I don’t recommend going here one of the guy working there is very rude. They don’t carry A lot of selection.

Searching for new glasses so I must have tried on at least 25 pairs at 2 other stores. I had an idea what I wanted but they were on expensive side so I stopped in at Mr Specs. They were slightly busy but I did get some suggestions from them so I tried a few on here and I really liked their selection. They seemed to be a little cheaper so I have to go back when their not so busy and order the pair I liked but I had other questions and was short on time.

Look… I’ve been going to Mr Specs since I could walk. I am now 36. I went in there recently and the customer service had changed. It was awful. The guy behind the counter seemed more concerned with talking to his friend than waiting on a customer.
He told me to call and make an appointment — as the doctor no longer worked on site. Fair enough. Problem is… the appointments are only in the week and from 10– 12 on… Saturday (!!!). 10 –12?
In this economy, they should be more flexible. People cannot leave work during the week — the doctor should know that. Plus, he would make more money by having weekend appointments and have half the week off.
There is a misconception that people have that we have to cater to doctors, dentists, etc. People forget THEY are the ones paying and doctors and dentists should accommodate us. They work for us, the customer. No one ever calls these people out
Even with the initial rudeness, I called back to try and schedule an appointment but the girl who answered simply said, ‘Hi… Mr Specs… do you have insurance?.’ Then transferred me to a man… who hung up on me when I expressed my displeasure at the service.
I would love to support local business — and pay extra just to keep local people employed… but this experience has forced me to go to the mall. Sad… 36 years of going there. Down the train.

These people have been in business for what seems like forever.
They were the first ones to give me an eye exam and fit me for glasses. Two things at the time I had no desire to do but was pleasantly surprised by their selection and customer service.
They also have affordable eye exams and pretty good hours.
The parking is all street but is walking distance to a coffee shop and convenience store if you need to take care of more than a few things in a short period of time.
