Boo Boo Smoke Shack

Don’t let the startling looking dead cartoon pig on the truck scare you away from the deliciousness that wafts outside of this truck. And if you see a line in front? It’s worth the wait.
I’ve been waffling back and forth between 4 and 5 stars on my reviews as of lately because I don’t want to just be handing out 5 star reviews to everyone; I’ve got to have some standards! However, if I’m judging Boo Boo Smoke Shack in a lineup of other food trucks (and believe me, I have… my first trip to this truck was during an entire food truck event and this was the best one!), this one comes out on top.
Both trips I’ve been here, I’ve ordered the loaded tots. As good as everything else looks, it would just be too difficult to turn down fried potatoes with meat and dairy. On this last trip, the line was very short, which made it especially easy to choose this truck over others nearby.
The quality of the food is superb… I forget how incredible smoked meat is until I try to do it myself and realize I should just give up.
Prices are reasonable as well! Loaded tots are $ 8 and good luck finishing them… they’re substantial and filling.
I implore you to visit Boo Boos if you’re in the mood for food trucks… or just barbecue in general!

Anyone familiar with the streets around the Humana building and Wisky Row knows that on any given weekday you will find food trucks parked along North Brook Street between Witherspoon and Washington. There are always a few food trucks and the trucks do a good job of making sure there is a good mix of different types of foods.
I visited Boo Boo’s on 7.8.15 and I have to agree with Bryan S.‘s comment that this truck is one of the best. I ordered the Loaded Tator Tots and I damn near ate the entire thing before I made it back to the office. The serving size is large and well worth the amount paid. Don’t let the price scare you. This serving is well worth the price. This has all of the wonderful tasty ingredients one would ask for in a loaded potato dish, only this dish is blessed with the crunchy goodness of Tator tots.
Napoleon Dynamite would be proud!

I have stopped and tried many diffrent BBQ trucks and Boo Boo Smoke Shack is by far the best one in this city. I look forward to going downtown every chance I get hoping to find this truck sitting out. Boo Boo is always happy and willing to please his customers with a heaping portion of amazing smoked pulled pork.
