Good service. I went to replace the tires on a kids bike. He checked all the rest of the bike. Happy that I chose this place. In and out in 15 mins.

Called to see if they had any 29″ mountain bike tires. I had a flat tire in the middle of the mountain last week… he said yes, so i went. I was under the impression that I had to buy a tire coz I thought mines were tubeless. But they weren’t he told me the problem is the tube he changed it all is good now. In an out in like 10 minutes. Guy services me was also real nice. Would definitely go there again.

EDIT: Year later. Bike is having the same issue. I did a little research online and it took me all of 20 seconds to determine that the problem I’m having is a common case of a gunked up main jet on the carburetor. I watched a video on YouTube explaining exactly what to do to resolve this problem, and its not complicated in the slightest. How a mechanic handed me back my bike with the problem wholly unresolved, let alone not even diagnosed, is beyond me. These guys should be ashamed of their awful service. Now I am going to fix the problem myself on the next free weekend I have. I, who has zero mechanical experience, has diagnosed and will be fixing the problem and these guys who call themselves mechanics couldn’t even figure out how to use the telephone properly. I regret giving them any money in the first place. Once again I must iterate that I recommend AGAINST going here because of their awful«service.» If I could rate them LESS than one star, I would. If they go out of business it would be for the better. Why? Well say your little old mother needs to get her car fixed and she brings it to these schmohawks. They dick around for a few weeks inconveniencing her then send her home finally with a «fixed» vehicle. She’s on the road and the issue causes her car to fail and now she’s in an accident. Is that what you want to happen? These guys need to be shut down ASAP. My old review: I wouldn’t use these guys ever again OR recommend them. My motorcycle broke down on me one day and took it to them. I explained the problem to them: it feels like the throttle is not pushing gas to the engine, also the battery has been having issues. They picked it up and then I never heard from them. I called them four times over the course of three days, a week later. Each time they answered the phone«Yeah?!» …okay. When I spoke to the guy he was incredibly rude to me and just wanted me off the phone each time, giving me very little details, not saying much about my bike. The 2nd to last day I called, they said it should be ready tomorrow and they would call me. I waited till 4pm and received no call, apparently they close at 7pm. Sure, maybe they were going to call me within those three hours, but I doubt it. When we spoke(a much nicer gentleman answered this time) he said they are done working on it. I come in to pick it up, they tell me they replaced the battery and it’s running fine now. I said Okay, that’s strange because it definitely felt like it was more than just a battery issue but they are the mechanics so I’ll trust them. I pay them close to $ 160.00(mind you I could have purchased one for about $ 50 and replaced it myself for free but I suspected an issue deeper than just the battery) and the guy says some stuff about how he didn’t bother taking it apart if he didn’t need to. Okay… thought that was the whole point since it’s not running well(actually: at all) and this is what I’m paying you for. But OK, you guys are the mechanics. I get on my bike and it has the *same exact issue* but with a shiny new battery! The throttle is still failing to pump gas to the engine. I stall out about 4 times on the way home, in dangerous situations, too, like at intersections. The only difference is that the battery did not fail from trying to start it so often in succession like it did the day that it broke down completely. So I don’t even think they looked at the bike except for the last day I called them, and just popped a battery in there real quick. If they had gotten on the bike at all they would have noticed immediately that the problem is not resolved, as I did. The receipt they gave me is not itemized, so it’s not even like there’s any record of what they actually did. These guys are a sham and I would never recommend them to anyone or give them business again.

Pros: fast turnaround with repairs, helpful staff, fair prices. Cons: Small selection of new bikes, limited retail space. Visited Legend Bikes to pick up components and accessories for a general commuter bike I was building and they had all the essentials I needed. Despite the small retail area, they are nicely stocked with the essential bike parts, components, accessories, etc. Their new bike selection is very limited, but they can order anything you want. I also dropped another bike for dérailleur adjustments and were able to do it as I waited. Although I’m sure they can order it for you, don’t expect to find the latest and greatest cycling bling in stock. This is a very down to earth bike shop that will meet the needs of the average cyclist and more. My experiences with this shop feel personalized and always walk away with a positive experience. If your local, I recommend you give them a try. Whatever you do, DONOT deal with or buy a bike from Walmart or K-mart! You will find a much better bike and service from a local shop.

Grimaldo is a great guy and has worked on my Schwinn Cruiser several times and supported my company Ride Above. His specialty is BMX(he wrote for Animal Bikes team) but he has other bikes and tons of parts and accessories in the shop and is a great mechanic. He can do custom bikes, painting, etc. Great local mom and pop operation. Skip the chain stores and support your local bike guy!
