I bought a strawberry and banana smoothie. The taste was fine but I did not know that they did not use actual fruit which was very odd, instead they use liquid flavoring from bottles. I defiantly suggest going to another smoothie bar that uses actual fruit, since that is what’s supposed to be a smoothie.

I love this Smoothie King. I go there nearly every weekday. The new owners(as of late 2015) are providing consistently excellent service, have spruced the facility up, and are selling a wider range of non-smoothie products(I love the new vegan cookies). The classic smoothie products are always good and prepared efficiently.

I was a little hesitant to go to this location after reading the reviews about the customer service but I went anyway as it is closest to my office. I was pleasantly surprised! The employee was extremely friendly and very patient when helping me choose the right smoothie. I picked the Island Impact smoothie and added strawberries, per her suggestion, and it was delicious. In terms of pricing, Smoothie King is somewhat pricey but if you are aware of this and don’t mind, then its definitely a good place to get your smoothie fix.

A smoothie place that won’t even let an 8 month pregnant woman/paying customer use their restroom. What rude staff. I absolutely will NOT ever be back here again.

Just went to get a smoothie and the guy says the credit card machine is down, but when I come back to pay with cash, a new customer in line is getting a smoothie and a red bull and he tells her she doesn’t have to pay because the credit card machine is broken when he thinks I’m not listening. You need to get better employees. I will not be back. 11:26am. 4÷25÷15

I ordered a small apple kale smoothie, for which I paid approximately $ 6.50. It tasted remarkably like stomach acid. No whole foods were used to make the smoothie, just a terrifying blend of powders and liquids from squirt bottles.

Every time I go into this location the employees are rude. As someone who works in the food industry, I realize that 50% of the experience is how you reflect on customers. Be friendly and smile! I don’t know how you expect to get any tips when you aren’t nice and act like the customers are a burden on you. If this was my business I would be really worried about how my employees are effecting my sales.

This place regularly orders food delivered and stiffs the delivery driver. I won’t be spending my money her any longer and encourage my friends to not do so either.

Dear Smoothie King, 9 bucks for a kids size + a ‘small’ smoothie? You’ve got to be kidding me. How about making your gigantic ‘small’ smoothie fit the description and offer it to me at half the price. OR, make it WORTH the price by… no. I take that back. No small drink is worth 5+ buck without alcohol or service at Jack Rabbit Slims. You know you’re essentially feeding me smooshed fruit, right? Never again. I understand you are positioning yourself at that über-trendy Breckenridge/Shelbyville/Frankfort Ave location vying for an upscale crowd. I hope that works out for you. THIS girl is going to take her money elsewhere. Like Sonic, which offers the same drive-thru service, a wider variety of drinks(and food) and a price to match Sincerely, A One-Night Smoothie King Stand

Jamba Juice’s closest locations are in Illinois and my hometown is waaaay behind the smoothie curve. UPDATE4÷13÷2013: Jamba Juice is in downtown Louisville, long live real fruit smoothies! As such, Smoothie King is your only option when your cells cry out for some antioxidant berry love. Youthful staff can be surly & obstinately unknowledgeable about what’s in the protein powder as such. When I really am not looking to make my own, Smoothie King sometimes gets me there.
