When it comes to Ice Cream, I am a simple man. Cookies and creams is all I need. I went a little crazy and added chocolate fudge, whip cream and a cherry. Their ice cream is delicious! They have an extensive collection but not too much. They serve pie(on my list) and pie ice cream? Placing your order is a bit of a shit show. With the way it’s setup, I can’t think of a proper and orderly way to get that done. The workers were nice but lacked a little something. Didn’t take away from the experience. All in all, reasonable, delicious and great! The regular scoop is PLENTY of ice cream! Go check it out!

After a Sunday afternoon of having lunch, a massage, a haircut, and doing our weekly shopping my wife said«Do you feel like ice cream?» The only valid response to that is «Who DOESN’T feel like ice cream?!». Since we were about a half mile away, my wife suggested we try The Comfy Cow. As it turns out, this was a great choice… and it’s less than ½ mile from where we live. The inside is quaint and the décor is rather«country kitchen». The available items are written on what looks like slate boards in chalk. To me, that means that the flavors available are subject to change(and that’s not a complaint… who know what they’ll offer next?). The Comfy Cow has some very clever, very original flavors with cute names, and you can sample any of them. My wife opted for the Mint Chocolate Chippy, I had the Vermont Maple Walnut, made with real Vermont maple syrup… and it was fantastic. Big chunks of walnut and syrup in ice cream? DUDE… sign me up. (Side note: I think the maple syrup doesn’t freeze too well because it immediately started making its way down the side of my cone… but not to worry, because one of the nice girls behind the counter was quick to offer me a bowl). Like just about everywhere else, the Comfy Cow has a loyalty program, and it’s just about the easiest one you’ll ever sign up for. All you have to do is give them your phone number. Within seconds you get a text confirming your enrollment. I can see The Comfy Cow becoming a regular spot for us… and that is a bit of a dangerous thing. Not the bad kind of dangerous… the good kind. :)

Where have you been all my life Comfy Cow? In town for the Derby, we were looking for something sweet… this place hit the spot and then some. The ice cream is incredible… I had a flight of the Bourbon ball, salted caramel, and the brown butter brittle. All 3 were insanely delicious. Dessert made up for the sub-par dinner we had… thank you for making our night!

I can’t say enough good things about Comfy Cow! We started visiting a couple years ago, at another location, and can’t stop! The flavors change often and I have never gotten a «bad» flavor. So far, my favorite has been Simply Southern. SOOOOO good! We recently visited a World famous Ice Cream parlor in Savannah, GA. We waited in a line all the way out the door. To put surprise,(and DELIGHT!) The Comfy Cow was SOOOO much better. We will continue our family summer tradition!

I stopped in for ice cream after dinner with my Mom. I had the brown butter peanut brittle and she had the bourbon ice cream. We both got the chocolate dipped cones. Sooooo good!

This place is awesome! They have the best chocolate milk shakes! If you’re craving fun ice cream flavors this is the place to be. They’re always hopping.

This Comfy Cow location is WAY too close for comfort. Too close to Mint Chocolate Chip milkshakes. Too close to ginormous«single» sized scoops. Too close to reasonable person sized«kid» scoops. Too close to overly sweet flavors like Cake Batter and Ginger Snaps. Makes me uncomfytable.

I’m not a big sweets person, but comfy cow is my kryptonite. I would eat it everyday if my wallet and waste-line would allow it. It’s hard to say anything different that whats already been said. The cow is good. Simple as that. The cow falls into the category of: if you’re in town for 24 hours where would you go? Comfy Cow for sure.

This is definitely my very favorite location(Westport Village). Awesome staff, very clean location(and just as quirky and cool as the original), plus yummy ice cream = LOVE!!! I just joined the loyalty program, which is basically one point per dollar spent for rewards. Enjoy!

Ice cream nirvana. This is my go-to ice cream shop for my kids, visitors, friends, colleagues. I’ve yet to find a flavor that’s not delicious. And the specialty flavors are worth trying out… Doughnuts and coffee? Basil and strawberry? Yes, please! Sure, it’s not the cheapest, but it’s comparable to a pay by the ounce yogurt shop and way more yummy.

