Best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had!!! For sure order them! It’s got some sort of chorizo red gravy and I promise you won’t be disappointed.(You can order it as a side to whatever deliciousness you were already planning on ordering!!) Oh! And the staff is usually super friendly and quick to seat you… Perfect brunch place after working night shift!

This was my first time at this location but I love Wild Eggs! I got the Tripin Chikin crêpe and I wish I had read more carefully… It was smothered in cheese and I was trying to be healthy as I was about to consume lots… I mean a few… sugary adult beverages at Churchill Downs.(I’m usually a biscuits and gravy girl). I scraped most of it off and it was pretty good. Our waitress was real nice. It was really busy and it didn’t take long to get a table for seven. My only complaint is that one of my favorite friends got a dirty coffee mug… Ew.

Love love love! Great service, great food. I had the Creole omelet with the grits of the day. They were pepper jack with chorizo. Excellent! It’s derby weekend and we were seated fast and service was outstanding, despite there being a crowd. Definitely one to return to.

This is a great place to eat. Employees are always friendly. The only draw back is waiting for a table but it’s worth the wait!

Wild Eggs is, in a word, FANTASTIC. We were told by someone that THEPLACE to go for breakfast in Louisville is Wild Eggs. Following that lead, we visited the one nearest where we live on a Saturday morning for breakfast. The word«fantastic» was exactly what it ended up being. The menu is large and varied, giving a spin on some old classics(chorizo biscuits and gravy!) as well as some very good original creations. The menu isn’t limited to breakfast, as they also have some lunch sandwiches. They’re not afraid of heat, if you’re inclined to order something on the spicy side. The restaurant is brightly colored, and everyone from the servers to the people busing the tables are in constant motion, keeping the customer flow(and the food) moving. A word of advice: Unless you get there early, be prepared for a wait. Their«time to be seated» estimates are usually pretty accurate, but expect about a 30 minute wait. Do yourself(and your tummy) a favor and visit Wild Eggs. Your tummy will love you for it.

No day is complete without starting it off with some Wild Eggs. Whether you’re meeting some friends and family for brunch or need to cure a hangover after a wild night out, Wild Eggs’ wide selection of breakfast/brunch/lunch foods will leave you satisfied. Pour me a Bloody Mary to go with my Eggs Bennie and nothing else can go wrong. Just make sure you keep in mind that the early bird gets the worm.

This joint was recommended by an Airbnb host in Louisville. I’m always in search of the perfect breakfast spot, but very few have impressed me. I would have never guessed this was a chain based on my overall experience as chains tend to be very much the same – mediocre service, bland food, and cliché décor. The food here was delicious and creative(creativity being something most breakfast joints lack), and the service was beyond excellent. The little things like the carafe of water and coffee left on the table, the servers all carrying a pepper grinder, and the server automatically bringing hot sauce and ketchup to the table made it feel a notch above most breakfast brunch establishments. I was very pleased with the eggs and mushrooms with garlic. I think this is the only place that knows how to cook scrambled eggs. Hint for all the wannabe breakfast hotspots – don’t overcook your eggs to the consistency of rubber. I’ll be back the next time I’m in the greater Louisville area or if Wild Eggs ever expands their business into Ohio. Kudos for an unexpectedly delicious breakfast experience!

I should’ve taken pics but I was so ready to dive into my food that the thought to do so escaped me. The food was DELICIOUS! Best breakfast I’ve had EVER! Now that I know about this place, I must revisit and this time with my kids. I had the creole omelette with Pico de Gallo grits. To die for! I also ordered a Big Stack of pancakes because I was hungry for it and I didn’t realize the order was so large. I barely put a dent in it. Price was well worth the food and service!

This place is always busy and there is always a long wait! Guess that means it’s good! My favorite is the mr potato head casserole. It’s mind blowing! It’s the epitome of comfort food! The service usually isn’t great but the food is what keeps us coming back. If you have some time to spare give this place a try. The menu is pretty fun!

