Hadn’t been here in a while and even though the staff is always changing, they are always very helpful and friendly. I like how they have now set up the store in a way that makes you want to go in instead of just stopping to get a tea sample by the door. They now have samples all around the store thus you are intrigued to go in just to see what other flavor samples they may have. I learned that you can also sample their honey! If you havent tried it yet, do it now! The white gold honey is delicous and if you are afraid of buying an entire jar, they offer individually packed ‘honey spoons’ which are super neat!

I have been to Teavana a few times now, and I was so frustrated I had to vent! The first few times I was there, my overall impression was that the tea was on the high side and the staff was terrible. Very, very slow and not too interested in helping customers. This experience led me to find other sources for my tea which I have been doing for about a year or so now. Today though, I was out of tea, had forgotten my former bad experience, and decided to stop at Teavana to replenish my supply. WOW– was that a mistake! Who owns this place? The staff if horrible. Spent more time talking and screwing around instead of helping customers, just like last time. Now I remember why I don’t come here. Gee– for those prices, you’d think the staff would be taught to jump at the chance to help as many customers as possible. It took 10 – 15 minutes to get 3oz of tea and there was only one other customer in the store and 3 employees! The clerk was distracted every 2 minutes and the other 2 just kept walking by. We wondered if they had been drinking some«special» tea of their own! She could not focus on the task at hand. I kept feeling like I needed to say«Here I am, right in front of you, remember me, you started my order 5 minutes ago?» Very frustrating. The owner must not care or this would not be tolerated. Tea is decent enough, but for the money, I will go back to my other sources and not darken Teavana’s door again!!!

Newest love. I know, it is a chain. I know, it is in Oxmoor Mall. But I can’t help myself! The scents alone suck me in. Every possible flavor of tea you could ever imagine is there, and then some. White, black, mate, rooibos, blooming, green, oolong. But don’t wait too long. There are some cons: 1. It is a bit on the pricey side though, especially when you buy the special«Teavana» tin to lengthen the tea’s shelf life. 2. Too many choices makes for a long decision, unless you know exactly what you want. Though the Teavana staff is über helpful. 3. You kinda have to get into tea for it to be worth it: a. buy an electric/stove kettle b. buy a teapot c. buy tin d. buy rock sugar e. buy tea f. …see what I mean? 4. It is always better when they make it. I don’t care if I follow the directions on preparing the tea to the T(get it?!). The samples always taste much better in the store. For coffee drinkers, try«My Morning Mate» and be sure to buy the rock sugar. The flavors just come out so much better. And I’ve found that in the KY, it is either sweet tea or sweet tea. *Editor’s note: the four out of five is due to the high cost, not the quality of the tea.
