Alright, folks — it’s my first time at this establishment. Never heard of it: Is this an original Louisville chain store? I pulled into the drive-thru, and minutes later pulled away with a piping hot box combo: 4 breaded chicken tenders, crinkle fries, dipping sauce, Texas toast, coleslaw, and a sweet iced tea, all for less than $ 8 = what a great deal, and it was more food than I was expecting! What’s not to love about hot, tasty, moist, flavorful fried chicken tenders? Especially if you add a serving of crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, perfectly salted skinny crinkle French fries, with their AMAZING dipping sauce, and a chunk of buttered Texas Toast? I’ll admit: I had a tiny bite of their tasty tangy coleslaw, but I ended up tossing it because I had to make room for the rest of it. Holy moly! The sweet iced tea was waaaaaayyyyy too sweet, folks — even for this southern girl. I’d recommend asking for half and half, if you like sweet tea. This food reminds me of a place we had in Tallahassee, Florida called Guthries, with a similar combo called«The Gut Box.» Enjoy! I will most definitely be back!

This was my 2nd time eating at Canes. Took myself and 3 kids on Spring Break. Have to admit pretty genius concept and they have to making bank by only serving chicken fingers fries and bread. Sweet tea was YUM. Staff we’re very friendly. Nice to have manager walk past table and ask if we needed anything good customer service. The kids didn’t like the Canes sauce def need more sauce options but all and all we enjoyed ourselves

Louisville has both raising cane’s and zaxby’s. My friend says zaxby’s is better, but I have to wholeheartedly disagree. Chicken to chicken, raising cane’s is larger, juicer, crispier, and overall more flavorful. Fries to fries, same thing. Sauce to sauce, story remains the same. Despite having said that, there’s a chick fil a right across the street. I like that chicken even more!!!

I love this place. The chicken is amazing and Cane Sauce is out of this world. It’s great on everything. They cook all the food hot for each person. It’s the best chicken ever.

Goofy local chicken fast food place. All they do is chicken, so don’t come looking for anything else. In fact, All the meals are chicken fingers — even the sandwiches. The chicken is tasty and I love the crinkle fries. The Texas toast is good too. They always make the food fresh so expect to wait longer than somewhere like chick fil a. Decent tea also. My husband is obsessed and eats here at least once a week.

My family visited Raising Canes last night on the suggestion of my kids. They had been with my parents and approved of the chicken tenders. The sign out front reads«Raising Canes Chicken Tenders» and they aren’t joking — it’s 90% of the available menu. Besides the sides, the 4 Combo meals differ only by the number of tenders. Even the chicken sandwich is(3) tenders on bread! A combo meal ranges between $ 7 – 9 and includes a drink. Kids meals are closer to $ 5. For two adults, two kids, we spent approximately $ 27. I got the combo meal with(3) tenders. It came with«crinkle» fries, Texas Toast and Canes sauce. I substituted my toast for coleslaw; however, I wouldn’t recommend it. The coleslaw is crunchy but has an odd aftertaste. The toast is thick, fluffy and buttery. Fries were also good but cold. The Canes sauce is their version of BBQ(they said) but I think it tastes more peppery. I also tried the honey mustard sauce — good but had the same aftertaste as the coleslaw. The décor itself suffers from an identity crisis. On the ceiling is a disco ball, the walls have movie posters, the serving papers showcase a bulldog and a few TVs sit around the restaurant and in the bathroom. It’s like a fast food place that is trying to be a sports pub with a disco ball … whaaat? I couldn’t figure it out but it was fun to speculate with my kids over the possible theme. One thing I’d like to see done better is the clean-up of the restaurant. Several tables were dirty with crumbs or grease, even on the seats. I watched a few families having to clean their tables before sitting down with their food.

Has two choices. Chicken Fingers and a chicken sandwich. No variety. Was quite shocked really at the menu. My 17 year old Loved the sweet tea. Industrial look décor. Tv’s. Drive thru. Average price for a fast food. Decent breading on the tenders. Buttered toast served and was awesome.

Chicken tenders, fries, slaw, Texas toast, and Cane’s sauce. Your only options are how many chicken tenders, and what to drink. That being said, the food is amazing for what it is. I am fairly certain their sauce is illegal because the stuff is addicting! Don’t order expecting the best meal of your life, but if you are craving chicken, Cane’s will scratch that itch.

The first time I went to Canes, I thought, seriously? just one thing they sell? But I must say the chicken is excellent and the sauce is what makes it. I always get the three-piece. They make fresh lemonade every day and I mix it with unsweet tea. Food quality is always high and there’s always plenty of staff to wait on you. The place is always very clean. They are in the lobby constantly cleaning up.

If you’re looking for variety… turn around. But if you’ve been having dreams of chicken fingers dancing in your head, then you’ve hit the jackpot! The menu basically consists of chicken finger meals based on how many of them you want, and then a sandwich that is comprised of… you guessed it… chicken fingers! The meals come with fries, slaw, and a giant, amazing piece of Texas toast. The fries are nothing special, but the chicken makes up for it. Its breaded the appropriate amount, incredibly juicy, and large in size. With the chicken comes Canes Sauce. Its a mayo/Worcestershire/pepper based sauce that pairs great with the chicken and really sets itself apart from other sauces. They also make their own fresh squeezed lemonade! And their sweet tea is true southern style and you can buy it in 1 gallon jugs if you choose to do so.

