Evergreen Liquors

This place is deceptive, as it looks like a smallish, generic liquor store from the outside. But believe me, they have a TON of selection and carry things you wouldn’t expect to find. They have my favorite Irish Whisky (Green Spot), almost always have my boyfriend’s favorite beer in stock, and plenty of things to try every time I walk in. They also have taps to fill growlers with loads of local choices. My boyfriend stops in once a week to pick up rare and hard-​to-​find beers; he’s never disappointed.
I’m almost afraid to let the cat out of the bag on this place, but hopefully they will get even more stock with more customers. If you need booze and don’t feel like driving to Springhurst Liquor Barn, definitely stop here and they’ll have what you need!

I walked in and was greeted with a smile and immediately asked, «Sir, is there something I can help you find? I told the gentleman what I was looking for. He told me to follow him and went directly to the product, took it from the shelf and handed it to me. Now, that is customer service!
Now everyone knows I’ve been looking for a specific German wine (Geil Riesling) I found out that they have a wine expert working right there in the store. After a pleasant conversation he told me if I could find the distributor, he would put in a special order just for me. Wow! Now that is customer service at its finest.
CONCLUSION: 100% satisfied. My number one pick for beer wine and spirits! These people care about their customers needs and wants, project a positive attitude and are very knowledgeable about the business!

Bigger than I expected it to be. I stopped in because I had time and I was looking for a particular whiskey. They didn’t carry it, but they have PLENTY of other options!

I’m sure everyone loves their local liquor store. The convenience of being close to home, the familiar face at the cash register, and knowing exactly where your usual favorites are located. Luckily for me, my local liquor store happens to be the best in Louisville. The bourbon selection rivals that of larger chain stores and is even better in some cases. This goes for their extensive selection of craft beer & wine as well. It’s fantastic that they consistently expand the craft beer selection and bring in new options to provide plenty to choose from. Recently they added the ability to fill your growler with local Louisville and Lexington brewery options which definitely helped increase the local feel.
Best of all the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly! They are always willing to offer suggestions and product knowledge without pressuring to buy or seeming pushy. And maybe I visit too often but they seem to know their all of their clients which is a nice local feel.
I highly recommend visiting this great local establishment, even if it means a drive across town for you! You definitely won’t regret it!

I think I have found my new go-​to liquor store for spirits. I was in the store browsing for offbeat bourbons, when out of nowhere some guy approached me and started talking about Bourbon. The man was Bill Boland, the store’s president. We talked at some length about bourbon and I got some great recommendations. I picked up some bottles that are definitely not available in your average liquor store out of state. They also have custom bottlings available (made for the store) at certain times of the year. One very special find was a bottle of 21 year old Bourbon that I had been searching for. They definitely have a very solid selection of Bourbon, and some of the rarities when they become available. I happened to luck out and get this particular bottle.
I didnt spend time looking around the wine selection, but as far as spirits go, they have one of the most comprehensive selections in the city. For example, I came across several brands of gin, scotch, absinthe that I have not seen elsewhere, even at Old Town or Westport Wine and Whiskey. They have a very nice selection of «minis» as well.
Prices? Very very fair. Some stuff may be a tad more expensive, but most stuff is very competitive with other stores, and perhaps cheaper. For example, I paid $ 52 for a bottle of Bourbon elsewhere when it was $ 46 at this store. The aforementioned bottle of 21 year was probably $ 20 cheaper than other places.
If you are a fan of good quality hard liquor you will like this store. The prices are good and the service is first rate and knowledgeable. I hate going into liquor stores and asking some clueless employee about top shelf booze. This place is different and very much worth the drive to Middletown. Look for Bill Boland when you go.

THis is a great store with every thing you need. They have the BEST BEER CAVE in the city. They have a ton of beer that you can’t find elsewhere. I am wondering how this place doesn’t have more reviews. Is this a HIDDEN GEM??? Seriously, do people not know about this store? I know I didn’t — I was just stopping in for a bottle of wine but ended up with beer instead because of the great selection. They have a HUGE wine selection too but I was googly eyed after hitting the beer cave. You know how they say that the more selection /​choices you have the more regrets you have that you may not have made the best decision? Yeah, well be prepared for that here. Just forewarning you. I am itching to go back and pick up several of the things that I passed on. But when that charge alert goes through from my spending to my husbands smart phone, I have to be cautious (ie — a good girl ;) or he would be like — «Seriously? a $ 50 charge at the liquor store — Again??!» Ummm… Yeah so like I said, they have a huge selection so be prepared. :)

My boyfriend and I get our dranks here! The selection is awesome and the employees are helpful and personable. The beer cave is awesome! Good one stop party shopping. Although they do not have red Curaçao… So no purple Geckos. (:
