The best part is pulling out of my driveway to see people lined up down the street and taking pics in front of the building. I suggest a weekday/night stop if you want to avoid the crowds. The food is amazing, I’ve yet to have something I didn’t like.

My husband and I were looking for something new on our anniversary and we gave Sweetie Pie’s a try… DELICIOUS!!! Not your typical anniversary dinner, but we were just looking for really good food at a really good price and Sweetie Pie’s delivered! Fried Chicken, Fried Catfish, Cornbread, Mac n Cheese, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes — 2HUGE dinners for less than $ 20! The owners/staff are super nice and accommodating. The service is great and the mood is casual/relaxed. It’s like sitting in your own kitchen at home(watching the big screen TV) but someone else does the cooking!!! If you’re hungry, like good food and nice people you should DEFINITELY give it a try! They also have grape Kool Aid on the menu… it doesn’t get any better than that!

This place is pretty good. I have driven by Sweetie Pie Soul Food a couple of times in the past week, and was curious about this new restaurant. I arrived a little after the restaurant’s closing time tonight, and their selections were limited, but what they had was tasty. Sweetie Pie’s is a tiny place with a steam table at the ordering counter and a counter around the perimeter where you can sit to eat your food. There is a big menu board that lists food selections that vary depending on the day. I ordered a smothered pork chop dinner tonight with cornbread and sides of macaroni and cheese and sweet potatoes. The smothered pork chop was great! It was a single thick-cut pork chop, very tender and flavorful. The cornbread was good too: moist and sweet. The mac & cheese and sweet potatoes were nice. The sweet potatoes were buttery and very moist. I really liked my meal, but found the price a little steep at $ 9.50 for a single pork chop. I will probably try Sweetie Pie’s again.