They are always consistent. Food always good. Staff always pleasant. Slow, Slow, Slow. Every time. Takes an easy 10−15min at the drive thur. With or without people ahead of you.

Food is great awesome chicken every time. But the service is not good some of the workers are very rude and not helpful. With so many places close to them they should do a better job with that.

I have had canes a few times before but this is my first review. I agree that it’s a little over priced. My family of 5 usually cost between $ 35-$ 40 dollars. The chicken fingers are generally good and so is the Texas toast. Let’s get to the fries… Gotta say pretty bad. Taste worse than the frozen kind you get at the local krogers. I would think that a place with basically 5 menu items, the fries would be «out of this world good“but alas… No. My suggestion to ownership find a better fry and you may have something here.

You’ll find it a bit more costly than most fast food places and it takes more time for food — but that’s because everything is cooked fresh and the chicken is quality. Their fare isn’t frozen chunks of battered chicken like most fast food places. Also, the tea is excellent. It’s a silly kitschy place where they’ll ask you funny questions when you pull into the drive thru. Their mascot is the owner’s dog. If you don’t want chicken, you definitely shouldn’t stop here. However, It’s worth stopping in if you appreciate quality chicken.

I only stopped by here earlier last week because my kids wanted chicken strips. To be perfectly honest, «Smells can be deceiving!» This place smells really good when you drive up but the chicken is a bit bland. I think the strips are pretty good for kids but not flavor thriving adults such as myself! The one nice thing I really would say is that the«texas toast» is kind of good. Other than that – I’ll stick to making my own at home or if I have another night where I do not want to cook I’ll probably head to Zaxby’s or Chick-Fil-A.

Our first visit to this restaurant was not a good one. The tables looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned all day, the drink/condiment area was very dirty and the ketchup dispenser was empty. The prices seemed high but we assumed the chicken fingers must be huge… they aren’t. In fairness, the chicken was tender and tasty and the fries were great. The layout of the restaurant kept people bumping into each other and was difficult to navigate for order pickup, drinks and condiments. We will probably not be back and certainly won’t go out of our way to eat here again, especially with Chick-Fil-A right across the street.

Raising Canes is definitely a better-than-average«fast» food joint in my book. You won’t find a dollar menu available, but your food is made fresh. Plus, the texas toast is simply delicous — such a soft and thick slice of bread! I was rather puzzled when I saw the menu and your only choice is chicken tenders. I got the three chicken tender box that included crinkle fries and a large slice of texas toast. My chicken tenders were hot, juicy, and fresh. Fries were good, but Zaxby’s is definitely better with the seasoning and larger-cut fries. Did I mention how great the bread is? Pretty great. The cost for my meal was about $ 8. This establishment is clean and the cashiers were kind. This is my first trip to Kentucky, so I definitely wanted to try Canes out and I have no regrets. I still think they should expand the menu out because I miss my Zaxby’s Wings and Things. Also, they don’t have ranch here, which was a downside.

Not sure what the big deal is about Canes. It was mehw. I’d go to chick-fila which is right across the street if I want fast food chicken. Pretty simple menu. I will give them a thumbs up on crushed ice.

LOVERAISINGCANES! We don’t have one where I live and miss it a lot as a place I used to frequent in college. After 7 years, it was just as I remembered it… juicy chicken strips, delicious sauce(cane sauce) and tasty fries. My only complaint is that pretty much all the tables in the entire restaurant were dirty and had not been wiped down from what was most likely a lunch rush.

Never going back. MGMT obviously doesnt care how long people have to wait for their«fast food». I’m tired of waiting 10 min with nobody ahead of me in the drive through. You can get an oil change in the time it takes to get your food. Ridiculous.

4 stars if you want really good chicken fingers. 1 star if you don’t want chicken fingers because that is all they serve. Okay, they have a few side dishes but your main choice is just how many chicken fingers you want. Prices are decent. With tax, a 3 chicken finger basket with fries, «raising cane» dipping sauce similar to a smooth thousand island, texas toast and a fountain drink was $ 6.88. The sides of fries, toast or coleslaw can be subbed out for each other with no charge. I subbed cole slaw. The chicken fingers were very good– moist, just the right amount of breading, not greasy and hot and fresh. A little smaller than I expected them to be. Fries were thin crinkle cut style with a decent amount of salt and also cooked hot. Slaw was standard creamy slaw. The place is brand new so of course it is clean and modern. Staff was pleasant at the counter. Complaints are that the parking lot is small and a little awkward and once the strip shopping center next store(under construction currently) is completed and leased out, the lot will likely be annoyingly crowded. The floor was clean but the tiles were very slick and slippery. A little rain or snow outside and they’re going to be like an ice skating rink. I would also have preferred other choices of dipping sauce– the special sauce was really tasty but since their menu has minimal variety, if they want regular return business, it seems like other flavors would really add something(aka BBQ, honey mustard, ranch etc)
