Found redemption center woman rude very unhappy«threatening to shut it down» as if their business does us a favor. Not happy to «refund» you the money you already spent on cans. Then they give you a slip to go to the front of the store to buy their over priced goods(or not) with your redemption. For heavens sake stop your«WINE ing» be thankful you own a business and are working-just want to recycle and not listen to «your» unhappiness.

The bottle redemption center around back is the reason I stopped in, they would 5 stars. Friendly people working there and quick and easy to drop off get your slip to get paid and get out. Kappys is where I typically shop but there return bottle section is a pain in the butt! Back to Donovan’s, inside the liquor store, very small, very tight aisles and a sad selection of beers available but it seemed the wine section was very good(I went in for beer and am not a wine guy) I noticed the liquor shelves when I was checking out and they seemed skimpy but its possible I missed something. The cost of my case of Octoberfest was $ 29.99 which is over $ 2 more then I pay elsewhere so ill likely only buy from here when I do bottle redemption every few months.

My namesake liquor store(now owned by a very nice Thai couple) is solid and usually has a good range of liquors and beers available, though it doesn’t have the quirky selection of a place like Magnolia Wine in Watertown or Craft Brew Cellar in Belmont. Good stop if you need a six pack for Pats game or for the weekend.
