Happy Birthday! What an amazing night from start to finish! Have to say, I’ve heard nothing but good things from this place and they def lived up to their reputation. The food was amazing, but I’d have to say the service was exceptional! Our waiter(John & Chris?) did an amazing job! He delt with 9 loud, crazy girls on a Saturday night while the UK game was on. We sat out on the screened in patio with a lovely fireplace. Great wine, cocktails, appetizers, entrees and desserts! Once again our waiter never missed a beat with ordering or handing out checks. If I could have found a manager to let them know what an amazing job he did I would have. Mesh def won us over and I would love to take another group or date night back here again soon. Great job Mesh!

Lovely space, pretty darn fancy. Bartender was nice, he made a great Old Fashioned; I would avoid the $ 12 cocktails(!) from the cocktail menu as I was not impressed with the one I had. Similarly, I was underwhelmed with the Steak Frites, the streak was very chewy. My lunch companion had steak frites and he said his was chewy as well(medium rare, mine was medium). I plan on going again as there where a lot of other menu items I was interested in.

The service here is always fantastic and I love the lobster bisque! They offer half price bottles of wine on Mondays and have a beautiful patio.

I’ve been to Mesh twice now(once for lunch and once for dinner) and I enjoyed it both times. Most recently I went on a Monday night and it was really busy. I’m glad we had a reservation! The inside appears kind of chain-like but it also seems to fit the area of town it is located in. The place is large with a big bar area in the middle of the restaurant. Actually, Coach Pitino was at the bar when we arrived(which has nothing to do with this review). Mesh has a great wine, cocktail and fairly good beer list. Monday’s feature half price wine which is nice if you are into wine(I’m not a big wine drinker). We ordered two appetizers: a charcuterie plate with two cheeses and one meet and the mushroom strudel. Both were delicious and came out fairly quickly despite the filled restaurant. The only problem was that we got full off of the two appetizers so we didn’t order dinner. I’d like to return and try the entrees which all looked fantastic on the menu. The meal I had when I came for lunch is no longer on the menu so I won’t review that. Mesh is pricey. The entrees range from $ 18-$ 40 so if you pair that with an appetizer/salad and drinks, you can drop a pretty penny on dinner. It seems like a good choice for a upscale date night or special occasion!

The wife and I came here Monday of Christmas week to celebrate the holiday. We were glad we made a reservation, because the place was packed. This is part of a chain, but they did a wonderful job of remodeling and updating the old Azalea building. The restaurant and bar area are simply beautiful. We ordered the mushroom strudel appetizer and a charcuterie plate. Both were outstanding. The strudel was rich and creamy and full of fresh mushrooms. I highly recommend it. The meat and cheese board was also excellent, and we appreciated the use of local Blue Dog bread. Unfortunately, we didn’t arrive that hungry and were full after those two apps, so we didn’t try any entrees. But they all looked delicious. Most are in the $ 22-$ 30 range, so it’s not cheap. But the service was very fast and attentive and the beer list was well done. We eagerly look forward to coming back soon and trying much more of the menu.

After hearing much about Mesh, I finally made the trek there this week. I can only wonder what took me so long to check it out! From the looks of it, Mesh is a place for all seasons. A sizable patio allows for enjoying the outdoors when the weather is nice, and an inviting indoor space encourages you to gather with friends when it’s cooler. I sidled up to the bar to meet a friend, where we waited until our table was ready. The ambiance was perfect for a cool winter evening: open kitchen providing a steady background soundtrack that was accompanied by the undulating murmur of conversation and the staccato clinking of cutlery on dinnerware. The restaurant is very open, but the lighting indoors is low enough to make it feel intimate rather than cavernous. Service was spot on, and I enjoyed my server’s recommendation of the salmon cooked medium. Everything tasted fresh, with a perfect amount of flavor on the Brussels sprouts under my salmon filet, also accompanied by butternut squash. «This is phenomenal, by the way!» I commented to my server when she came by to refill our wine glasses. If you’re a white fan, I recommend that you try a glass of Gruner Weltliner while you’re at Mesh — it’s a fantastic white that I recommend you familiarize yourself with if you do t know it already. The label that Mesh carries is particularly palatable. The experience was so enjoyable that my friend and I stayed until closing time. I can’t wait to check back and see what Mesh has to offer again sometime soon!

We had a nice dinner here tonight with my brother and sister-in-law. The building is beautiful — modern but warm. It’s also well laid out as the parking lot was packed but it didn’t feel crowded. The food was great. We shared the Blue Dog bread basket and lamb meatballs for an appetizer. The bread was great and I loved the polenta and ricotta that came with the meatballs. I had the ham and pear panini fir dinner and it was incredibly flavorful. My brother had the ribeye, my sister-in-law had the pasta with chicken and my husband had the Ruben. They were all happy with their meals, too. They gave us free desert because it was my brother’s birthday and we shared the apple cake. It was probably my favorite part of the meal! It was excellent. The service was also great!

