When I moved from a house to a tiny downtown apartment my one regret was having to give up my personal washer and dryer and switch to a shared laundry room. Suddenly I found myself scrounging for quarters and devoting entire days out of my weekend to laundry. However, I am pleased to say that with the discovery of Van James 2^nd St. Coin Laundry’s Full Service Option my days of quarter scrounging and staring at the washer for hours on end are now over. For $ 1 a pound, which includes the cost of detergent and dryer sheets, Van James lets me drop off my laundry and pick it up a few hours later washed, dried, and neatly folded. Their customer service is excellent during drop off and pick up and the staff even makes an effort to remember me by my first name. Right now the business is cash only but I was told that they will soon be accepting credit cards as well.

The ppl that work here are so nice. The dryers work very quickly. $ 2 to wash .25÷5 min for the dryer. My clothes dried in 25 min.

We tried a couple laundromats in the area and ultimately decided we liked this one (although we didn’t like it so much that we didn’t later buy a washer & dryer for the home). This one has good machines ($ 2, $ 2.50 or $ 4 for washers, depending on size), full-​service drop-​off, friendly staff, sufficient baskets and surfaces for folding and moving your clothes, and free wireless. It’s also kept very clean.
Hi-​def televisions also entertain you with crappy programming. (Bring a book.) There’s also a dog wash next door.
