Also Aamco Transmission. BEWARE!!! Terrible customer service!!! Took my vehicle in for transmission problems. They had the vehicle for 2 weeks, & only flashed and reprogrammed the computer. And they said this was going to cost $ 351.00. They said that all my mounts needed to be replaced at $ 450.00, & couldn’t tell me anything else that was wrong with the transmission. After haggling with the «service manager» for 30 minutes about paying $ 351.00 for a service that the Ford service center would only charge $ 128.00, I had to wait an hour on the «owner» to get them to reduce the charge. I was finally able to pick up the vehicle and dropped it off at another repair shop, & they had it ready in 5 days. The transmission had to be rebuilt, but all of the mounts were in perfect condition, & did not need replacing. I will never take anything back to this shop again. Every time I called, the «service manager» was either busy, on a conference call, or unavailable in some other capacity. The person who answered the phone was unable to give me any updates, & said he was leaving messages for the «service manager», but no one would call me back. This was by far the most unpleasant experience I have ever had with a repair shop.

Liars, thieves and jerks to boot. Brought my vehicle to them to get it safety inspected. They did not know what was wrong, couldn’t fix it, fixed other stuff (it took them four days to fix a g-​damn parking brake), would not call me back. Finally got a hold of the woman in the front office, and she said, no, now it’s an axle – we thought it was the differential. This was a day after I said do only what you have to in order to have the car pass safety, and if you can’t get it to pass, don’t do it. Absolute thieves and liars. Stay away. I second the notion that these folks are really nice at first, but then most thieves are.

We broke down in the middle of nowhere west texas and got towed to bigham. It ended up costing us $ 10,000, yes, $ 10,000 and they weren’t even able to fix the car.
The car blew a headgasket which they were originally unable to diagnose. After telling us that the radiator was bad, which we had them replace, we made it about 5 miles down the road, and overheated and had to come back.
After further diagnosis more than 24 hours, they determined the head gasket was blown and the heads needed to be machined as well, we were given a quote of $ 5000. It took almost 4 weeks for them to finish, and they gave us a bill for $ 9000. We never once authorized more than $ 5000. And, best of all the car still overheated every time we drove more than 3 miles. In the process, they burned out the clutch and the stereo was stolen from the car.
I was in the Navy in Afghanistan and then Iraq at the time. I had to work for several years to pay it off and I still ended up having to replace the engine.
Crooks falls far short of what they are. They are just bad people doing bad business.

Stay away! These guys are real crooks. Really nice at the beginning but they’ll try to take you to the cleaners. I took my truck in and for a diagnostic cost me about $ 90 and they couldn’t even decide what exactly was wrong with my vehicle. Three possibilities later brought my estimate to nearly 1600 sans tax. No thanks.

I was in town visiting friends and relatives when I had a mechanical issue with my car. It was mid afternoon on Friday and needed to be back in Austin by Monday morning. I called a few places frantically trying to find someone that was even willing to take a look to see if it was even possible to fix it over the weekend. NO ONE would do it… UNTIL, a friend of mine that has lived in Lubbock his entire life recommended Bigham Auto. He was shocked I didn’t call them first. I didn’t know — I started with the dealerships (never again)
They were extremely helpful on the phone and guaranteed they would be able to take a look if I could bring it in right away. I made it there within minutes. Mr. Bigham personally took me to my friend’s house so I didn’t have to wait around. He offered a loaner vehicle but I felt it wasn’t necessary since my friends would be driving the entire weekend.
Within minutes of leaving the service manager called to inform me of the problem and said that he had a mechanic/​technician that would work on Saturday to finish the job. I was shocked and very thankful.
Mr. Bigham met me at the shop on Sunday afternoon to let me pick up my car so I could make it back to Austin in time.
Service like this is very hard to come by in a world of corporate mega stores and repair facilities. Thank you Bigham Auto for saving me from what could have been a painful and very expensive weekend.