Had pretty poor service today. The eggs were runny, bacon burnt, toast burnt, and the sliced fruit in the carafe of water still had the label on it which tells me they didn’t clean the fruit before cutting it. The half a Belgian waffle was good as usual though. The waiter immediately said their computer system was down when we arrived and stated that the kitchen was a mess so we’d have a long wait time, and then we heard another waiter announce the computer system was back up a couple of minutes after we sat down. This is the second time we’ve had food issues in the last month. Going to give it another shot and if that’s bad then we’ll move on to another breakfast place. Maybe the owners need to focus on still providing great food instead of too much on expansion plans.

How do I go to Wild Eggs at least once a month and NOT have a review up? I can’t tell you if I’ve ever had a bad meal here or bad service, there was maybe one time but the manager swooped in and fixed it before I could snap off a snarky tweet. That’s QUICK. I fell in love with this place when I was there having breakfast with my friend Erin and a woman was eating the olives out of someone else’s Bloody Mary; at another table. I don’t know what category of hot mess you have to be to do something like that but I am pretty sure that I keep going back to see if anything else that bizarre happens again. That’s up there with the time I saw the Amish in their buggy going through a drive-through. I am a huge fan of their breakfast burrito so I would naturally recommend that to anyone at breakfast but I recently tried their chorizo biscuits and gravy and was absolutely blown away. My dearly departed grandmother would order one pancake when took her out for breakfast and as a tradition, if I’m not pretending to diet, I’ll order one pancake. Get the pancake. Get the pancakes. I hear Darth Sidious in my mind, «WIPETHEMOUT, ALLOFTHEM,» and I obey. If they have a special pancake, try it. You can thank me(or send a mimosa to my table) later. They have daily grits specials but to be clear: I am a transplant and thoroughly a Yankee and a recovering expatriate. I have eaten grits standing on ceremony and out of politeness and good breeding: I do not like them. You cannot doctor an unacceptable texture. If that’s your thing though hit it with your best shot, fire away. I also like the potato casserole, their skillet potatoes, and the everything muffin. I’ve had the steak and eggs as well and it wasn’t bad. Their latkes are better than my Bubbe’s, which isn’t hard to do, but they’re as good as the latkes I remember in Germany as a child at Christmas markets. Their latkes, oddly enough, are what Christmas tastes like. If we are there closer to lunch I split my attention between Batman and Rueben(and it’s mos def allowed to call itself«Batman») and the Yard Bird. The Yard Bird has raisins in it and holds the honor of being the exception to my rule that raisins are Satan’s chocolate chips and the preferred snack of demons. And get the fries, don’t be basic, you’ll love them and you can share a few with the table if it makes you feel better. I don’t know how they’ve evaded the ordinance to have the Hot Brown on the menu but good for them, I’m over Hot Browns. Message me and we’ll go, it’ll be awkward, but I feel it is less awkward than eating by oneself.

Wild eggs is one of my favorite breakfast places! Every time I’m in Louisville(I’m from Cincinnati) I have to make a trip to a Wild Eggs. This specific location would be my favorite. It is clean, spacious, and lots of parking! The food is consistently good too! My personal favorite dish is the Crabby Patty Bennie, but the Kalamity Katie’s Border Benedict would be a close second. I would also highly recommend a pitcher of their fresh squeezed orange juice. Chances are anything you order is going to be delicious, so give Wild Eggs a shot if you haven’t already :)

After visiting the Breckenridge Ln location, we found this Westport Village location and I have to say that I definitely prefer it. The parking is a lot easier and surrounded by other awesome shops and restaurants. The service is always great and everyone is super friendly. We went with a party of 8& a baby and they were extremely accommodating. I recommend the Creole omelette with a side of the«grits of the day»(today it had bacon and cheese in them…). Everything was great though so you really can’t go wrong.

Four plus stars for delicious, well-plated food made from whole ingredients served with a smile in comfy-chic ambience. From Omelets to Benedicts to the Mr Potato Head, Wild Eggs has some eggstraordinary combinations for your breakfast/brunch enjoyment! The menu is chocked-full of inspired options to please the palate. Dishes arrived beautifully plated in generous portions with all the extra accoutrements one would expect – fresh, real butter, syrup, copious half and half with plenty of Splenda for my coffee. Perfect! Our server smiled and generously poured juice, coffee and water around our loud, rambunctious table and pretended that it was a pleasure to Serve such a hungry, rowdy bunch. More than I could ask for served with charm and grace in this cute, cozy café! I’ll be back for certain!

