My wife and I recently visited Penn Station Subs for the first time. We were looking for something different so made our way there on a hot Saturday afternoon. Besides, it had been a while since I had a good Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. I was looking for AWESOME. I didn’t get AWESOME. Like many previous reviews, the floor was kind of sticky, and it could have used a broom and a mop. ALL of the tables were dirty. ALL. We had to clean off a table in order to sit down and eat. The staff was busy behind the counter doing something close to nothing, and we seemed to interrupt that nothingness when we decided to have lunch there. After having our order taken(by a person who held their cell phone in their hand the entire time, and even glanced at it a time or two during the process), we sat down at the previously-mentioned self-cleaned table to wait for our food. The food delivery time wasn’t too bad, and the food was delivered fresh and hot. The food was delivered exactly as we ordered, so it had that going for it. For my taste, I wasn’t crazy about the pizza sauce, the mayonnaise, and the hot brown mustard that came on the Philly Cheesesteak. Note to self: Order the sandwich without those next time. The fries were exceptional, and were the high point of the meal. Our first visit to Penn Station was very… mediocre, the food definitely being the high point of the visit. I can definitely see where Penn Station could be awesome; they just need to rely on more than the food to sell the product. Giving them 3 stars and the benefit of a doubt.

Unfortunately it took 25 minutes to receive my two sandwich order. It’s just as slow as a sit down restaurant

It is Penn Station. What’s not to like? The guys and gals working here are nice and do a good job. On our last visit we ordered a medium fries and my daughter’s sandwich to go. They gave us medium fries then dumped like a billion more in her bag. The kid was over the moon happy.(especially since she knows mom is totally going to steal fries from the bag on the drive home!!) The guy putting the fries in the bag just smiled and winked which was super cute. I like this one because it is not always packed and they do a good job.

First and foremost, the food is solid. Nothing fancy, but hey, it’s Penn Station, not Corbett’s. The service is(usually) a little slow, at least in terms of getting the food, but usually I’ve blamed that on the fact that I ordered fries. I will say that I’ve noticed the floors being sticky half the time I walk in; not a deal breaker, but definitely not… pleasant. Anyway, I like the place, particularly when I want a good sub and good fries quick.

Some of the slowest and worst service I have seen in awhile from a Penn station. There were 4 people working and I was the only guy there. It still took 10 mins for them to take my order and 20 mins for them to get my order to me. Rough.

I’ve been here 3 times already. Service is good every time! Everything is clean! It doesn’t matter if they close at 10 and you come in for a to go order at 9:35. They still offer great service!

Good food. What the hell is all over the floor? It’s sticky, greasy and black. You can see the trails of whatever it is on the sidewalk just outside the doors. Nasty. It gets all over your shoes too. They’re going to need something industrial strength to clean it up.
