Under the Dryer Salon

I was lucky enough to find a Groupon for a cut, color and style with the hair artist Cassie. I called on a Wednesday and was able to make my appointment for the following Saturday morning. I walked in the hair salon and was immediately greeted. Cassie had me sit in her chair and we went right to work. She asked me what color I wanted to go with, what products I use on my hair, and how I wanted my hair cut. We decided on a dark copper brown hair color and to cut an inch or more off with layers. The entire hair process took about two hours. When I left I felt like a new woman absolutely loving my new do!!! I’ll will definitely go back to see Cassie with or without a Groupon.
I liked the laid back atmosphere, music playing through the room, and the upbeat fun staff. Fortunately parking was easy for me that, and day considering it’s located on Bardstown Rd. I was pumped.

Topher cut and colored my daughters hair a a very pretty combination of bright pinks and purples. He did overall a great job, and being that about 3 wks have passed, the color has held up well and evolved beautifully. That being said, the only complaint I would have is that we showed up at 3, and since I knew we were late for our appt with him, I made sure it was still ok for his schedule to take her and he said it definitely was, then took until SEVEN o’clock to finish her hair (four hours later) — the entire time I kept reminding him of the Halloween parade at 7 that we needed to get home for, and so by the time we got home it was really too late to go. Just took WAY too long but otherwise very good hair.

I have been using the original Moroccan Oil on my hair now for almost two weeks. I have already noticed a huge difference. My hair looks more healthy all around. It has less frizz and is more smooth. The BEST part is my drying time has almost been cut in half! That’s a big deal for me because I have thick long hair so every second counts when I get ready for work or a hot date! I would recommend this product for all styles of hair. I only use it every third day and this has work wonderfully with my hair! Thank you to Topher for recommending this product! I have also seen more products like this at Under the Dryer. So if your looking for something affordable and that will work stop in and grab a bottle while it’s still on their shelves!

This salon is badass! I love Fran and the whole crew. I love the whole atmosphere and how friendly all the other stylists are! Fran has been doing my hair for over ten years and always provides me with top notch service and ultimately cares about the integrity of my hair! I highly recommend this salon! You won’t be disappointed!

I am new to the area and was eating at the Uptown Café and seen a shop across the street that was open and advertising with no wait. So I googled the name for the number and found it on here. I called asking for pricing for me and my boyfriend but the lady was extremely rude, questioning me how I got the number even hanging up me!!! Then she calls back yelling in the phone that her number wasn’t listed and aggressively telling me I was lying then hung up on me again. I was trying to explain I got the number off of here but she never gave me a chance. I will never step foot in there.

Fran is the sweetest lady I’ve ever met! She listens to your needs, give suggestions/​recommendations and always delivers! I only go to her for my hair color. My first experienced trying different hair colors was with her and she was so confident and calming as I was nervous trying something different. She made me feel good about myself. The color and cut was exactly how I wanted it. And her prices are very reasonable.

This place is amazing! I’m frequently in the highlands and noticed the action before they opened. I have a very particular daughter who is super high maintenance about her hair so when I noticed they opened I called and was able to get right in with Ashley. Simply put she is incredible. Not only does she totally know her stuff but she took the time to really communicate with my daughter and give her a cut and style that met her wants and needs. Now besides the exceptional talent, and great personality of Ashley, this place is adorable. Super quaint and cozy without being too small or too much like a big box salon that seem to be all over Louisville. The prices are great and the fun atmosphere (they have old Ella Fitzgerald records spinning and epic fun décor) the staff is smiling and energetic. We will definitely be regulars here!
