Ordered a pizza for pick up. asked for it to be well done, specifically mentioned it at the beginning and end of the order just to make sure. When we got home and opened the box it was undercooked to the point of the dough was simply raw. Like paste almost. We couldn’t eat it. The cheese was barely melted and hard. The crust, that was cooked, had the flavor of cafeteria pizza. Such a disappointment

Where do I start? This review is not about the pizza; I like it just fine. It’s the employees and management — wait; is there even management? Why do they not pick up the phone at 9:15 for a pickup order if they close at 10pm? Literally called for over 15 minutes and they did not answer. Now it’s the next day, we order two pizzas online and it says a 30 minute wait for pickup. Great. Get a call 20 minutes later«sorry, we’re out of wheat crust». No problem, use regular. I ask how long it will be. They say 25 minutes. Great, no problem. Cut to 20 minutes later and I get ANOTHERCALL. This time it’s «sorry, we’re out of vegan cheese.» It took them 20 minutes from the last call to figure that out?! They’re busy, she says. Good for you! Business is booming! You still need to work in an orderly fashion or HIREMOREPEOPLE?! The last time I went in there for a pick up, my order was a half an hour late, and I sat there watching all of the employees as they panicked and looked like it was their first day on the job. If you wanted to open a Zpizza in Silverlake because you thought it’d be good for business, than at least know how to run said business. Such a bummer every time we order.

i’ve ordered pick up from here a few times and it’s not particularly great pizza, to be honest. i’ve had a few types and everything lacks flavor. i barely tasted the artichoke hearts and capers which should be pretty bold. however, i do appreciate that they offer gluten free options, send coupons in the mail, and the staff is really nice.

The service was very polite and friendly and the restaurant was clean and well kept. I wasn’t a fan of the pizza, though. It was my first time there and I thought I would give them a try over Tomato Pie. It honestly tasted like store bought pizza I could make in my oven at home. There just wasn’t any flavor to it.

Pretty good gourmet pizza that has replaced Nicky D’s IMO despite being a chain. I have yet to have a disappointing pizza, and usually get the ham/pinapple or the ZBQ which is always a hit with everyone. The pizza is relatively light compared to most pizza places. Likely due to the thin quality crust. The only bad thing I’ve ever had off the menu is their«Hot Pollo Latino» Sandwich. Ugh, bad combo but a bad choice on my part from a pizza joint. Their other sandwiches have been pretty good. The Supersub in particular is a pretty decent italian style sub considering its from a chain. Their wings are on point, especially the bbq and chipotle flavors. Great for reheating in the oven too.

Vegan pizza! I ordered in store and came back 20minutes later and their delivery dude accidentally took it to one of the houses to deliver. They made me another pizza and upgraded it to a large and offered a free drink. The pizza was good, but I also never had a pizza I didn’t like.

We really enjoyed our visit to zpizza. I was lured in by a Groupon and live 5+ miles away in an area with other excellent choices for pizza, but I always wanted to try zpizza in Pasadena. I made the drive and found parking in front of the restaurant. The interior was clean and tidy. The order process at the cashier went through smoothly and the restaurant was neither too warm or cold(given the wintery weather experienced during this particular visit). The pizza itself was half Greek and half Berkeley. The crust was thin(gluten free), which for me is a test if a pizza place can bake a pie without ruining the crust. It passed admirably. The cheese was excellent and even the vegan cheese on the Berkeley side was«not bad»(I didn’t order the vegan side). The vegan sausage was pretty tasty, actually. I also ordered the gorgonzola/apple salad, which was perfect. Fresh and not drowning in salad dressing is how I like it. I would highly recommended zpizza in Silverlake to anyone.

One of my favorite pizza chains. Service here was great. The staff super nice and fast! I went with the mexican pizza and it was fantastic! So many great flavors going on, you can taste the quality for sure. Prices are a bit high at over $ 20(for an XL) pizza, but they are huge and that will feed 4 people easily. They often have specials and coupons to offset the price a bit. Clean and well maintained space, so glad we stopped in!

UPDATE: Benjamin the manager contacted me today and apologized for the inconvenience last night. He insisted I have the pizza today or a credit — for free! He went above and beyond anything I have experienced in LA as far as making up for bad customer service. He also threw in a gluten-free brownie. I’m eating my pizza now, and my hint for gluten-free is ask for extra crispy, then it’s not chewy. Thank you ZPIZZA for fixing your mistake. These guys had my order for over an hour and finally called me to say they needed to clarifying!!! And that it would take another hour!!! If you want a chewy gluten free pizza that requires 2+ hours to make ~ hit these guys up.