4.5 Louisville, these reviews make me fear that you’re missing the boat on this one. Mesh offers up some fantastic food without the song & dance of getting said food. Add this to the location and you have all the ingredients for some excellent eating in the ‘ville. I came to Mesh in need of a birthday meal to knock the guest of honor’s socks off. From the moment we arrived(a bit earlier than I usually eat but reservations on a Friday night were hard to come by), I knew we’d made the right choice. There was a brief kerfluffle at the hostess station but it was soon(and, easily) resolved. Once we sat(in the main dining room), our waiter arrived and began to take tip-top care of us. Marshall was attentive, knowledgeable and went to lengths to ensure that the birthday celebration was a good one. As I am want to do, I began the meal with a cocktail. Despite not being much for juniper, I was persuaded to try the retro gin & juice. Snoop would have been proud. Rather than an herbal mess, this concoction was an expert blend of savory & sweet. It was the kind of cocktail you want to sip so as to fully enjoy and appreciate the flavor. I’d order it again. Since I was already going retro, I paired my cocktail with the wedge salad. Don’t give me that look! Wedge salads are coming back and Mesh has a great one. The hunk of iceberg lettuce was generously bathed in tomatoes, onions, blue cheese dressing, and croutons. It’s what you imagine it is but it tastes better than you remember. Choosing to fully commit to my American Hustle-inspired meal, I went with the pork chop for my main. . This is not your mother’s slightly burned and dry chop. This chop was juicy, glazed with maple-bourbon, paired with a creamed-kale spaetzle(say what?), accompanied by an apple slaw(pork and apple always goes together), and accented by a carrot-ginger smear. I tried my best to get all the flavors in my mouth at once(after tasting them all separately at first) to fully understand the chef’s vision — and what a vision. I don’t eat a lot of pork these days but I don’t know that I would order anything but the chop at Mesh. It was divine. It was also large enough to feed three people. I have a huge appetite and a compulsive need to clean my plate(even when I am full). This chop almost felled me. To go with my pork, I settled on a Kentucky brewery. I’d never had West 6th beer before but I am a new fan. The Lemongrass Wheat was the perfect pairing to my plate. After eating all this food, you might think that I was finished. Don’t you know me by now? Plus, it’s a birthday. I had to get cake. Or, rather, terrine; I had to get the terrine. And, so do you. The double chocolate stout terrine is a chocolate lover’s dream. Imagine a slab of double chocolate stout brownie, chocolate mousse, chocolate sauce, peanuts, and crystalized ginger. It was worth the sugar coma. I’d do it again. I’d do it all again. And you should do it soon, Louisville. Be happy that Mesh is in your midst. Treat yourself.

Going by just the food alone, I give this place 3 stars, but the restaurant’s décor and service deserve 4 stars. I had the garganelli, which might not have been the best thing to order here. My friends seemed to enjoy their food, so maybe I’ll try something else next time and change my opinion of the food. Based on just the pasta I had though, I wasn’t super impressed. The pasta came out super dry and looked like it had sat on a table for quite some time after plating. It wasn’t very flavorful and was overall pretty forgettable :/ Howeverrrr our waitress was awesome! She was so friendly, bubbly, and hilarious. Her, plus the cozy feel of the restaurant, bump my rating of Mesh up to a 4. I’ll be back to try Mesh again in the future. I’m actually pretty sure I’ll enjoy the food more next time. Serves me right for not consulting Unilocal before making my order :(

We went for my boyfriends birthday dinner. For such a chic restaurant the food portions were amazing. exceeded expectations. I was expecting to see small plates but we left full. They even comp’d the dessert for the birthday. A little pricey, but worth it for the quality, quantity and the experience. Go ahead and call ahead, they do reservations, but if you want patio seating, you must specify.

I had the white cheddar burger-cooked to medium. It comes with sweet potato chips, but for 2 bucks more you can get fries or fruit. It was a nice compromise between a $ 7 salad and a $ 32 red snapper. The burger was delicious and juicy, and it helped that they cooked it perfectly! The ambiance was nice, and I liked that it was pretty clean lines and neutral colors. It could verge on tacky, depending on how many wealthy blue hairs fill up the place. It was fairly empty when I went in at 445. The soup of the day isn’t announced until 5, according to my server, so I was a little annoyed by that because I probably would have ordered it. If I were the server I would have offered to try to find out a little early to accommodate my customer.

I went here for brunch on a Sunday for my birthday. I was surprised that there were not more customers. This place was striking. The tables were beautifully set and by the kitchen you could see them set the plates for serving which was interesting to see. The food was just as good. Some friends shared their Monkey Bread and Biscuits which were light and. Delicious. Then I had the Pork Chilaquiles. If I could eat this every day for breakfast, I would be so happy.

