Pei Wei is always consistently good. The staff is helpful and always friendly, particularly the GM Chris. Our last visit, I ordered the Mongolian Beef and my wife had the lettuce wraps and we also shared a hot & sour soup. Everything came out quickly and was hot. The quality of the food was excellent, as always. I’ve never had anything at Pei Wei that I didn’t like. The Lubbock location is in a nice shopping center in town and the restaurant is always clean. Great place for a large group, or dining alone, or for kids. Prices are good and service is fast and friendly.

Had lunch at Pei Wei. Their Mango California roll was decent, though next time I would try something spicier. The pork egg rolls were great, filled with ground pork goodness, accompanied by a nice dipping sauce. The crab wontons were tasty, although there wasn’t much crab taste. The sesame beef was flavorful, slightly spicy, teriaky, and nutty from the sesame seeds. It wasn’t sweet like some Pei Wei dishes can be. You can choose white rice, brown rice, fried rice, or even noodles. You can order extra vegetables or protein, or make your order extra spicy. I would get there before the meal rush as you have to wait in line and order before you can get a table, and since every dish is made fresh, there can be a wait at peak hours. If you’re in a rush, take out may be quicker. I definitely would go back.

Hey Hey Pei Wei. I know this is a chain, but it is still some of the best asian food in LBK. They have an option for everyone and get your food to you fast and hot. I like that they have a take out cashier. I have noticed their portions getting smaller and healthier, but let’s get real, America needs that if we are honest. I have never had a bad experience here to be honest and have visited over 100 times for sure. I used to be addicted. Glad I got that off my chest. Now I probably crave it every 3 or 4 weeks. I recommend their lettuce wraps. They are low calorie, filling, and easy on my wallet. They have nice lighting, but don’t take your first date here. This is a good chain staple that you always know what you are going to get.

I really had been enjoying this place until my last visit. We ordered Mongolian Steak and Thai Dynamite Steak. The Mongolian steak was the usual quality but the Thai Dynamite was by far the worst thing I have tasted. The Steak, vegetables, and brown rice all tasted like straight gas fumes. The meal was advertised as a spicy item and it there was really no spice at all, in fact it reminded me of a pizza topping Italian sausage. I burped up gas fumes for the rest of the day. I will definitely be second guessing another visit suggested by anyone.

Very awesome place! My uncle manages Pei We’si in Denver and he would be super proud of the quality of the service and food here! I will definitely be back for more.

If you’ve been to one Pei Wei you’ve been to them all. To quote my father who was dining with me, «That was forgettable. Maybe it was staff training night». I will say the service at this location is exceptionally abysmal. I ordered a sushi roll and went to sit down. Upon looking at my receipt, I noticed the roll I ordered wasn’t the roll written down. I went to the register to let the cashier know and was informed«oh we are actually out of sushi». I was confused, as they still happily took my $ 6.99 for an item they supposedly were out of… after talking to a manager he was able to find sushi 15 minutes later. By then, my family had finished eating. Save yourself — there are so many other good Asian places to eat in Lubbock.

I always love the food here but the staff on the front end are not paying attention and the dining area was filthy on three occassions. Staff do not pay attention to people getting up so tables can be cleared for people waiting to sit. I did a call in order another time and waited quite awhile for anyone to notice I was there, although my food was sitting there in a bag. The staff was just apathetic and a dirty dining area is just gross.

I have nothing bad to say about Pei Wei, other than it gives me terrible grumble gut for at least a day after eating it. However, the customizable Coke machines make up for it!

Yum. For a chain restaurant, their food is pretty scrumptious. It all is a little on the sweet side, but always fresh and hot. Service is by «group» method, and is usually avg. Rarely more than a 5 minute wait to order, and we usually are chowwing down within 15 mins of arrival. My favorite is the shrimp(double portion) with the Thai Dynamite sauce. The Carmel Chicken is good too. Be sure and split the lettuce wraps for an appetizer though. Avoid the temptation to walk next door to Marble Slab for dessert; drive the ¾ mile West on 82nd street & grab a real treat: frozen custard from Sheridan’s. 4.0 stars rounded up for value & speed of service = 4.5 stars or 5.0

This place is amazing! Whether you are eating by yourself or with a group of people, you can’t go wrong with Pei-Wei! There are so many good things to order that it’s hard to order the same thing more than once. I definitely recommend trying it all!

4 of us went for lunch. This was our first time here. You go up to the counter, order & pay for your food and they bring it to your table. The food was really good and a large serving. We actually had a to go box. The people were very friendly. We will definitely go back.

This is a busy location, but I love the fact that they cook your food when you order it. Fresh and tasty, the dishes can be ordered with your preferred protein. They have a great tofu option, very firm and«meaty». The hot and sour soup is delicious and the egg rolls are crispy and filling. Enjoy!

What a disappointment this place turned out to be. We tried them because the smells were great as we came out of the FedEx a couple of doors down. And hooray! No MSG! Well, not such a hooray. My fried rice was undercooked and hard; the broccoli was raw. Bland bland BLAND and tasteless, with more chicken fat than chicken meat. Husbands noodle bowl of chow mein was just as flavorless, and had only 3 bites of chicken in the whole dish. Egg rolls were passable, but bland. And the table soy sauce was just as flat — as though it had been diluted. That they were busy at all is just testimony to how bad so many other places are here. They’re definitely shooting for a different demographic. One with lots of money to blow on low quality food.

I love this place, I do. But we waited for 30 minutes in line. Some of that was due to people not knowing what they wanted even though there are menus on the wall as you wait. But the wait staff designated where we sat because it was so packed. Also they have two new electronic Coca Cola machines… Those machines can get filthy and break so easy. All this chaos would be solved if they opened a location by Tech so the students could go there.

We have officially given up on Pei Wei. We’ve gone about 15 times and are always disappointed. The rice is dry and even stale on occasions. While the vegetables are fresh they are poorly cut and too large. What dressings or sauces there are are always off the mark – too sweet, too lemony. Their pork egg rolls are and exception and are very good, as is their Asian slaw. Their tofu is like cardboard. They can’t be bothered to get fresh tofu and lightly fry it to keep its shape. There are much better restaurants around if you want Asian food, such as nearby Hayashi, or the Peking House.

I didn’t realize they closed at 9 and walked in to order the food. This is fast Asian food. The service was good but the food was mediocre. The rice is hard and dry. Feels like the left over from last night. Something should have been used for Fried rice. It is ok if you can’t find anything else but I would go somewhere else.

Fine for take out, not great for staying and eating. Lubbock loves this place, so be warned that you might encounter a bit of a wait.

The food is crazy good, but the restaurant seating is tiny and cramped. They stopped enforcing the ‘don’t sit until you order’ so every bitchy person who feels too good to stand in line takes up a table. It is freaking annoying and I wish they would grow pair again and tell people to get out of the way!