Pizza is supposed to be happy food. If pizza is making you sad, you need to rethink your life. I normally really enjoy zpizza, but I will never order delivery from here again. First of all, when we first ordered, it said it’d take 45 – 60 minutes. Long, but okay. After they had our money, we were told it’d take about 80 minutes. WHAT? No, that’s absurd, you can’t be serious. But wait we did. We even tried to contact the store and ask them what was going on, but they stopped answering their phones the second they closed. Horrible customer service. If you still have pizzas out on delivery for the next 30 min or so, and you’re still at the store, please answer your phones. After 80 minutes came and went, I decided to go to bed. Sam was convinced they weren’t coming, and was about to order from Domino’s, when there was a knock at the door. A dude was there with our pizzas. Hallelujah, it’s a miracle. I jumped out of bed to dive straight into my pizza, only to see that my vegan pizza was not at all vegan. AREYOUKIDDINGME. They used the vegan mozzarella but sprinkled parmesan cheese over the whole thing. Not that I could eat it, but it also was cold and missing both the basil and the garlic sauce. So much failure. Sam had an equally sad experience, and couldn’t believe how cold his pizza was. This pizza was sad pizza, and we’ll never make the mistake of ordering delivery from zpizza again.

**The number you are trying to reach is no longer in service** (What the)…can’t be! I set down the Zpizza brochure, and dial the number on Unilocal instead. *Ring-ring ring-ring…success* I brought it to the owners attention. He knew already. Makes me wonder how many poor souls are missing out on amazing amazing… did I say«amazing,» pizza. Zpizza has won me over so quick! Love at 1st. The vegetables colorfully decorated the thin crust pizza. The red bell peppers, paired with the green bell peppers, were so fresh and ever so slightly, but perfectly crunchy. Yum! The olives, mushroom, and zucchini… huh!!! *Gasping* «Amaze-balls!» Jalapeños …even the ones that fell off the pizza lay back resting in an almost empty pizza box. When 2 arms almost bumped reaching for them, they were chowed down. Not a single piece was wasted. I’m so in love that, I’m ready to leave Tomato Pie. Shhhh. ;) Zpizza uses REAL mozzarella cheese!!! Once you taste it, you will realize how so many others, have faked you out this entire time. This is the real, super stringy, fun cheese, that while you pull upward, the strings of cheese keep getting longer! The 100% organic red tomato pizza sauce is so delicious. Gluten free option available. But only in Small or Large size. You cannot buy the extra large pizza gluten free. Rules are rules!!! Next time, I will ask for the pizza to be made extra crunchy. This pizza is so good, you will want to eat so fast, and almost swallow whole… only to reach for another piece, before it runs out. But, take your time, and enjoy every bite. The service is extremely friendly! Both over the phone, and in person. If you do order over the phone, the wait is 20 minutes, before you can pick it up. They also deliver! Or, you can sit in, and enjoy while watching some TV. The parking maybe a hassle! But, do what you gotta do!!! I will be coming back. I can’t wait to try the salads next time. *Great choice to order…4 game night. In my game voice: Go Warriors!!!

I wonder if the girl at the counter so my look of utter despair as she handed me my pick up pizza. «For $ 20 is that really a Large?» I wanted to ask, but the power of deduction from the ascending sized pizza boxes from behind her answered me before I could ask what would ultimately be a rhetorical question. If you’re playing along at home — or behind your iPhone screen — that«large» pizza had a diameter of 13″. Ladies and gentleman, in New York that’s called a personal pizza. Maybe even a bagel pizza in some parts. For the math inclined, that’s only 42.25 sq inches Pi Pie! I mean it’s pizza so of course I ate that DiGiorno sized baby rattle. Scratch that. I don’t want to defame DiGiorno, this Mama Celeste looking pizza bite. The results? Not positive. The dough, made with non-gmo flour, was chewy and undercooked. With ZPizza’s attention to ingredients I would have expected something yeastier and more flavorful. I ordered the Greek, which is topped with mealy sliced tomatoes whose cores resembled styrofoam; I wonder if they are non gmo, too? Doubtful, son. The onions were fine. The olives sparse and slightly salty, so most likely not from a can. Props! The cheese was thick but only melted to a gel-like covering. My dog didn’t even beg for my crust!(Good girl!) At least I can easily hide this tiny Sbarro single slice pizza box and my neighbors will never know I was fooled by Honey I Shrunk the ZPizza.

I don’t eat pizza very often as someone who is allergic to wheat because it reminds me of how sad life is. Having been diagnosed just less than a couple of years ago, the lovely taste and texture of gluten is still burned into my memory. This makes eating gluten-free pizza, pizza being the holy grail of comfort food, a sad, pathetic experience every time hands down, which is what happened today. Don’t get me wrong, Zpizza is delicious. There was nothing ugly about their pepperoni pizza — the sauce was spot on, cheese was melty and stringy, and pepperoni was crispy just the way I like it. The downfall? Chewy gluten-free crust. I was glad I wasn’t on a first date because boy, I was chewing and chewing and chewing. It was almost as if I was eating pizza gum(now that’s an idea!). It was not a pleasant experience, and I only got through one slice before my jaws quit. It’s interesting because we had gluten-free at the Zpizza in Seal Beach and remembered a good experience. Perhaps different franchise locations do things differently. I’m not sure. But no more pizza gum for me.

This is their first week open so things can definitely improve. I went for their grand opening which was more than generous as they gave people 2 free slices and a drink. The service was super friendly and appreciated! The pizza though, yikes. The crust has a cardboard texture and the flavor isn’t far from that either. There is hardly any sauce, and sadly that might be a good thing. Everything is incredibly dull and I honestly think Little Caesars is better. The location is fantastic and I’m really rooting for them, but the pizza needs a lot of attention. Hope they do well.
