Affordable, fast, and tasty. The crust is very thin, even the thicker one. But if that doesn’t bother you, definitely give Blaze a try. My gluten free crust was the best I’ve had so far!

Unfortunately there is not a lower rating than 1 of 5. A one is a 1000 times more generous than this place deserves. To say the pizza was medicare would be the understatement of the past 22 centuries. An off brand uncooked frozen pizza purchased at the local service station would have had more favor and taste. The specialty pizzas where unimaginative and mundane. The sparse amount of topping sprinkled on the pie as a regular portion required a microscope to locate. Proceeding down the toppings line trying to be heard was like a christian passing through a Roman gauntlet while entering the coliseum. The place was staffed by teenie boppers. The majority of the patrons were high schoolers hanging out and low income workers trying to extended the buying power of their wages. If you are looking for terrible pizza at a low price this is the place for you. If you want to step marginally up go to service station. But if you want great pizza and atmosphere avoid this place like the plague.

Build your own personal pizza sounds promising and fun. However, this pizza was not anything special. The only thing I feel that makes this joint unique is the concept of building your own because it certainly was not the quality of the pizza. I arrived to the Middletown location around 1pm on a weekday and was surprised there was still a long line. The line moved fast and everyone seemed to be taken care of with a friendly smile. I opted for specialty pizza — BBQ chicken minus banana peppers. It was easy enough to order. Similar to Subway or Qdoba, it is made right in front of you with the chance to add or subtract anything you would like to the pizza. I paid for my pizza and then waited. While waiting, someone came up to the counter to exchange a salad because there was a hair in it(GROSS!!). The lady did not offer to cover his pizza or the salad cost(poor customer service in my opinion) but instead just gave him a new one with a simple, «sorry.» After that, I was immediately turned off but had to eat my pizza. I think my pizza cooked a little longer than it should have. The crust was dried out. It was crunchy to the point parts were brunt. My friend had gotten a cheese pizza and her crust was not nearly over cooked like mine. Between the hair in a salad and lack of proper handling of that situation and my overly cooked pizza which was devastating, I am only giving Blaze an A-Okay.

Friendly workers and yummy pizza! Sometimes there’s a line to the order but they work so efficiently it goes quickly. It’s a family fav!

I was expecting so much more, but I was disappointed. The pizza was good, but not great. The toppings didn’t seem to have much flavor. I couldn’t even taste the pesto and there was quite a bit on my pizza. I am not sure I will be returning.

Went here on a friend’s recommendation, and upon walking in the line was almost to the door, but it didn’t take very long to get through. In fact, within 10 minutes of walking in, we had gotten our food and sat down, so we were very pleasantly surprised. The choices are vast, so as a first timer I just picked a few things I knew I’d like, but next time I might experiment a little. Sliced green olives are an option, as well as regular, spicy, or white sauce. The pizza is very thin, and despite that it is perfectly crispy once it comes out of the oven. By the time I’d eaten one piece, everything had cooled down significantly simply because it’s so thin, but I like that. This location had a few different bottled beers to pick from, and there are tons of take home boxes stacked up if you can’t eat it all. Great concept, really great execution, a little noisy, reasonably priced, and clean.

I don’t know why I am just now discovering Blaze, but I am! If you’re looking for a clean, casual atmosphere and some great, wood-fired pizza at a nominal price point, then give this place a try. I have a gluten allergy and couldn’t have been more impressed. Not only do they have a gluten-free crust(that actually tastes good and not like your typical gf cardboard!) but they will do a glove change for you if you mention your allergy, to reduce cross-contamination. I got a veggie lovers with added pepperoni and canadian bacon and it was so, so good! Seriously, I will be dreaming about this pizza! Concept is create-your-own subway type of feel where your pie is created in front of you then quickly cooked in an open wood-fire oven. Casual deli dining atmosphere with serve yourself drinks. No tipping required.

Blaze was good enough to offer us two free pizzas after our previous experience was less than desirable! We were eager to give Blaze another chance as we really like the concept! I am happy to say that our pizza was excellent! Very affordable as 8.95 for a build your own is outstanding as you can get extra cheese and sauce and Blaze has a wide assortment of ingredients! I especially like the garlic and artichoke hearts! Atmosphere was nice! Not very crowded! Bathroom needed a little attention. We will go back as so reasonable and really like how you can build your own pizza with any ingredient! Just do not load it to much as I believe that is the reason my first experience ended in a blackened bottom crust!

Food is great, really awesome that you can build your own pizza with what you want. The staff however isn’t the best some of the people who work there are friendly and great but most of them are terrible. If they trained the staff better to have better customer service this place would be great.

