In October we purchased a Samsung dishwasher from Lowes. With the dishwasher we purchased the five year protection plan. Since this time our dishwasher has broken twice the first time it took two service visits and two weeks to fix. The second time the dishwasher broke was on 12/30/2015. We are waiting for our third third service call. Each time we have a service call the individual performing the service has to order parts and then typically schedules an appointment about a week later. Today service call was supposed to occur between one and five but then after five when we called we were advised that the service department had been running behind all day. Unfortunately no one from the service department thought to call and advise us they would not make the scheduled time. When I called the appliance department at this Lowes I was advised that they cannot help us after seven days and I need to go through the service center. The service center advised me that they cannot replace or reimburse me for the dishwasher and protection plan until after one year. Prior to this I had been a satisfied Lowes Customer but this experience has shown me what Lowes truly thinks of there customers. Do not shop at Lowes especially for appliances!!!

Stopped in today to shop for a new fridge. Asked an employee walking by for help. He said, «Let me go clock in and then I’ll help you.» Never came back. Not the customer service experience I was looking for on a major purchase. I’ll go elsewhere.

I have spent thousands of dollars at this store. Lately, some of their newer employees have been very disrespectful to me during returns or purchasing. As a customer with years of loyal service, they have recently treated me like a thief or a liar. This is a completely new experience from the years past, and has involved a couple of specific employees. Its gotten so bad for me I don’t mind driving the extra 3 – 4 miles to the Home Depot further north.

Usually I like lowes, but on this visit, I was standing by the sign«product pick up» because I placed the order on line and already paid for it. After standing there for 5 mins or so, being ignored by 2 associates, one of the customer service cashier told me I had to stand in line for«returns» — why do they have a different register and entrance for product pick up then??? I’m just really annoyed because they didn’t seem to care that I was waiting, and didn’t even apologize one bit. And the line was super long for returns. I just absolutely hate this level of customer service.

This weekend was«fix kitchen plumbing» weekend. I was NOT excited about this home project. My garbage disposal has been broken for a little over a year and I guess I just learned to live with it. However, my honey was not having that. Because Home Depot has such poor quality customer service, we drove the 25−30min to Timonium for what we needed. What a pleasant surprise. Employees who were actually around and to top it off able to provide meaningful service?!! What the?!! We came here several times this weekend and each time we were greeted with friendly smiles and offers for help. This is exactly what is needed when doing a DIY project in which youtube and google searches are the primary resources! :) There was enough staff to keep the lines from building up and causing queuing issues, so checkout was a breeze. When we finished the project we had a few things that we didn’t use. The return process was a nice and smooth. I’ll always recommend this location for quality customer service and a friendly environment with home improvement projects. I only gave 4 stars instead of five because as my honey shopped, asked questions, and discussed the house project with employees, I became restless. I wish that there were chairs for spouses such as myself who are just along for the ride, but get caught up in a 1.5hr trip to Lowes! Ya know that section of Macy’s with couches for the bored husbands? They need one here! I ended up picking up magazines/books and sitting in patio furniture while I waited LOL.

Standard big home store. They had what I wanted, a simple half hp garbage disposal. I didn’t need to go high end, just wanted a replacement for the builders special in my townhouse. Found what I needed with a little direction. the employee did try to sell up to a better disposal, which was a lot more money. I said no, this is all I need. He was clearly annoyed, which I didn’t quite understand. An aside here, I know their My Lowes thing is suppose to be helpful, but I don’t want them to track my purchases and I get the sales pitch every single time I buy anything. Stop already!

This is a really clean and organized store. I can pretty much find anything here. I find that they may have some more appealing designs for lighting fixtures, hardware, etc. Prices are competitive and selection is excellent.

They have almost everything Home Depot does. The most helpful employee is the older man with a beard at the contractor’s counter. He has answered every question I have had and has gone well above and beyond with his customer service several times.

Gigantic selection and clean store. I’ve had mixed results with the folks that run the place. Sometimes helpful, sometimes not, and occasionally downright rude. Is it wrong to want to hit a smart-ass employee in the head with a hammer if you haven’t purchased it yet? Its one of the better home improvement places I’ve been to but all of them, Home Depot and Lowes, are staffed by people that hate the job.
