I’d had a toothache for about a year. On valentine’s day, my face swelled up and even air was hurting me. I had no insurance but thought I had an abscess so I looked up a nearby dentist. They got me in the next business day and I was charged for an exam. He was honest and that means a lot. It turns out that I had a nasty sinus infection and not an abscess like I had thought. He showed me on the xrays where he thought my sinuses were possibly infected. He was right! Id been suffering for a year wirh a sinus infection! He could have done work and ripped me off, but he told me to go see a medical dr. It took a few more visits with specialists but I finally found out that I have severe allergies and need daily meds for it. But the pain is gone as long as I take those meds. And I didn’t need a root canal to make the pain stop. I’ve decided that I will go back to him for my dental needs. His honesty and fairness meant the world to me.

I knew exactly what I wanted when I went to see Dr. Loveridge. I don’t have insurance so I took cash and told him exactly what I was willing to spend. He did what I needed and he did a good job. The only thing that bothered me was that he insisted I get more x-rays than I wanted then tried to charge me for them, which put me $ 50 over my budget. They sent me a bill once or twice, but then, to their credit, when I didn’t pay it, they erased it without me having to say anything further. Both he and his receptionist were very friendly and I am happy with the results.

Great dentist, wonderful staff and easy appointments. My only small gripe is that they really need to get some kind of entertainment for the patients. I know he’s old school and probably thinks it’s ridiculous, but many dentists now either provide DVD’s to watch or TV or some kind of headphones w/music. I will still go to him regardless because he’s awesome and all, but if you’re looking for modern day patient perks, they are not going to be here. Very Los Osos. Not very Los Angeles. Oh — one more thing — I’m totally an anti-dentite as Seinfeld put it. Dentist visits scare the crap out of me. But he was very kind and patient even after my panic attack on my first visit(no joke) so if you’re a scaredy-cat like me, look no further. Nothing but love here, even if you’re sobbing like a four year old.

I am a local resident of Los Osos and have had a toothache for the past few months that I was trying my best to ignore as I am a dentist-phobe. It got to the point where one day the pain flared and didn’t go away. I called Dr Loveridge’s office the next day and they got me right in. The staff was very warm and friendly and Dr. Lovridge immediately put me at ease. He was very forthright with me that he could do a root canal and crown but that the tooth would likely have to be pulled within another five years or so and that he didn’t recommend this solution unless I wanted a pricey temporary fix. I was very appreciative as he went over the various choices he believed I had and associated costs. I ended up getting my tooth pulled which I was bummed about but was thankful for the forthright honest advice based on what was best for me, not for the office’s bottom line. I am happy to have found Dr. Loveridge who I am now establishing as my new local dentist. He has a very friendly comforting manner, reasonable pricing and a convenient office with plenty of parking out front and his staff seemed great as well!

Dr Loveridge and his staff are amazing. I have been seeing Dr Loveridge for almost 15 years. He and his staff have been so kind and patient through SO many difficult challanges with me over the years. They really know their stuff, I couldn’t be happier with them.
