Tried the drunken noodle special today. Mostly over-cooked, but some was still raw. Had a 30 minute wait after ordering before the food was ready. Not impressed.

On my first visit, I had the panang curry rice bowl for $ 6.50. The sauce was good but the portion size was meager. There was hardly any chicken! I’d say it is a 2-star item. On my second try, I had the BBQ chicken rice bowl and it was much more substantial. It was a decent portion size with a healthy amount of chicken pieces. It is a bit on the oily side, but if your lips are chapped they will be relieved from the fresh layer of vaseline left after eating this meal. At $ 6.00, it’s a much better value than the panang curry. I give it 4-stars.

another review from me thats not bad, but not great. i had the chicken curry from them. at first, i was disappointed in the serving size. it just looks small. but as you eat it, i realized it was just enough for a lunch. the food didnt wow me in any sense, but at the same time it wasnt bad. i wouldnt mind eating from this truck again, assuming this was the only truck that was around and i was too lazy to drive my car elsewhere that day. if there were other truck options to eat from, i would try them first.

Better than I expected. I ordered the Thai Fried Rice with Grilled Chicken — it wasn’t bad in that it wasn’t completely bland or completely flavorful. I think I could’ve asked for sauce on the side or something, that would’ve made it better. Anyway, my order did not arrive in a bowl, which their name suggests, but in a large take-out container, so I did get my $ 6’s worth. The rest of the menu looks good, so I may one day if I REALLY felt like it, try their other dishes. Maybe.

I don’t like the truck design ATALL(kind of weird looking, kind of offensive? and bizarre) but I was really craving yellow curry and so decided to try this truck out… Even though the portions are kind of small, I have to say I was not at all disappointed with the flavor. They have giant potatoes, carrots, onions, and chicken pieces so they def dont skimp out on the ingredients. But for 6.50, can’t say that I’d be able to frequent it often. It also wasn’t too crazy heavy or anything as I’m quite particular of curry. Made right there on the spot so it was super hot. I really wanted to try their thai iced tea, but maybe next time.

Went again, I don’t know why. They were out of pad kee mao(drunken noodles, no idea why they call them that though) when I got there at noon. Ugh. That should have warned me to stay away. Ordered BBQ Pork and Lemongrass chicken instead. Combo is pretty reasonably priced. Don’t know why it took more than ten minutes to get my food– why are most novelty food trucks so damned slow??– but when I got it… well, it was the same bland rice as the first time. And I couldn’t really tell the BBQ pork from the chicken– the BBQ pork was that flavorless, and the chicken was only marginally better. And their website is still an atrocity. Twitter? HAHAHA forget it.

I’m surprised at the bad reviews for this truck. I got a chicken with yellow curry($ 6.00) and was surprised at how good it was. A little on the bland side, and runny — but it tasted delicious, had a surprising amount of chicken, and the carrots, onions, and peas were all just right, not distracting from the curry. Plus, they wrap the rice in aluminum foil so you can mix the rice with the curry yourself and don’t have to worry about it getting soggy if you don’t eat it right away(nice touch). That said, their website is pretty terrible, but it doesn’t detract from the food.

Shared the Chicken Panang Curry and Spring Rolls and side of grilled pork. All were decent none that amazing. The grilled pork was the best of the bunch. The art work on the truck is cute and definitely more attractive than the food. The prices were reasonable. Thai is definitely a departure from the other Asian fusion trucks that are rolling around the city of angels.

Um, my drunken noodle(spicy basil noodle) tasted like pad thai. The cook is Thai, so I wonder if he even tastes his own cooking?

this review is just for its chicken satay with peanut sauce($ 3.50). The chicken was not bad at all, but I wished the sauce would be a bit thicker. It’s too runny for me and while I was waiting for my order, I realized, there were 3 other trucks in the vicinity, Greasy Wiener, Nom Nom, and Vesuvio LA, only this one has no other customers, I wonder why.

3.5 stars, but this is definitely a round down spot. After avoiding this truck for a while(not-so-good word of mouth + tacky looking truck) I decided I needed to give it a shot. Went with the special of the day: Thai BBQ Pork. Came with rice and«salad». The«salad» was a joke, some poorly cut veggies with a dribble of peanut dressing. I decided to just munch on the onions, since I can eat an onion like an apple. I think Mark Mcgwire(cheesy cultural reference i know) must have farmed theses onions, cause they were strooooooong. And not in a good way. The pork was not bad, fairly tender but lacking any significant flavor. The rice was very fluffy and delicious though. This is neither the worst nor the best food truck i have been to, and its a decent amount of food for the price($ 6 for pork, rice and«salad») If your just plain hungry and aren’t in the mood to hunt down any other trucks, then this is a great bang for your buck.
