One of the best shopping experiences in the greater LA area, or anywhere for that matter, for the following reasons: 1) A great, manageable-sized boutique beautifully arranged and filled with the best higher-end but not at all unaffordable fashion 2) A staff which is attentive and very observant of the customer’s taste, but not at all pushy or overbearing 3) A great location in between the Valley and Westside, in a mall with places to eat, so when you meet your friends from the other side of the hill, you can continue your day here 4) Just about the best buyers of any boutique anywhere, judging by the selection of the best of today’s top designers of women’s sportswear, including but hardly limited to Rebecca Taylor, Vince, Wilt, J Brand, Elizabeth and James, and Michael Stars. 5) A perfect mix of t-shirt/jeans and dressy/formal, so whatever you’re looking for, you’ll find a great version of it here I work at a very successful ladies’ clothing boutique on the Westside, but whenever I get a chance to meet my Valley friends, I always insist on the top of the Glen so I can get«dessert» at Yellow Dog. Shopping there is like going to a friend’s home who just happens to sell amazing clothes out of her closet. The ladies who work there make us feel so welcome, and behave as if they are genuinely happy to see us. So far I’ve only had the pleasure of meeting Rachel and Elieka, but if the rest of the staff are like them, they’re all bound to be wonderful, welcoming, professional, and really expert at providing suggestions and advice in a friendly and completely non-obtrusive manner. If you want to spend a lot of money, there are plenty of opportunities here with designers such as Missoni, but there are also tons of amazing tanks and tees and jeans, and many other great items which you can buy without mortgaging your house. Yesterday I bought the prettiest pair of sparkly gold ballet flats with beautiful golden ribbon lacing up the ankle, plus a great denim-blue tank, for less than $ 200. A bargain, considering the pleasantness of the entire experience made the purchase worth even more than $ 200. So, basically, there’s something for everyone at Yellow Dog. I’m just glad they aren’t closer to my home or I’d really have to mortgage the house(well, my mom’s, since I don’t own one of my own :-)). Thank you Yellow Dog for doing such a great job at parting me with my money, so hard to do since I work at a great store too, where I get everything at a sizable discount. It’s really hard to coax me to spend full retail dollars on anything, but you do it every time. Thanks… I think!!!

What a cute boutique! Our friends S and C took us here this evening(along with their 9 day old baby) and I had never been to the Beverly Glen Circle shopping center. What a treat. I’ve been in search of a good leather jacket, and they had some great bargains. Vince and Twin Set marked down 50% and I found the perfect one for me. They also had Nannette Lapoor and Hudson jeans and cashmere scarves… fun, fun, fun.