I was very impressed with the attentive service and the upscale décor; however, the food did not live up to my expectations. The caesar salad was typical, nothing special. My friend and I both had the steak frites ordered medium. Her steak was prepared as ordered but mine was very overcooked. I should have sent it back but I did not as I didn’t want to inconvenience and delay the others in our group. I’m really surprised that our server didn’t notice the obvious difference in the two steaks. The fries are very good. Others in our group raved about the pork chop and the lamb sausage special.

Celebrated my birthday w/family here last night. Staff was attentive, chic décor, cool atmosphere, and most importantly, food was fabulous! Fresh, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. We started with Blue Dog Bakery bread baskets, Lamb Meatballs, and a Prosciutto and cheese board. Entrees selected were diver scallops, filet mignon, crab cakes, pork chop, and stuffed chicken. The portions were above average in size, perfectly seasoned and prepared. This was my second time dining at Mesh and the first for my 7 guests. Great dining experience for all.

I met some friends here on Sunday for brunch. We really just wanted to try the place out, but to our pleasant surprise they have a brunch menu! Which seems to be currently a well-kept secret, as it was not busy at all.(Take note! If you want brunch on Sunday at post-church time, with no wait…) Our server was on top of things but not on top of us. We started off with the BLT Deviled Eggs and Peach Bellinis. The drinks were pretty and delicious. I had the pork chilaquiles and they were delicious! I tried a bite of my friend’s crab cake eggs benedict… and I think I might have to go with that next time! So much crab in the crab cakes. The prices aren’t terribly high. And they had great music playing… something mentioned by both my friends :-) I will definitely be back.

I was immediately struck by how chic yet welcoming Mesh is. And the food and service heightened that initial excitement. Really, both of my visits to Mesh have been five stars all around. I’ll start with my first visit, which was about a month ago. I was in the area and hungry for lunch but not quite sure where to go. I consulted the Unilocal app — ya know, as ya do — and came across the mushroom and goat cheese strudel on Mesh’s lunch menu. The strudel is made with soubise onion sauce, creamed kale, carrot vinaigrette and almonds. It was intriguing, to be sure. So I did a U-ey on Brownsboro Road and caught the tail end of the lunch hour at Mesh. The restaurant was mostly cleared out by this point, and I was shown to a table in the fabulous dining room. And the strudel did not disappoint. It was really unlike any strudel I have ever had. It’s somewhat hard to explain it, but this strudel was like mushroom and goat cheese baked into a thick, oval hockey puck of flaky goodness.(See what I mean about being hard to describe? Check out my pics for a better idea.) It was the right amount of filling for a lunch. It was flavorful and a fun mix of textures. Plus, may I say, it’s so satisfying to take your fork and break into something flaky to find something somewhat gooey inside. I also got the bread basket on the side. Please note: You pay $ 5 extra for the bread; it’s baked Blue Dog Bakery bread and is delicious with the olive oil and butter. But when you’re asked if you want a bread basket and you say yes, this will show up on your bill. And this is not reflected on the lunch menu, or at least not on the menu I received. On my most recent visit today, I got to sit on the expansive outdoor patio. Wow, is this a treasure on a mild summer or spring day. There is an outdoor bar and a fire pit, along with other tables. It’s partly shielded from Brownsboro Road. And on this trip I got the curry chicken salad sandwich, which is made with Granny Smith apples and dried cherries and is served on squash bread. This really was one of the best chicken salad sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. The sandwich is served open face, so you need a fork and knife to dig in. The curry is very subtle. And oh my word, that squash bread. Imagine a very savory, moist pumpkin loaf. It just had a hint of sweetness, straddling the line between lunch and dessert. If I could buy it in loaf form, it would be all over. I’d be even more of a carb-y mess than I already am. Sweet potato chips came on the side, and the waiter convinced me to try the lemon sorbet. It was the perfect ending to the meal, especially considering I was sitting outside in the sun. The sorbet came in a small jar and had grated lemon peel on top. It was sour yet still sweet. It hit the spot. Mesh is so large with its large indoor dining room with different dining areas, indoor and outdoor bars, outdoor patio and private rooms that I feel like I can visit and have different experiences each time. It brings an affordable fine dining option to Brownsboro Road, and I know I’ll be back soon.

Excellent!!! What a great addition to the Louisville restaurant scene. Opening day is tomorrow but was fortunate to go to soft opening. Service, food, ambiance and drinks were top notch. Started with the mesh salad which was awesome and just the perfect size. Entrée choice was diver scallops over grits seared to perfection. My wife had the roasted duck with waffles that was seasoned perfectly. Bar selection is plentiful with every bourbon connoisseur’s top choices served any way desired along with any spirit you can think of. Very excited that Mesh has redesigned and improved the old Azaleas patio that will be packed once warm weather hits. Can’t wait to return and try everything on the menu.