Droooooooool… I think I stepped into heaven! Baked goods, ice cream pies and lots of artisan ice creams. You should get the«flight» which is a paddle that holds three different ice creams, I got: salted caramel, The doctors orders and monstah cookie. The resees pb pie was also AMAZING! I don’t need to say anymore… Don’t walk, RUN and scream… scream for ice cream!

Waited 20 mins to order a ice cream cone… Totally worth it! I ordered the chocolate dip waffle cone with salted Carmel ice cream and it was amazing! Wish there were more locations but we have to drive 20 mins to get here. All the flavors it’s hard to pick just one… I’ll have to just go back for more!

I’ve been to the Frankfort Avenue location many times but we stopped in here tonight after dinner since it’s close to our neighborhood. This shop is just as delightful as the other. The same incredible flavors made with quality ingredients, and the same friendly and warm service. My husband and I shared half scoops of the Strawberry Fields Forever and Cookies in Cream — both were excellent. Before settling on our traditional picks though, I did try a taste of the Lavender Chocolate and was very tempted to go in that direction even though I don’t usually even like chocolate ice cream. Louisville is so lucky to have Comfy Cow.

I heart the Comfy Cow! This is the best ice cream around. It doesn’t get much better than thick, creamy, handcrafted ice cream. You can tell this ice cream is fresh. My favorite part about the Comfy Cow is all their creative flavors. The only problem is there are so many unique flavors, that I want to try them all! Guess I’ll have to visit Comfy Cow more frequently. The flavors I’ve had so far are: cookie dough, salted caramel, butter pecan, and the doctor’s cure. All are amazing, flavorful, and super thick. I can’t wait to try more. One tip… The single scoop(in a cup) is HUGE. I could definitely get by with a kids scoop. The kids cup looks tiny, but once I start eating ice cream, I quickly realize that a few bites satisfy my sweet tooth. Turns out, the kids scoop is actually the perfect portion for me.

This place is adorable! The décor is just as awesome as the ice cream! The only bummer is that my favorite flavor — Doctor’s Cure — is seasonal. However, Bonjour Toast and the many other creative flavors will make up for it! Everyone there was very sweet and helpful. This was my first time and they were more than happy to let me sample EVERYTHING and they were full of good suggestions. My one complaint — I ordered the Rin Tin Tin Sundae and they forgot to put the peanut butter sauce on it. :(

The Comfy Cow is so good it should be illegal. When I came down to Louisville and tried Graeter’s ice cream I thought that I’d tasted a little bit of heaven but then I tried the Comfy Cow tonight. To be fair, they are both phenomenally good and neither outweigh the other in how tastey they are. BUT! This cute little spot makes everywhere look so boring and ugh… the Comfy Cow had hanging lamps made of ice cream scoops and mis-matched, vintage looking furniture that looked adorable. Simply, it was just so cute in there. And the ice cream — don’t get me started… actually do because I’m sure that’s what you really want to know about. They had at least 20 different flavors of ice cream that were all so unique. I went with my mom and she got the peanut butter and jelly ice cream and I kid you not — it literally tasted like a PB&J sandwich in dairy form. You may wrinkle your nose but don’t because it was pretty delectable. I got the Banana Nana Fofana and it too tasted just like real bananas — I couldn’t get enough of it. It was super sweet and I had to savor it because of its authentic taste. I pretty much guarantee that they will have something that suits your pallet. And they have these specialty sundaes that I will most definitely going back for. It’s a great place to go to for a yummy little snack — treat yourself! It’s also moderately priced, but I don’t mind paying when I know that I’m paying for good quality ice cream. And you get the cute little atmosphere as well as good service. Finally — something pretty neat is that according to Buzzfeed this ice cream is rated second best in the world. How cool is that, yo?

I love the Comfy Cow! Tons of flavors to choose from, plus treats for Fido! The kids scoop is the perfect size to curb your sweet tooth, and it’s only $ 2.45 Hazelnut flavor that comes out every June is my all time favorite! I also enjoy Cinnomon Mon, Bourbon Ball and chocolate chip! If you haven’t tried Comfy Cow, you are seriously missing out!
