Absolute Skin Salon and Spa

It was hard finding a place in Louisville that excels at threading. Most places only do waxing, which not only hurts but leaves bad lines! I’ve been coming here for about a year and will not go anywhere else for my threading needs! Arati is extremely efficient and pays such close attention to detail. I always get so many compliments on my eyebrows! She always makes sure I am happy with the end result and cares about making a personal experience!
PS. The online booking is so convenient and makes it so easy to get in when you need to!

I don’t usually share my beauty secrets but Arati is amazing. I’ve relied on her for almost a year and love her professional service and her consideration for her clients.

I have enjoyed going to this salon. I have enjoyed the calm atmosphere and the personal attention I have gotten. I was really nervous about going to a spa to get my facial hair removed, as I have not had luck other places. This is the first place I’ve been where I have successfully had my facial hair taken care of, and it is wonderful!
I also love the convenient online scheduling they offer. I know some people prefer to call, and you can, but I like the flexibility of being able to schedule online.
And I like the honesty in the services. When I asked what I needed, Arati did not try to sell me anything extra, but was honest about my skin and hair. I really appreciate that!

This is the only place I’ve ever been satistfied with after getting my eyebrows threaded. She’s friendly, does an amazing job, and listens to exactly how you want her to do them! I plan on going to her for as long as this place is open.

My lashes start falling off day 2, chunks of it. DO NOT GO HERE. I got mink eyelash extensions this past Friday at this salon right before my bachelorette party get-​away in Cancun. It was a last minute decision since another salon I got a Groupon for was not available. What a horrible decision, everything was wrong right from the beginning.
The salon was completely empty when I showed up at 6pm on a Friday, upon my entrance the owner lady glanced at me and continued chatting on her cellphone in a foreign language. Finally she was off the phone and said that she was suppose to go meet up with some friends for an Indian festival if not for my reservation, right there I felt like a I was a bother. Then, she had me sit in a chair (the kind for haircuts) for over an hour with my neck raised. There were no pillows to rest your head on or a bed to lay down. My neck and back were hurting so bad by the time my lashes were done I could’ve used a massage.
At one point, my upper and lower lashes got stuck together since it was not properly taped, she was trying so hard to set them apart I was tearing up nonstop, I’m pretty sure she ended up cutting off my natural lashes to get them apart. This place is a nightmare!

This place is an absolute joke!!! since this place is close to where I live, I thought I would try their facial. I arrived on time but, there was no one at reception. They have a huge room with all salon chairs empty and no one at reception to take care of. I felt it was weird since it was a Saturday afternoon and I expected the salons/​spa to be very busy compared to a weekday. I called out if some one was there and with no response I decided to wait for sometime. I heard two ladies speaking in the back room which I think was the spa room. After like 10 minutes, there was another lady customer who walked in. With the noise with which she came, one of the ladies from spa room walked out. She stared blankly at both of us and went back silently to call the person in charge. Then came the actual person with whom I had my appointment for facial — Arti is her name. She already knew the woman who came after me and I understood that the woman wanted to get her service done quickly. She went to check her schedule and then realized that she had a facial appointment 20 minutes ago with me. She then looked at me and asked if its ok to attend her’s first. I was furious by then and she probably realized it by then and asked her to come after two hours. The lady customer then left and Arti went back into the spa room silently with a smile not even caring to intimate me the time it’s going to take. I thought that was it and left the place.
Too bad I have nothing to write about actual facial stuff since I never got a chance.
Never going back to this place … Save your time else where.

I booked my appointment online with Arati, it was my first time using this salon. I let them know in the comments that I had extensions and wanted them cut and curled/​styled. She was very nice and did a pretty nice job on the cut, however I had a problem with the styling. She asked me which curling iron I wanted her to use, and I chose a big barrel iron. So she took a piece of the hair and wrapped it around and deemed that the hair wouldn’t curl. This was simply not true because I curl the hair at home and it always looks nice and holds a curl. She then told me she would flat iron it. What made me a little upset was that she kept making it known that she loved straight hair, which lead me to believe that she just didn’t want to curl my hair. I booked the appointment because I didn’t feel like curling my hair and wanted to have someone else do it.
I’m not sure if I will go back for a hair service, but I think I would be willing to try maybe a waxing service.
