I love going to Yoga Whale. Instructor Chigusa Saga is the best around. She forms relationships with students, treating them more like friends than clients. I love that because I’ve been in many yoga classes were I’m just a number. There’s benefits to being in class but I couldn’t really brake the mold and move forward without personal instruction. Chigusa knows my body better than I do. She opens me up, allowing energy to flow, which staves off injury and illness. With her encouragement, I’ve done posses in her class that I didn’t think were possible, amazing myself. Her classes are always fun and lively. We do flow, followed by deep stretch with props and pranayama. So I get strong, open up and mellow out. And Chigusa is known as «Prop Master». Girl can work a prop. She’ll prop you up like you wouldn’t believe! Yoga Whale is a great place to get strong and flexible. It’s very easy to get to, right in the heart of Koreatown on Wilshire east of Crenshaw. There’s plenty of FREE parking directly behind the studio, which is rare for Koreatown. I encourage anybody tired of living with aches and pains, people who are thinking about trying yoga and people who already have a yoga pratice to try Yoga Whale. There’s nothing to loose becuse the first class is free and there’s no obligation to make a commitment or buy a package or anything. Beginers, don’t feel intimidated, we’ve all been there. Chigusa will guide you and support you. She’ll even loan you a mat. Advanced/intermediate people, Chigusa will move your practice forward. Yoga Whale is a great LA yoga experience. I’ve never had a bad class there.
