Had the gyro. Tasty authentic Greek huge lunch portions. The lamb & beef were cooked just right. So many yummy food choices. Got the free Unilocal baklava. Loved the Greek music & atmosphere. Great waitress!

Not that impressed. The chicken kabob was okay, seasoned well but still okay. The rice it came with was alright too. Not that flavorful. The Hercules gyro that my boyfriend ordered was a major disappointment. In his words it was«not a gyro». It was cold, chunks of meat, not shaved. Just slabs. I ordered a side of feta, it was almost completely crumbled, yes I am aware that feta crumbles but when I order it, or get it as at a salad bar it is more cube like. The falafel

Great food, service is not the best but the food makes up for it. The pita and salsa is great great and the gyro is massive. Great experience overall.

**UPDATE** I had dinner here last night and it was awesome! I ordered the gyro un-pita(I think that was the name), a side of pasta salad, and a Sam Adams and it was only $ 17 and delish. My main dish was a HUGE bowl filled with basmati rice, chickpeas, gyro meat and Aladdin salsa. I also got a side of tzatziki sauce. Their pasta salad is my all-time favorite and we tried to coerce the recipe out of our waitress. LOL! I would totally up my rating to 4 ½ stars if I could. My mom had a glass of wine and the pitadilla w/gyro meat. Hers also came with a side of tzatziki sauce. That dilla was also HUGE and very tasty. I’ll definitely be back. I’m a sucker for well done Mediterranean grub. I could seriously eat it Every. Single. Day. :)

Found this place on Unilocal and thought I’d check it out due to good reviews. they did not disappoint! Had the hummus appetizer and the traditional lamb gyro and both were excellent. Way too much food for 1 person and I like to eat! Beer and wine selection was just right and server was friendly. Atmosphere was casual but not too casual. Would definitely return!

One of my favorite local restaurants. The food is always first-rate and plentiful. A $ 10 Hercules Gyros is enough to satisfy just about any appetite. Weekly belly dancing is a special treat.(Full disclosure: I’m friends with a couple of the dancers, but that is not a factor in this review.) And the management is super gracious and helpful if you have a special request or need. We always have a good time at Eat A Pita. I plan to be there this weekend!

I’ve had several meals here, and every time, I’ve been blown away. By far the best Mediterranean style cuisine I’ve ever had in the Louisville area. The menu is pretty deep, all of the food is delicious, proportions are sized well, and all menu items are mostly inexpensive. The service and atmosphere are always wonderful too. My waiter has been Mo, he’s a very polite and easy going guy. He also accepted my request to play some of their upbeat Greek house music, which is the freaking bomb. So, yes, 5 stars going out to Eat A Pita!

I’ve placed delivery orders several times, without any problems. The delivery person was always friendly, and the food is delicious! This is definitely my go-to for Taboulleh salad. Reminds me of how my Mom used to make it. Love this place!

Love this place. Love the fresh OJ they put into the bottomless mimosas. Great service, amazing food, fair prices. What’s not to love? Eat here.

Portion size where not that big. Maybe it was lunch order. Will come again the service was very good. Large place and board games which didn’t get to finish because they where on point with the food.

The mimosas with freshly squeezed orange juice yummmmm. The falafel is so fresh it’s still green on the inside. The gyro meat is delicious and I love the atmosphere. Will be back!

I love this place! Their food is delicious. Tonight I had the Kufta Kabob with a tahini salad. Nom Nom! The gyros are also excellent.

This place is amazing. The proportions are huge. The staff is very professional and even with 2 huge parties– still got our orders right and never let us go without without. Will definitely be back to try other great menu options.

Stopped in for a late lunch and I must say that I was a bit disappointed. Food was ok but only the side pita chips stood out. Service was a bit on the slow side and the tables were dirty for far too long considering the place was empty except for me and one other table. I ordered the chicken gyro Herculean size with pita chips and an iced tea. The portion size was decent but it failed to stand out and honestly it was a little bland. The grilled chicken was ok but didn’t have any stand out flavor or qualities. The pita chips were very good! I will get them with some hummus on my next visit. I’m optimistic about the kabobs so I will return sometime to try them. I got a free baclava thanks to Unilocal for checking in here. I’m not a big baclava fan to begin with so take this with a grain of salt but I didn’t really care for it. With that said, I only tried it because it was free so no real complaint here. Definitely check in on your next visit and try a free sample to decide for yourself

Went here. Said it was open, signage on door agrees. Doors locked. Bad move. The food was so delicious when I went the day prior, I wanted to bring more business with a party of 5… but business’ need to keep hours & web info concurrent so things like this don’t happen. Build me up & let me down. I felt like an idiot getting these ppl all stoked & than walking up to a locked door, with an open sign matching the hours on the door in accordance. Dur dur dur

Really liking this place, though I think it needs to figure out what it’s trying to be. With its live belly dancing(on occasional weekends), cozy ambiance, and emphasis on liquor sales, it seems to be styling it self as a something more than a casual fast-ish food eatery, but its inexpensive furniture and goofy name/logo suggest otherwise. Regardless, the food(an extensive menu of standard Mediterranean fare), service, and extended hours of operation are all positives, and I intend to enjoy this place regularly.

Got the Hercules gyro and free Baklava w the Unilocal offer. Tasted great and good value. Took half home as leftovers. They had the best food at Brew at the Zoo so decided to give them a try. Server was very nice and attentive. Only negative(and reason for 4 vs 5 stars) was the bathroom was pretty dirty. Sink not clean and toilet leaking(clean) water.

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. The inside has a small, but really nice seating area. The first thing I noticed was all the games they have for people to borrow. I’m all about that! The food was an even bigger, better surprise. I really think this is my favorite Mediterranean restaurant. I got the chicken shawarma pita and it was fantastic. It was quite large even just the regular size(the Hercules is double meat, double veggies). The pita had a great taste and great texture. A little thick and chewy. The chicken was well seasoned, and the veggie mix was bright and flavorful. I also got the pasta salad. It has a great taste but I wish it had veggies. Don’t forget to check in for a free baklava! Very good.

Like others before me, I was also distraught to learn last year that Zaytun closed. It’s so convenient… delicious food within walking distance to my house! I had also heard mixed reviews about Eat A Pita’s other location, so I was a bit wary when this opened. I’ve given this place probably 3 – 4 different chances and have to say I’ve been pleased each time! I’ve tried items ranging from the gyro to the pasta salad, falafel to the baklava. Everything has been really tasty. The employees are always very friendly as well, even when I just come in to get takeout. I’ll continue to frequent this location, but I never like to order more than just a gyro since I don’t want to pay $ 20+ for an easy dinner. Make sure you take advantage of the baklava check-in offer!

Hello from Florida. We have similar places down here and I’m a big fan of Falafel pitas. Ordered the Falafel plate and salad, It tasted great and was exactly what I was looking for. I’ve seen that other restaurants have come and gone at this location, so I hope this restaurant can make it. If not, then it has to be a location issue or limited parking. Good luck.

There is a lot to like here. The food is really fresh and flavorful. The chicken gyro had the right ratio of meat and fresh crispy lettuce and tomatoes. The pita was chewy but not too chewy. The staff are friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served. But, the parking is awful. If one of their three spots isn’t open then I’ll go somewhere else. It’s a shame because they are so good, just so inconvenient.
