Special Sauce! Great place for lunch when in Lynn area. Banh Mi are good, nice crispy bread, fresh fillings. Not that generous with the meat but more than worth the $ 4 or so they charge. Some of the best and biggest Fresh Spring Rolls I have had. The dipping sauce is extra spicy if you like it that way. I do. Haven’t tried the rice plates yet, but will definitely be back to do so.

Excellent food, very tasty and filling and great prices! The only downfall that the wait can be a bit long during rush hour, such as lunch or dinner. The location is similar to one of those hole in the wall dining facilities, where it’s very taste but a bit dirty. These ladies are great, and friendly, and I enjoy spending my hard earned money here. *NOTE* CASHONLY Highly recommended!

Good BBQ beef sandwich. All sandwiches are 3.50. Phở is also good.8.75 a bowl. They have pearl drinks, 350. parking can be a pain as it is on a busy street.

So happy that we can get Vietnamese subs north of Boston and near my house! So yummy! Love this place! Every time I get a craving it’s so much more convenient than going to Chinatown and seriously just as good! I def recommend this place! Thank you for existing!!!

If you are looking for a decent Banh Mi on the north shore look no further! $ 3.00 gets you a large 12in crusty French bread roll toasted and filled with fresh made to order ingredients. There are 9 different fillings to choose from. Can’t make up your mind? Get the #7 which has all of them! There are also a dozen other menu options like Viet style pork chops and spicy beef phở.

Consistently good food, staff and service. We have been going here for years. I usually leave with a few bags of ready to eat food for $ 20. The banh mi is crunchy and packed with veggies. The chicken rice with a fried egg is yummy. The Bo kho is big enough for two. I love all of the homemade snack foods and shakes. It isn’t as big as the Vietnamese delis in Lowell or Dorchester but it is good for those times when you just want something close to home.

I LOVE Cali Sandwich. Their sandwiches hit the spot every time. I recommend the BBQ beef, it’s my absolute favorite and the prices are out of this world. Thank you for existing, I will be returning again and again.

This place is absolutely delicious and affordable. I can’t believe I forgot about it for a year, but it’s due to certain social circumstances and the fact that I live on the other side of the city. The bubble tea is great as well. Personal opinion… most restaurants I’ve been to that were owned and operated by Khmer people but made Vietnamese fare had very flavorful food for a great value.

Best Vietnamese sandwiches I’ve had. Warm. Calm. Super cheap. I feel like I’m in somebody’s house eating their mom’s home cooked food. They have great cheap rice dishes in shrink wrap by the register and sweet bubble tea too. Every time I go here, it gets better and better. They redid their floors, and changed the vibe of the place in some way I can’t explain. Eat here. Don’t be a fool.

I was surprised to hear that there were two Vietnamese eateries in the town of Lynn when I was assigned a six week rotation here for work. I have been craving a good olé Vietnamese banh mi sandwich for some time… and today I let curiosity lead me to Cali Sandwich. The sandwich shop does look very run down, but once you walk across the threshold of that ratty white screen door, it is just like the inside of any other Vietnamese sandwich shop I’ve ever been to. At 11:30am it was pretty slow, business-wise, with only one other couple in there ordering what looked like a dozen sandwiches to go. The lady behind the counter(I do not know if she was just an employee or the owner) offered to make my lone sandwich before continuing on with the larger order(with their permission). I ordered a #2 sandwich — the banh mi with cha lua. I took it to go with a canned soda for $ 4. Pretty great price for a lunch. When I got back to my office, the bread had cooled but was still crispy. The pâté was almost non-existent, and I wished for more. The cha lua was pretty good, although they were cut so thin that I felt like I should have ordered double-meat on my sandwich. The good old flavors of the Vietnamese butter and soy sauce though brought me back to my childhood days… All in all, it fulfilled a craving. It’s decently priced. It was convenient(for my office location in Lynn). I’m not sure I will be back unless I’m here at the office again during the rest of my rotation, but if you’ve got the jones for a banh mi and it’s your only option, it ain’t that bad.