My family of 5 loved this place. We shared a cinnamon roll, served with crisp edges and wonderful cream cheese icing out of a cast iron skillet, along with a pitcher of fresh-squeezed OJ to start. Every dish was delish. The grits were spectacular. Highly recommend!

Wild Eggs might be one of the most popular breakfast/brunch places in Louisville and for good reason. I’ve been there somewhere between a half dozen and a dozen times and everything I’ve had is good. The service is also good, but be sure and get there early if you want to find a seat or not wait an hour. Honestly, the first 4 – 5 times I went there I simply got one of their omelets or made my own and they were good, but nothing fantastic or worth 5 stars. I went there because my friends wanted to and their fresh squeezed orange juice and everything muffins are delicious. Then I started branching out across the menu. I couldn’t make up my mind one day on items, so our waiter brought me two small portions of each. I fell in love. I usually stick to one thing, but I’ve now tried several of their other entrees and everything is so good. The stuffed french toast is delicious. The whipped cream that comes on it is so good and actually has a taste to it instead of just being fluff. The french toast itself is wonderful and you can really taste the egg they used to make it, which I love. Their omelets are good, but don’t knock my socks off. The Smokin’ Hash is good. Good peppers and onions in it, but it’s not one of my favorites. The Zax I Am Fried Eggs and… is your standard eggs, potatoes, side and muffin. One of my favorites is the breakfast nachos. Those things are like crack and they are absolutely delicious! I got mine with beef instead of chorizo or chicken. They are very good and have some spice to them also. I will get those again. Their Bloody Mary’s aren’t bad either. They aren’t overly spicy and I went with someone who doesn’t like spicy Bloody Mary’s and thought it was perfect for her. My biggest recommendation for Wild Eggs is don’t try to go at 10:30−11 on a Saturday or Sunday. You’ll have at least a 45 minute wait. Sometimes it’s over an hour. They’ll give you a beeper and you can walk all throughout the Westport Village though and shop while you wait at least. That’s not a bad option. I recommend going late or after noon though. If you go during their primetime and you’re in a small group of 2 or 3 people check the bar to see if there are some seats there. There usually are and you won’t have to wait forever for a seat. Because Wild Eggs is so popular they charge for it. The prices are a couple bucks more than I would like to pay for brunch, but it’s not bad and it’s worth it. This is a great place for brunch and I highly recommend going to Wild Eggs and getting half portions of all of their entrees until you go broke or die. Cheers.

Love them(I say them since I’ve been to 2 of their locations, both legit)! Probably my favorite breakfast spot thus far. It’s good to have a trusted spot for breakfast and this is for sure. Menu is awesome, options are awesome. Love the fact they give you a little pitcher of water and coffee pot, those 2 things had me sold on the place immediately. Well thought out!

It’s not just the eggs that are amazing! It’s all so, so good. If any of you have been to the Chicago land area and have been to this fabulous place called Egg Harbor up there then just know that Wild Eggs is its counterpart here in Louisville. If you’re not from Chicago then don’t even mind any of that jibber jabber that just came out of my mouth. My mom and I arrived around 10 am on a Sunday morning and it was jam-packed and everyone was practically smiling while eating their food… I could have sworn that I saw a few people’s eyes roll to the back of their heads, presumably because the food was just that good. Anyways, back to the point I was making, it was full but we did not have to wait all that long to be seated. The whole restaurant was quite airy and light — very welcoming as a good breakfast place should be. The service we received was very good — coffee was brought to us right away with cream(I of course had to ask for a lot more cream because I don’t drink coffee with cream and sugar but rather cream and sugar with some coffee) and our waitress was super attentive despite having many other customers as well. The coffee was actually very good too(it’s so necessary that coffee be good) and the menu was extensive, filled with so many tempting options! I was there a few weeks back and forgot to write the review right away(whoops!) so I can’t exactly remember all they had on their menu except that it all looked so tasty and if I had a infinitely expanding stomach I would have ordered it all(I hope that sways you into believing it’s amazing). I did get the Raspberry Lemon Oh My! Pancakes — O.M.G. No words could possibly describe how freakin’ mouth-watering it is. It’s a must. So you’re going there for breakfast this Saturday or Sunday morning right??? Remember, breakfast is the most important meal of the day so you better make it an über delicious one!
