Planet Fitness – Louisville – Jefferson Boulevard

This planet fitness is closest to my house and I love the staff and the convenience. They have a wide variety of fitness equipment, but not much in terms of free weights. To be honest, whenever I come on my lifting days, I have to fight for a bench press… and I do not like that. However, this gym is affordable and I have been a loyal customer for over two years. I lost over sixty pounds since I joined, and I will not go to another gym until I move. The staff is so friendly. Each morning I come in, they greet me with a smile. I have had staff members remember my name. They will tell you happy birthday on your birthday, too!
There are two or three guys that routinely check the fitness equipment, and most of it runs pretty well. I have had a treadmill or two spazz out on me occasionally, but other than that, things go smoothly. The hydromassage is pretty cool! If you are wanting to try something relaxing after a workout, I would recommend it. They also have tanning, all-​over body enhancement, free fitness coaching classes, and a massage chair where you can sit and watch tv. Don’t forget about bagel and pizza days! Personally, I’m not a fan of either, but to each his own. One important thing I will say about this gym is that you should be very wary of where you leave your things. Security is an issue. A woman had her car broken into last year because someone had watched her store her belongings in her trunk. I also had a friend just last week that had the lock cut off of his locker and his wallet and phone were stolen. So please keep your belongings close!

So, the gym just told me that I was turned over to collections because they had trouble getting money out of my account for my membership. Why am I just now hearing about this? Do they not have the decency to call me and say, «Hey, your account is overdue can you come pay it? «and there was something about owing $ 238?! Uh uh, honey. I have only been there 3 months I should owe no more than $ 60. Tomorrow I am cancelling my membership with Planet Fitness and I don’t plan on ever getting a membership with them again. Be warned guys, you will be fined for the incompetency of their employees, there is a reason that their Unilocal review is so terrible.

These gyms are a joke. Crappy equipment. Here’s the biggest problem with this place and all the ones around town. Once a week they come around and pass out pizza to everyone. There is always doughnuts for people to eat and candy/​tootsie rolls everywhere. What kind of gym does this? Utterly ridiculous to me. That’s the whole point of a gym is to get rid of crap like that and you are throwing it in the faces of these people trying to make a difference in there lives. Shame on you Planet Fitness. That’s why your memberships are dropping like flys. Because you are one big joke of a gym.

Great gym. I joined to get back in shape.
It cost me $ 44 to join, which you pay once a year. Only $ 10 a month.
Only knock is that the muscle dudes hog all the weights. They spend ¹⁄₃ their time lifting, ¹⁄₃ their time comparing their small penis size and ¹⁄₃ texting on their phones.
They have hundreds of cardio machines which I love. You can also shower here. Great gym with affordable prices.

Planet fitness is the definition of false advertising. No commitment, cancel anytime? Sure you can cancel but you still have to pay. We just cancelled because we moved and we had to pay $ 58 dollars to cancel. DO NOT TRUST THESE CROOKS! They lie through their teeth to get your money. If I could give zero stars I would.
