What can I say, the Sauseburger is a fantastic place to eat. My only complaint is that they aren’t open more than Fri-Sun. I’ve never had a bad meal here, my personal favorite is the bacon sausage sauseburger with the works, but right now(Fall 2015) they are doing a sandwich menu that is equally as delicious as their usual offerings. The owners, Herb and Dee, are two of the nicest and most genuine people you could ever meet and have more than earned the fierce loyalty their regular customers have for their establishment. If you happen to be out on Lummi Island on a weekend afternoon, try The Sauseburger, you wont regret it! Note: They don’t take credit cards, but you can usually get cash at the Islander next door. Note for Disabled: Has its own parking lot next door at The Islander, but entering the building might be a challenge if you are in a wheelchair(gravel and a few low steps). However, I am sure they would be willing to help however they can.

We all had sausages, 2 chicken(1 on a stick) and 1 pork. Delicious! Get the chipotle sauce. Made it fast enough to hop on the ferry. Great service.

UPDATE: Sometimes the Sauseburger has Rib Weekend. The Sauseburger has simply, bar none, the BESTRIBSEVERINTHEHISTORYOFRIBS. Meaty, tasty, made of pure awesomeness. My husband asked how they were and I held up a bare bone.(This is unheard of for me, because generally I think ribs are nothing but a waste of time and money) You should pre-order when you can because I’m going back every time there is a rib weekend and so should you. Sides: Chili: comforting. Potato Salad:(note, I’m also a potato salad snob) Tasty! The Sauseburger just reopened and since the ferry wasn’t in yet, we stopped for a taste. I tried the pork sausage on white with the chipotle mayo.(They have plenty of toppings, but I’m a purist.) Delicious sandwich! Bread was a little crunchy(not stale, but some kind of bread that should have a little crunch because it’s made that way, but since I’m not a bread guru, Idk what type it is besides: yummy), sausage was perfectly cooked and tasty! Loved the chipotle mayo! Staff is super friendly and nice and OMG they have an awesome rock as a paperweight!!! A little too pricey at $ 8/per sandwich for me to eat there every week,(it’s reasonable and worth the $$ just not within our budget) but we’ll definitely be back!