Love this pizza! The perfect build-your-own pizza place that delivers on quality and affordability. I really like the wide variety of toppings. My go to order is a slightly modified Link In. Just add pepperoni and banana peppers and you’re good to go! If there is a line, don’t let it deter you from staying. The staff works hard to make sure you get your pizza quickly, and you are always greeted with smiling faces. Will definitely be back!

I enjoy blaze so much. Their pizza is delicious and they’re also really fast. The staff is always very friendly. I get a little confused as to why they have so many different people working the line. It seems like there is always a few employees standing around not doing anything. But they don’t let that effect the efficiency of making my pizza so I can’t complain. I love their selection of toppings. Very unique. I tried the spicy sauce on my burst visit. My complaint was that it was so spicy you couldn’t taste the other toppings. However in the numerous times I have been back, I have managed to perfect my pizza order. Just in case you wanted to try my «perfect pesto pizza» for the basil garlic lovers… I get regular sauce, mozzarella, goat cheese, basil, spinach, sautéed onion, garlic and oregano. Then top with pesto drizzle. MMMMM I have never been disappointed here and the pizza is very filling. One pizza is almost too much for one person but it’s too delicious to share. ;-)

If the thought of creating your own pizza excites your taste buds then this is the place for you. Upon entering and trying to place my order the server and I had to try to talk over the music. It was cool music, tryna be hipster, I think, but a little loud. Gosh, I’m not an old guy by any means but I just want to be able to place my order without raising my voice. It wasn’t packed, but then again it was only 3:45pm on a Sunday. I chose the create your own option and i call it. «The Mighty Mota» tons of mozz and feta and parmesean, on one half pepperoni and bacon, the other half roasted red peppers, olives and jalapeños and it all with topped parmesano, basil, and crushed red pep & oregano. Blaze in Middletown is a fun location. Not really a mom and pop feel. More like a Subway meets Pizza something-something. The pizza tasted great. Especially since I chose all the ingredients, it didn’t take too long to bake, the server shouted my name and I picked it up. The pan was hot to the touch but didn’t burn myself. All in all, I’d say it’s a good pizza for what you’re paying and if you’re craving pizza, this will definitely hit the spot for ya. It’s a different feel than going to a traditional sit-down mom-and-pop shop pizza place and you can feel that when you walk in, but it doesn’t really matter since the pizza is pretty good. Not the best, but good enough to pay 8 dollars. So if you’re craving pizza and you’re also feeling creative, stop by Blaze to fix that crave.

Very delicious. Also they have calories and offer vegan options. I love the concept(Build Your Own Pizza) and even though the food is low in calories, it tastes delicious. If you do not like your pizza, it is probably because the toppings you chose weren’t a good combination! It was very clean and the employees were on the spot. One last thing, the total amount of time it took to get three pizzas was less than 5 minutes! You can’t beat fast and tasty!

There is really no need for a lengthy review here. The concept of a Subway for pizza is brilliant. The toppings, dough, and sauces look and taste fresh. The pizza will taste as delicious as you want it to be. At around $ 8.50, you absolutely cannot beat the price for the pie. The downside is that a concept as good as this one is bound to be busy all the time. Expect a long wait in line, even when you order ahead online. The Middletown store is a bit too small for the crowds, but perhaps this will improve with time or additional stores in the area(hint, hint).

Terrific concept! Pizza is good, but not great. The idea of picking your topping for one price and getting your pie within 5 minutes is hard to beat. This place was packed. There was a long line for service the entire time we were there(party of 8 above average stay). My only problem with my meal is there was no one cleaning tables. Again, there were a lot of people going through this restaurant. The Restaurant was fully staffed, but not one person was dedicated to keeping tables and seats clean.

Great pizza! Fast service. Very polite and hard working staff. I get the simple pie here at least once a week. It’s my favorite pizza in Louisville.

I had previously been to Blaze in St. Matthews and was impressed with both the food and service. I’m a simple gal, so I ordered the simple pie. Even in its simplicity, it was dee-licious. And when I asked for more cheese(who wouldn’t?), they were more than happy to oblige. Plus, you can’t beat the price. I recently went to the Blaze Middletown grand opening a month ago and was incredibly impressed with the service. Despite an hour and a half line, service was extremely efficient. The workers managed to keep a smile and a happy demeanor despite working their tails off.

Loved it !!! Such a great idea ! 7.50 pizza, any toppings of your choice !! Fabulous and friendly. The toppings were plenty to choose from and even offered wine in a single serve container from the show SHARK ! And it offers an outside patio. Its my favorite pizza now in Louisville.

I love how tasty, economical, and efficient this place is. This location just opened, but it is already packed and well-staffed. This is a great concept when it comes to pizza.
