Ever walk into a place and ask yourself«why haven’t I been here lately?» and then you remember? Well that happened to me again here today. I hate this place… they are the worst dealer I have ever dealt with. The sales staff is less than helpful and much less than knowledgeable. Their bikes are over priced, well over book price, not much sense of making an offer because one that is close to the actual book will not be accepted. I was in today, looked at a 2009 Concours, HIGH book value on it was 8100.00, Low book was 6100.00, they had it priced at 9000.00. I called out the fact that it was well over book and that I would make a offer close to book, i was then told that«we could sit down and write up the deal and if the numbers looked right to them we could make things work». Well I only wanted to buy the bike, I wasn’t looking to play any games dickering back and forth, so I responded by telling them that if they would take my offer then I would buy the bike. I was told that i would need to fill out paperwork to make an offer. At this point I turned to leave as I was not going to waste my time with such nonsense. The manager at this point asked what I wanted to offer. I told him I would pay 8000.00, he said no because the bike still had to go to the shop and there were fees etc. I told him that at the end of the day the bike was worth not a penny more than 8100.00 and it would be silly for me to pay more than that. His response? He wasn’t interested in that price. I don’t know why he thinks it is reasonable to try to sell the bikes for a amount greater than book. Silly…fool another buyer…

So I purchased a pre owned Ducati 1098 in May of 2015. Was a bit of a haggle, but got where I needed to be. The sales person was not very well informed about anything. I was told the bike had been detailed and was full of fuel. They delivered it to my house which was nice but was dirty and zero gas. I have a gas station less than a mile from my house and I ran out of gas half way to it. This is not acceptable I don’t need a full tank but delivering me a bike I paid nearly 10 grand for on zero fuel is not good business practice. They seemed eager to take my money but service after the sale seems to be non existent.

I first set foot in Central Mass Powersports about 20 minutes after obtaining my motorcycle permit looking to get a few items in preparation for my rider safety course. The staff behind the counter were very catering and friendly to a clueless newbie, allowing me to try on numerous helmets, gloves, and other equipment, all while answering my questions. Before I left, the Sales Manager, Dave, introduced himself to me and showed me a few bikes since I was equally clueless about what my first motorcycle might be. He had me sit on a couple different bikes to see what I liked best, and even held onto the bikes for me since I was so paranoid I was going to knock one over. I left CMP with his card and an invitation to come in again when I had completed my course, along with a promise of discounting riding gear if I was to purchase a bike from them. I returned to CMP a couple weeks later after completing my course and was greeted by another associate, Ralph(I believe his name was), and I expressed my interest in a Kawasaki Ninja 650 and how I would like to begin the financing process. My application was filed promptly and I received a call a couple hours later letting me know I was approved for a new bike. I went in a couple days later to finish my paperwork and take delivery– which was a breeze. Dave greeted me again and expressed his gratitude towards my business and before sending me off he personally showed me the ins and outs of my new motorcycle. Dave even held his promise from the previous month, he discounted a riding jacket I bought the same day AND was even able to help me out with the gear I had purchased prior to my rider safety course. This truly meant a lot to me. A couple days later I had since endured some trouble with the idle control on my new Kawasaki and I was unsure if the bike had enough oil inside the crank case based on some problems I was experiencing. I was hesitant to ride the bike because I did not want to make any possible problem the bike had any worse. After a nervous phone call to Dave, both he AND the general manager of the store, Gary, dropped everything and DROVETOMYHOUSE to assess my bike(without me even asking) and adjusted my idle, checked the oil, and assured me everything with the bike was okay. The GM even took the bike for a spin before leaving just to make sure every stone was unturned. I was blown away by this customer service, and despite my embarrassment with the situation, Dave and Gary were nothing short of friendly and professional, telling me the house-call was absolutely no problem. This long review still does not end here… last week I dropped by CMP again because my bike had been dripping oil intermittently. Dave, who had not seen me in over a month, greeted me by name and after me explaining my problem, immediately had my bike taken into the shop to be looked over. Again, the problem turned out to be nothing, but the way it was handled was fantastic and truly made me feel once again like a very important customer. Central Mass Powersports has a customer for life and I cannot say enough good things about the customer service with this store. It is very refreshing to feel valued and respected, these are two things that are a rarity nowadays. Thank you, Dave, and the rest of CMP. I truly appreciate everything you’ve done to get this new rider comfortable and on his feet… or bike, rather!

To begin with, they have a great address, 321 Electric Avenue. C’mon. They used to be Sky Cycle, and my sweetie got a great deal on her Shadow Spirit. Nice place, good parts and accessories counter, and they’re open 7 days a week. Good prices on their bikes. Nothing to complain about, there. Amendment: We were in the neighborhood, and discovered these guys have moved to RT2A, in Lunenburg, about a mile west of the Hannaford’s. So much for the cool address. However, they have TONS more space, now. They also seem to be marketing more towards Sport Bikes, FYI.
