The most disgusting meal we have ever had. It was bad the first time but new so we gave it another try. Took my brother and sister in law and was very embarrassed. It was so expensive — over $ 100. We mentioned how bad it was and they offered us a coupon to come back another time. No thank you! The garlic wine butter sauce tasted like someone poured lemon concentrate on top of it and called it a meal. My husband will eat anything and he couldn’t even stomach it. This place has now become the family joke.

They made our Valentine’s dinner extra special! The drink special tonight was very tasty. The food — delicious! Portion sizes were perfect. We could have split either of our meals easily! We will definitely be back! Thank you so much!

I don’t personally get all the bad reviews. My wife and I drove through the snow to come here for our first time, and she told me she«definitely wants to come back». The drink and food prices are all quite reasonable for the portion sizes you get. Happy hour until 7pm apparently, so better than most. The Bambinos were a good appetizer, and they brought out the Alfredo supreme for us to try, so we dipped them in the Alfredo. The Alfredo supreme with linguini and chicken and shrimp was my choice-very good! Highly suggest giving them a chance. Get the tiramasu before you leave-one of the best I’ve had!

If I could give this place a –10 I would. Uncooked vegetables. Actually raw vegetables were plated. Undercooked steak, dry salmon, STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE. YOUHAVEBEENWARNED. If you choose to dine at Delphinos don’t order anything complicated from the menu. Salmon, Steak, or chicken marsala. The food is under cooked/cold. Unhappy customers are considered difficult. The«kitchen is too small for a full restaurant» is a quote from the manager. We were also told that as the customer we should understand. We did inform the restaurant we were coming since a reservation was made for a party of 20.

Upon walking in we were greeted by someone whom I assume to be the manager and immediately sat. The appearance of this place looks like they did a cheap décor job. Although, it could be definitely have been worse. Server was very polite and attentive(borderline too much). My favorite part was the special they had. $ 7.99 for a plate of pasta– you pick the sauce. $ 5 extra for a topping such as meat. My sangria was good, very sweet. The bruschetta was decent and the Gambrietta(sp?) that was filled with cheese was as well. My angel hair pasta with supreme Alfredo sauce was a great choice.

I’m very glad I didn’t read any of the reviews before eating here. Our visit was apparently much better than others on here. While the place is certainly out of the way(up on a hill), we happened by it a few months ago and wanted to give it a try. We try to spend our eating-out money on locally owned restaurants as they usually seem to have better service and better food than chains. We weren’t disappointed at Delfino’s! We started with the bread knots(oh yeah!) and the antipasto platter. The platter had three cheeses, two meats and a good selection of vegetables. It was more than enough for two people and probably could have fed three. I had the pork agnolotti which is basically pulled pork wrapped up in pasta dough. It was spectacular! The pork was very tender and the sauce had lots of apple chunks, still with a little bite to them so they weren’t mushy. My husband had the steak and said it was just right. While I didn’t really have room for dessert, there was no way I was passing up Italian desserts. The limoncello marscapone cake was light, fluffy and creamy in the all the right spots and just enough that I wasn’t overfull. While the main dishes took about 15 minutes to come(normal for cooked to order meals), our appetizers came out in just a few minutes. The service was quick, friendly and competent. We never felt ignored even though our waitress had several other tables. We got there around 5:30 and there were only two other tables besides us. By the time we left an hour later, the place had really filled up. We’ll be moving in a few months to NC but would love to visit here again!

i recently purchased a groupon for this place and thought that i would save it to use for mine and my boyfriend’s anniversary. i don’t really eat much, but the groupon was for $ 15 worth of pasta. I purchased the groupon for $ 9. Well, was good until the check came. I will say, the food was good. I could tell the garlic knots and butter were made in house and confirmed that with our waitress(who was great, a little flustered, but a great server none the less). My boyfriend and I both opted to get the build your own pasta dishes $ 8 each. We also ordered the cheesy potato soup(very good), I had ordered the angel hair pasta with alfredo sauce. My fella ordered fettuccini pasta with alfredo supreme sauce. both were good(even though I got Fettuccini instead of angel hair) the food was pretty good. Just had to add salt and pepper because the sauce was a little bland. It was still very good. The alfredo tasted as though it was made in house, which is great. overall. food wise, i would have given this place 3 ½ stars. pretty solid food. Here is the crux in all of this. once we received the check, it had only removed $ 8 for the groupon cost. First off, I paid $ 9 for the groupon to start with. secondly, they didn’t want to honor the groupon. I spoke with the manager because I couldn’t believe the full groupon cost wasn’t applied to the ticket. The manager then proceeded to argue with me at the table about how the owner says that groupon screwed up when they made their listing, and how the groupon is supposed to only apply towards one dinner. There is not one thing listed on the groupon saying this. The manager then proceeds to tell me that the groupon is there to have guests order the more expensive pasta dishes. He refused to honor the groupon price and said that the owner had told him that just before he had left for the night. I couldn’t believe that this guy was acting like I was in the wrong. I read over the groupon several times before purchasing it. I’m very meticulous with groupons to make sure that what I’m getting is what I’m getting and that there are no crazy terms and conditions that will apply. Secondly, if I had known it was for just one dish, I would have ordered one of the more expensive dishes to share with my fella. Simple. When I tried to explain to the manager that they needed to honor the groupon and what they were putting out there. He shrugged it off like I was in the wrong. He said that groupon messed up when writing out the fine print and page and that he would not honor the groupon for what it was listed. When I told him that that wasn’t my fault, and that he should contact groupon to get the money from them for their error, he just said that they did get the money from groupon but wouldn’t honor what was listed. Finally after more arguing with him, I got to the point where I told him I needed to speak with the owner. He said that the owner had left, so I told him to get the owner on the phone. IWhen he started to refuse I told him I would blast the restaurant on social media due to the terrible service they were giving to groupon customers. He then agreed to call the owner. Finally, after waiting 20 minutes, the manager came back and said that he couldn’t get a hold of the owner, but he would finally honor the groupon and give me a $ 5 gift certificate to come again. Overall, I wish the experience had been better. I wanted to really like this place, but in the end, they need to learn good business sense.

