and was always too nervous to try out a new Chinese food place. Today I was craving some Chinese, so I read the reviews and although many were good, there were a few that made me nervous. I took the advice on some of the other review and got the lo-mein. I called in the order and decided I also wanted crab rangoons. So, I asked for a side order. She mentioned the«combo’s» and said I could get the order of lo-mean and 4 crab rangoons(instead of 6 that the side order comes with). That sounded like the perfect portion for lunch… and it ended up saving me money! Not many businesses would offer you a cheaper option than the one you had already planned to order! I was pleasantly surprised with the service and taste of the food. I’m very picky when it comes to Chinese food(I think the Kowloon is awful!) and have only really enjoyed the crab rangoons from two other places outside of my regular place(Panda Castle — Malden). The portions at Ming’s are large and affordable. The crab rangoons were crisp and fresh tasting. Everything was very hot when I picked it up. It’s a rarity that I come on Unilocal to make a review at all, nevermind a positive review. I felt like I had to advocate for this place, as the very negative comments almost stopped me from trying it out. I gave it a 4 out of 5 instead of 5 out of 5 because I’ve only been there once. Since I will definitely try it again… I might bump it up to a 5 if it’s just as good the next time.

My husband and I travel past numerous other Chinese restaurants to get here. The chicken is great because it’s not SUPER breaded like most places are. Great prices, delicious food. The All Day special deal you just can’t beat!

Are you kidding me?! There are only a few reviews on here, but for this place to get anything above 2 stars is beyond me. This is the absolute WORST Chinese takeout food I have ever had. Shopping mall food is better than this. Authentic?! Lady, you have no idea what real Chinese cuisine is at all. Yes, it is very cheap, but it is awful. You’re better off taking your $ 5 to McDonald’s or Wendy’s. Terrible quality meats that shouldn’t be fed to human beings. Nothing was good here. Everything was old, cheap quality, oily, and disgusting. NEVERAGAIN.

My experience here was so different than the reviews that it made me question my faith in Boston’s Unilocal community. It was so bad that my lunch partners took away my right to pick further restaurants. I had the General Gao(Tao?!) chicken. Everywhere i have ever been it has been deep fried chicken in a spicy sauce with some veggies. Here is was slices of way overcooked, not breaded, wok fried chicken slices with some undercooked big pieces of veggie in a brown super-salty sauce. I ate a few bites and just couldn’t stand to eat any more. The fried rice that came with was like rice with soy and chunks of really not tasty ham in it. No egg, which is my favorite thing in fried rice. The egg roll was okay. I ate it and the fortune cookie(which was stale) for lunch. Here’s something funny — one of the guys I was eating with ordered his lunch. The lady working the register told him that he ordered too much food. The way she said it made him think she was calling him fat. We laughed about it the whole meal. The portions were very large, but if the food is too bad to eat it really doesn’t matter.

Love this place! The prices are great and the food is fresh and tasty. It doesn’t have that overly greasy feel that you get with a lot of places around here. It is certainly going to be my new go to for Chinese take out. I’ve ordered 3 times now when I’ve had people over and everyone was pleased. That’s a hard task! I just wish that they delivered further. I guess you can’t have everything.

I was staying at the Marroit in Peabody. This was our last meal before a 3 week honeymoon in Italia Ordered a pu pu platter, fried rice & pork lo mien for delivery. Best lo mien I’ve ever had! They use a flat noodle and it was excellent! Highly recommended if you are in the area. Everything else was executed perfectly. I will return the next time I am in New England

This is my new favorite local place for take out Chinese food. The food is great. The portions are large, the service is on point and the price is right.
