This is no typical fashion show… The girls aren’t dainty or hangers… They don’t walk like the high fashion models… They’re… ZOMBIES! Yes! Zombies I say! A few of them will bite and grab. ;) The fashion show was great! I would definitely go again next year. If I could be one of the zombies, I would. hahaha. Too bad… I don’t know who to contact… This year it was at Lot 613 in Downtown LA. So here’s the pros: –Fashion show with zombies –You get to see the makeup artists transform models to zombie –Great artwork –Live band –DJ –Free photo booth with awesome props. –Bar(not open though) –Did I say. zombie models? Here’s the cons: –Freaken HOT in there!!! I was baking and sweating. It’s called AC people. –_– –Where the hell were the All-You-Can-Eat pancakes? No signs to indicate where it was. I forgot about it until the end when I saw people eating pancakes. –No schedule, so no idea when band came out or when the fashion show started –Fashion show was supposed to start at 9:30pm, according to one of the staff, but it didn’t start till 11pm. Everyone was waiting foreverrrrrr. Good thing a few people left so I was able to stand in front and see the zombie models up close. Muwahaha sucker. I didn’t come all the way to Downtown LA to miss THIS! –There was no platform for the models to walk on. So that means… a lot of people were not able to actually see them because everyone’s head/hands/phones/cameras were in their face. So sad… this is supposed to be a fashion show! But I was lucky I was up close and person so I can’t complain for myself. –Could have used more artwork. It was very minimal. –AC! I’m meltinnnggg…

When I attended the Zombie Fashion Show yesterday, I had a fun night. It was a $ 10 cover. I saw some incredible talents and gory zombies. The artworks on the walls are average. There were a couple of interesting artworks up, not many. The best part was seeing the make-up artist work on their zombies. The make-up artist did an incredible job on the sexy models of various heights and sizes. The room was getting crowded and stuffy as more people arrived to see the Fashion Show. It felt like an oven in the place. At about 10:30pm they started to line the models in a uniform line to strut the runways with ease as the music banged in the background. The zombies came out one by one, then in pairs and then in groups and then individually again. It was an eyeful of gruesomeness. Some walked, some shook, crawled and ate parts of themselves. The drinks here are so-so. I missed out on the free zombie pancakes, which would of been cool to try. It was made by the Pancake and Booze Art Show. The zombie photo booth by Snap Yourself was awesome. This event could of been organized better. The audience, models & make-up artist were confused about how the judging worked. The models strut the walkway twice and return back inside the room and instantly 5 models walked on stage and the announcer announced that they were the finalist. People got confused as how the models got chosen. The left over models in the room were left standing there waiting with no information of what was happening or if they were a finalist or if they could go home and get cleaned up. The crowd dispersed when they realized that those were the 5 finalist. It was disappointing to see. They wanted the audience to cheer as votes between the 5 finalist present. Some stayed and some went in the room to tell the models the finalist were chosen and that they thought the models in the room were better. One model went out to inquire and came back upset and reconfirmed the news. By then everyone just started to leave feeling like they’ve been deceived. The place was like a baking oven. It was fun watching the show, but disappointing to see the results.
