Sun Tan City

I love this suntan city it is so close to my work. They also have really nice beds. I’m always in and out really quick as long as you get there before 5 o’clock. They also have great deals going on all the time.

Hate that they make you buy a membership to tan. Never have tanning specials without buying a membership

Can’t really go wrong with an establishment that has over 100 locations nationwide.
My gripes for this location:
–always slow, no matter what time of day it is
–some of the beds need to be replaced-​there is one bed in particular that you cannot feel the fan on you at all and you get extremely HOT! Doesn’t matter if its snowing outside-​you will overheat.
Otherwise the place is clean, easy parking, normal prices (they are always running specials).
The staff is friendly and helpful, just understaffed.
Side Note: all the Sun Tan Citys in the Louisville area changed their opening times on Sunday! I think they now open at 11AM.

Went in for the new VersaPro sunless tanner. I’ve been wanting to try a professional spray tan and they were having an introductory free trial! The girls were very friendly and helpful — even walked me out to my car with an umbrella afterwards to ensure my tan was not ruined in the rain. I was impressed with the service particularly because I was there for a free trial. So long as the tan delivers, I will definitely go back!

Shine Bright like a Instant Bed!
Sun Tan City is the best tanning chain in Louisville because of the many convenient locations, the constant tanning specials, the versatility of tanning beds, and the multiple tanning products. If you have never checked out the Sun Tan City website, it is a must, extremely helpful.
I have used the Sunless Tanning bed many times before weddings and major events that require that sun-​kissed look. After watching the information video on Sunless Tanning and placing lotion in all the right places I always get an even tan and minimal to no orange under color. Every time I use the sunless bed I have gotten many complements. People do tend to notice when I am tan because I am a very fair, lets be honest, pale skinned redhead.
Recently I was preparing to go on a week long cruise to Mexico. My trip turned out to be amazing partly because I had built up a great base tan to prevent me from getting burned. I worked with customer service at this location about the right bed, time frame, and product I needed to get the best tan possible. I only burned on my first visit because the bed was set 4 minutes longer then requested. To apologize I was given complimentary product lotion to minimize the burn and a free tanning session. Even though customer service reps recommended the instant bed, I decided I knew my skin better and just did the faster standup bed for my whole unlimited 30 day visit package. I also feel the stand up beds are a more even burn since you are not pressing your skin onto a glass area, but that is just my opinion.
Within three weeks I was more mocha then my coffee and tanning every other day to get the best look before my cruise. I never burned once in Mexico laying out and tromping around outside in the sun for hours. In addition my cruise pictures turned out great!
The next time I want to drink in mocha skin versus coffee I’ll be back!

I was convinced to do some tanning prior to going on a Caribbean vacation, and though I had been a lifelong skeptic about the wisdom of visiting a tanning salon, I have to admit that Sun Tan City won me over. I’m now the proud owner of a base tan, and hopefully will be able to enjoy my vacation in the sun with less fear of burning.
I found the staff very helpful in explaining my options, and which package would work for me. I visited the Bardstown location on multiple occassions, and never needed to wait more than a moment or two to be waited on. Check in is simple, and includes scanning a bar code, and then verifying my fingerprint. During my visits, the rooms were all clean and tidy, and provided ample room for me to change. My only wish would be for the music to be more easily audible in each of the rooms, but that’s a small point indeed.
The staff suggested that I consider some tanning products, and they were always informative and polite, and I never felt at all pressured by their suggestions.
Overall…good customer service, convenient location, and pleasant staff. I admit… my skepticism was won over.

Sun Tan City has a wide selection of beds and great starter packs. They are a little pricier then their competitors but their awesome customer service makes it worth the extra cash.
The customer service can be a little iffy… they like to take their time!