This place was a little out of the way but so worth it! The mozzarella sticks are delicious and a huge portion. The rest of my party got the calamari and couldn’t stop raving about it. The beers are so cheap! Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. I got the salmon with vegetables, and the the bourbon glaze was excellent. The salmon was cooked perfectly! My boyfriend got the ravioli and he couldn’t stop raving about the sauce. The meat sauce was absolutely delicious and the ravioli was perfect. Our waitress was superb and couldn’t have been nicer. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful.

Ok, so quite a few«not so good» reviews out there. Well, here’s what I know: I had the best pasta plate in years. So let me set the scene, we’ve been aware of this new Italian restaurant for awhile as it sits in the old Bearno’s Pizza location at Taylorsville Rd and the Gene Synder Expressway. Finally, we made a point to take the family there after work on a Friday. I already knew what I wanted: a spicy Alfredo dish. On their menu, they had a build-your-own option, so I went with the linguini, Alfredo Supreme sauce and Italian sausage. It was AMAZING. My wife got the chicken parm, and the kids each got $ 5 spaghetti and meatball plates. The portions were large and everything was tasty. The staff was VERY nice. Having said all that, it’s kind of a weird place(which might make it cool). The entrees are a little too expensive, it’s not decorated well, the layout is strange, and the sweet staff looks a little disheveled. My sense is that they want to be something they aren’t yet, an upscale neighborhood Italian restaurant. Here’s why they got 4 stars: The food was very good, the staff was great, and the place was PACKED. They can fix the ambiance…

Went on a Saturday for date night. We both had the create your own pasta. Spacing between apps and entrees was well timed. We both enjoyed our dishes. My husband called out that I «cleaned my plate». :-) no complaints other than that the server seemed hurried and forgot a couple of things. But I got the feeling that they may have been short staffed, so no worries. As far as the food goes, we will definitely go back again.

Worst food I have ever had. We ordered salad and 2 pasta dishes. One was spaghetti and meatballs with marinaro sauce the other fetachini with chicken and pesto . The salad had old lettuce and tasted old with brown edges on it. The salad dressing was probably kraft out of a bottle. The spaghetti w MB was dismal. Chef boy r dee has more flavor. Meatballs were tiny and burnt. No garlic could be tasted in any dish.

We had a party of 5. Excellent service. The asparagus prosciutto appetizer was outstanding. All five of us enjoyed our entrees. Will definitely return and recommend to others.

As was others, was hoping that this would become our«go to» place in the area. Ordered calamari, and it was just OK. We decided to do pizzas. The toppings were good and the chef knew of a margarita style pizza, but the crust tasted like it came out of a sleeve — as in crescent roll. The air doesn’t seem to be working well… although I was ok… others in my party were uncomfortable. I am going to give them another chance on the entrée! Unless I am blown away by them, I am sad to say I would not go back. Too many other good dining options.

The only really positive thing about Delfino’s is that the people are very nice. However, they don’t know food or service. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was the only decent thing we had and technically, the mushrooms were not stuffed. The sausage was sprinkled on top of the dish. The minestrone soup should be a stable of an Italian restaurant and it had to be out of a can. A poor quality can. I couldn’t eat it. My companion said her Eggplant Parm tasted like a frozen TV dinner. My salad had no dressing because the server failed to tell the kitchen what kind. The pieces of lettuce were too big. I felt I had to cut each one before it would fit in my mouth. We asked more than once to have our glasses refilled. The bread didn’t seem warmed at all. The outside was the same soft texture and pale color as the inside. No crust at all to indicate that it had been in the oven. After being open for 2 weeks, I expected that the owners would have read their initial reviews and made corrections. Not the case. There is no décor or atmosphere which I would overlook for good food.

We have been waiting, for this restaurant to open. We are very happy that they have opened and that they have Italian food and outdoor eating, for those times you can sit outside, that was not tonight. The calamari was just OK. Unfortunately, we now compare all calamari, to Asiatique’s calamari, and it is a hard act to follow. But, the calamari came out almost too fast, as if it had been sitting. Very little sauce came with it, but we asked the waiter for more, and received more, very fast, and it was hotter. The Caesar salad is very good. The veal Marsala was very good and very hot. I like hot food. The calamari was not hot. We did not plan on getting dessert, but the salty caramel cheesecake was good and just the right size, not Cheesecake Factory huge. We will be back, to try some other dishes. We also will go back, to go to the bar, which had very nice appeal. They are new and I have high hopes, for them. I bet they will be 4 or 5 stars soon. Everyone was very friendly.

Less than impressed. We placed a carry out order and they left out some of the items. Wasn’t impressed by the look of the restaurant either. It was too bright and nothing to break up the room so you can se everyone in the area eating. Nothing in the way of ambiance. The bar area wasn’t much better with the same open and bright feel. Onto the food. I ordered Chicken Parmesan and it was lackluster. The noodles were a little over cooked and the sauce was bland and distasteful. The garlic bread was more like salty bread with a hint of garlic. The chicken was at least cooked through and the mozzarella was acceptable. We also had the Chicken Alfredo. It seemed thin on sauce and flavor. Lastly we had some of the lasagna and it was flat and soggy. We’ve no plans to return.
